"How do we know what dinosaurs sound like?" Ashton giggled to himself as we sat on my bedroom floor with a beer bottle in hand "It's not as if someone recorded it"

"Ash I have no clue" I laughed "The same reason I don't know if you can tell if sour cream has gone bad"

"Or if you were born again would you have two buttons on you belly?"

"Would a fly without wings be called a walk?"

"If one synchronised swimmer drowned, would they all have to? Because that would be sad"

"What was the best creation before sliced bread?"

"Why are hot dogs sold in packages of six but hot dog rolls are sold in packs of ten?"

"Why are there five syllables in the word 'monosyllabic'?"

"Isn't it a bit unnerving that when a doctor does a surgery, they call it a practice?"

"Kayden! You're making my brain hurt! Shut the fuck up!" my older brother Nathan shouted from downstairs causing us both to burst into fits of laughter

"Why are you even drinking on a Tuesday night?" he asked coming upstairs

"C-cause Kayden is sad" Ashton giggled again and hiccuped

"Why is Kayden sad?" Nathan said in a baby voice

"Cause he didn't ask Meg on a date!"

"Shut u-up Ashton" I whined

"It's true though" he teased

"Why don't you ask her now?" Nathan asked

"Cause she not at school today and she's probably gone sleepy bys" I told him

"Wouldn't it be a shame if someone else was to ask her tomorrow? You would've missed your chance!"

I jumped up and tried running but stumble and fell sideways into the bathroom.

"Nailed it Kayden" Ashton laughed

"Shhhh" I laughed

Nathan handed me his car keys "Hold these for a second"

"Nathan! Take my keys I'm too drunk to fly" I handed them back without realising what I said. I sat on my butt and slid down that down the stairs crashing into the shoe rack at the bottom.

"Kayden for fucks sake how much have you had" Nathan asked picking me off the floor

"C'mon gentleman we must proceed!" Ashton flung open the front door with leaves and twigs all over him

"How did he get downstairs?" I mumbled

After Nathan finally got me and Ashton in the car we drove off.

"So where does she live?" he asks

"I don't actually know" I giggled

"What's her last name?" he sighed

"Brooks. B-Brooksy. Bobrooks. Broobs. Boobs." Ashton laughed softly

"Wait I know them" Nathan turned the car around and drove Meg's house.

"We're here!" he pulled up

Ashton and I scrambled out the car stumbling a bit and Nathan drove off.

"Do you have a plan?" Ashton asked me

"Er no. Not really. But bend down I need to stand on your shoulders"

-Megs POV-

"I'm gonna head up to bed Beau" I got up and stretched

"Am I not comfy enough for you?" he pouted

"Nah" I giggled and climbed the stairs

I got changed into some cleaner pyjamas since Id been in the same pair all day and put my hair in a ponytail. I saw a shadow in the mirror coming from behind my curtains.

I slowly opened the curtains to see a sight I really, really didn't expect to see.

"Yes Ashton! We got the right window!" Kayden called down below him

I pulled my window up "Can I help you?"

"Y-Yes you can" he grinned

"How are you in this position?"

"I'm standing on Ashton's shoulders"

"Hi! Kayden weighs a ton!" I heard and looked down to see Ashton waving at me with a huge grin on his face.

I waved back "Have you been drinking?" I asked scrunching my nose up at the smell

"Just a bit. I'm not drunk if that's what you're asking"

I held you four finger "How many?" I asked

He squinted "I don't have my glasses"

"You don't wear glasses I thought" I said

"He does! He looks like an actual dork with them on!" I heard from the ground.

"Ashton! Shhh!" Kayden whined.

"Kayden why are you at my window at eleven at night?" I asked. Not that I minded anyway.

"W-well er." His cheeks flushed an adorable red as he stuttered "I was wondering if you want to go out sometime? With me?"

I was beyond shocked. I stared at him for a few seconds before a big smile broke out into my face.

"Yes. Yes I will" He let go of my windowsill and brought our lips together. This was it. My first kiss. Not how I imagined it would go, but it was with the person I'd hoped it would be.
