(This story takes place before Trolls World Tour and Poppy is still the Princess)

It was Valentines day in Troll Village, everyone was passing out cards and candy to there loved ones. But this Valentines Day was different well for Poppy it was. She was going to tell her best friend Branch how she feels. She was really nervous but she thought she could do it.

DJ: Hey Poppy wassup?

Poppy: Nothing I'm just..

Satin: Nervous?

Poppy: Y-yeah....wait how did you know?

Chenille: Its kinda obvious *crosses arms*

Smidge: Yeah

Poppy: Anyway who are you guys asking out hmm?

Twins: No one.

DJ: I guess guy?

Smidge: Milton

Poppy: Well that's co-

Branch: Hey guys!

Poppy: Uh h-hey Branch

DJ:Hey dude 

Branch: So are guys coming to the Valentines Day dance?

Twins: Yup

DJ: Totally

Branch: Good because I  have a surprise anyway see you guys

Poppy: b-bye

DJ: Girl your a nervous wreck -_-

Twins: Lets go get the outfits 

Smidge: Yeah lets go 

All the girls followed the twins except Poppy she was thinking about the surprise Branch had, she was really curious. 

DJ: Are you coming Poppy?

Poppy: Uh yeah.

The girls spent hours getting ready. Poppy wore a pink sparkly dress with a black belt and a black choker with a pink diamond heart. DJ wore a black sparkly dress  with a silver lines all around the dress. Smidge wore a blue sequin dress that was really shiny. 

And the twins wore rose gold dress with a black belt and diamond rings. 

The girls were ready to go to the dance. The dance was held right outside the Troll Tree, the decorations were beautiful. The girls were talking until they saw Branch with a girl?!

DJ: Wow cute chick at twelve o'clock 

Smidge: Who is she 

Poppy: I-I don't know 

DJ: Maybe a friend of Branch's?

Satin: That just so happens to be clinging on  to his arm?

Chenille: Are they....

Branch: Hey guys

DJ: Hey dude

Branch: So this is my girlfriend Venus 

The troll had light blue hair and green skin and wore a dress with flowers and vines.

Poppy: G-girlfriend...?

Venus: Hi its so nice to meet you Poppy. 

Milton: Hey Smidge can i talk to you 

Smidge: sure?

Smidge and Milton walked away from the group they were chatting until.

Milton: Smidge, there is something i want to ask you

Smidge: What is it?

Milton: *sigh* W-will you be my girlfriend?

Smidge: Of course i will !

Back to the rest off the group. 

Satin: So um Venus where did you get your dress?

Venus: Made it myself.

Chenille: Wow um that's great.

DJ: So um  do you like to listen to music?

Venus: Of course sometimes I DJ for parties

Branch: Isn't she great

Poppy: *mumbles* Not really..

Branch: What was that?

Poppy: N-Nothing I'm just going to go to the bathroom. 

DJ: I'll go after her

Venus: Babe, i'll be right back

Branch: Okay

In the girls room Poppy was crying, her crush already had a girlfriend and it seemed like she was "perfect".

DJ: Poppy, its alright

Poppy: No it's not *sniffs* 

Venus: Well well well is the poor Princess crying  because she didn't get the guy she wanted?

DJ: What is your problem

Venus: Look i just want to let you know Princess, Branch is mine. Okay?

Poppy: No he's not *stands up*

Venus: Look stay away from my boyfriend or you'll regret it.

Satin: *comes in with her sister and Smidge* Leave her alone

Venus: Oh look your own little army. Ha it wont be standing long Princess. 

Chenille: We said LEAVE HER ALONE

Smidge: What part of that did you not understand

Venus: *puts on fake scars* Ow that hurts SO much haha. Bye Losers *pushes them out the way*

Poppy: Wait What is she....

The girl come out of the bathroom and saw Venus crying and telling Branch something. Branch look really mad and stormed over to Poppy.

Branch: Poppy, we need to talk 

Poppy:..Yeah?

Branch: Why the hell did you hurt my girlfriend

DJ: She didn't!

Smidge: We all saw what happened Venus- 

Branch: Shut up. Look Poppy there is no reason to be jealous of what i have you know

Poppy: Wait What?

Branch: Stop bullying Venus

Satin: But She didn't

Branch: I said SHUT UP, now if you'll excuse me my girlfriend is hurt.

Poppy: *starts to cry* I'm going home *runs away*

DJ: Poppy wait!

The girl followed Poppy all the way to her pod.

Satin: Poppy wait!!

Poppy:..what

DJ: Can we stay the night to make sure your okay?

Poppy: Sure..

In the morning the girl were just doing there hair when they heard a knock on the door.

Poppy: Come in

Branch: Poppy we need to talk.
