Fawnpaw POV

"Remember, sheathed claws only. This is training, not an actual battle." Crowsong looked between both Apprentices.

Fawnpaw was extremely nervous. For one, it was her first training session with another apprentice, Rainpaw but also because of what happened three nights ago...

Rainpaw suddenly leapt at Fawnpaw and she reared up, batting her paws at him. He briefly backed down before bowling into her, knocking her down.

Fawnpaw tried kicking him off her with her hind legs but Rainpaw overpowered her, pinning her down.

"Okay, okay- You w-win!" Fawnpaw winced.

She looked up at Rainpaw and he looked down at her... Bitterly. Fawnpaw shrunk in fear, as Rainpaw unsheathed his claws and scratched her face and shoulder.

"Rainpaw, that is enough!" Alderpelt snarled, grabbing Rainpaw by the scruff.

Crowsong helped Fawnpaw to her paws but the look Rainpaw gave her... She wasn't welcome here, she never would be... And so she ran.

"Fawnpaw!" Crowsong called after her as Alderpelt dropped Rainpaw.

"Let her run." Rainpaw spat,"Let her stay out in the cold and the dark by herself."

Fawnpaw heard those words as she ran and felt tears stinging her eyes as she continued. She didn't even know where she was anymore but she was tired and sore and scared...

"Hey! Stop!"

Fawnpaw froze at tbe unfamiliar voice only to realize something as she sniffed the air... She wasn't on WaterfallClan territory anymore...

Fawnpaw could feel herself begin to tremble as three cats who looked around her age jumped out, probably apprentices too.

There was a pale, ginger, tom kit with blue eyes, a light grey, she-cat with light patches on her pelt, dull green eyes and a small tail and a dark greyish blue tom cat with amber eyes and large, white paws.

"Who do you think you are on CavernClan territory?" The light grey she asked, standing her ground.

"I-I'm sorry, I was just running- I didn't realize-" Fawnpaw stammered, backing away.

"Wait, look." The ginger tom stepped forward,"She's injured."

"Huh?" The greyish blue tom looked her up and down,"You're right, Runepaw! Did someone attack you?"

Fawnpaw nodded slowly, trying to keep herself very low to the ground.

"Skypaw, what should we do?" Runepaw turned to the light grey she-cat.

Skypaw looked like she was thinking very hard about what to do,"We should take her to Snowcloud, a good apprentice looks after others."

"T-thank you." Fawnpaw looked up at them.

"Runepaw, Featherpaw, you walk beside her." Skypaw instructed, emphasizing Runepaw's name.

The two toms padded beside Fawnpaw, maybe to make sure she didn't try anything sneaky but... She just wanted to be anywhere but WaterfallClan right now.

Owlpaw POV

Owlpaw yawned and flicked his tail as he padded out of the Apprentices Den.

"Are you proud of yourself." Beepaw snarled, she must've been waiting for him.

"What did I do?" Owlpaw asked slowly.

"Hickorypelt just announced an emergency, there's a drought." Beepaw glared at him.

"Hickorypelt also said that we should be fine for now and that we shouldn't panic." Lilypaw padded over.

"That doesn't change the fact that Mr Cursed is causing more damage." Beepaw hissed, backing off.

Lilypaw sighed, sitting beside Owlpaw and curling her tail around him as Owlpaw put his head on his paws.

"Owlpaw! Lilypaw! I saw what happened!" Pebblepaw hurried over,"Was Beepaw bothering you again?"

Owlpaw nodded,"She thinks I've caused the drought."

"How can one cat cause a drought?" Pebblepaw tilted her head to the side.

"They can't." Lilypaw shook her head,"But she's convinced that he's cursed."

"My brother is not cursed." Pebblepaw sighed,"And I'll prove it to her... Somehow."
