Livvy.

Livvy wasn't there.

And that was a problem.

Because Livvy would never be here again.

He was up against the wall, and Kit was holding him tightly, just like he knew he needed.

Good. Kit was good, and he was shaking uncontrollably. He needed to stop.

So he leaned deeper into the embrace, drawing strength from Kit, and took deep breaths.

And he stopped shaking.

"Are you okay now, Ty?" He could hear Kit's voice. He was always aware of Kit. In the training room, he would always be able to tell where exactly he was, without looking in his direction.

"No. I do not think that I will be okay for a long time."

"Okay. That's okay. Nobody expects you to. But... Ty?"

"Yes, Kit?" He said, turning to look him in the eyes, as he did so seldomly and for so few people.

"I just want you to know, that you'll always have me. I'll be here for you, always. Anything you need. Okay?"

"Promise?" And he knew that Kit knew Ty valued his promises more than anything.

So as he stared at Kit with his big gray eyes, so different from the rest of the Blackthorns, Kit did not hesitate as Ty thought he would.

"I promise, I will stay." And he sealed it with another tight hug.

A/N: ok, so that was a chapter from Ty's point of view... I just tried to do it how I imagined Ty's train of thoughts, kinda scattered.
I know that it was REALLY short, and I was gonna write more, but honestly I think I like it better with his POV ending like that.
