will power
it took a lot of guts for me to write this... i'm broken and i hate it.
hunter you were my brother, the only thing left that made me feel welcomed and safe, after knowing our parents weren't going to make it back to us as children, you took the place to keep me warm, tuck me in late at night when i fell asleep watching movies. you made sure i ate, had slept okay and you had this sixth sense when i wasn't okay, you always asked if i was, you were like spider man to me, always on the run making sure everyone around you was safe and happy. you never were able to see a sad face around you because them just seeing you, made them smile. knowing they had someone there for me, knowing i had someone there for me, you made me feel like my world was finally being built back up with happiness, confidence and trust. you loved me more than mum and dad did, you made sure my kids were under your protection when i was working. you always had my back, and you always will. when two people in military uniforms came knocking on our doors, i broke down immediately, i didn't and still can't believe they took my brother away.. you knew you weren't coming back, but we at home, we had no idea we'd never see you again. thank you for making sure i was okay under your arms that you can now call wings, fly, fly wherever you may need to fly but please, always come back to us once in awhile. i will never forget your charming smile, your contagious laugh and the way you held me when i was heartbroken. you will always be the best brother to me, i promise to stay as strong as long as you'd want me to. i promise your nieces and nephews won't forget about you. we love you hunter, everyone around you loves you too. say hi to mum and dad, grandma and our dog. stay safe up there.
------------------------------------------------
at this time i ask for privacy and respect from each and everyone of you who knew of hunter or even talked to hunter, we all know this man was a missing piece to at least a few of us. and please, if you do decide to go in the military, be safe, keep your head up and know the boundaries and risks you are taking. the country may need you, but your family, friends, and significant others need you as well.
