Fawnpaw POV

Fawnpaw had joined Adderstrike, Luckyclaw and Skysplash on a patrol, just checking around the border for any rogues.

Luckily, they found no traces of a rogue on their territory but they did come across another patrol. A WaterfallClan patrol...

Odd... Fawnpaw knew that Owlpaw and Pebblepaw were in MountainClan. Why were they here on a WaterfallClan patrol?

"Adderstrike, we meet again." A light, grey, tabby, tom cat with amber eyes dipped his head.

"Icewhisker, the pleasure is mine." Adderstrike smiled.

Fawnpaw slowly backed up behind Skysplash at the sight of a disheveled, reddish brown, tom cat with blue eyes and messy fur. Alderpelt. He looked... Miserable...

"MountainClan sought refuge with us temporarily, here are their newest warriors. Pebblemist and Owlmoon." Icewhisker turned to them.

"Oh, Fawnpaw!" Owlmoon instantly recognized her,"I didn't know you were in CavernClan."

Alderpelt perked up immediately at the sound of her name,"Fawnpaw?"

"You know them?" Skypaw whispered.

Fawnpaw nodded and revealed herself, looking down.

"Fawnpaw! I thought you died, I-"

Alderpelt went to rush forward but Icewhisker stopped him from crossing the border,"Don't."

"W-what-"

"Fawnpaw has chosen to be a CavernClan cat." Icewhisker shook his head,"She isn't your apprentice anymore."

Fawnpaw watched as Alderpelt's happiness seemed to drain out of him, his momentary excitement gone. With that, he turned and ran off.

"Alderpelt!" Fawnpaw cried out after him, going to run but Adderstrike stopped her.

"Fawnpaw, both of you have made your choices, haven't you?" He asked.

"But Adderstrike-"

Adderstrike kept his frosty glare,"Go back to camp, Fawnpaw. That's an order from your mentor."

"But-"

"Go. Back."

Fawnpaw felt angry tears burning her eyes as she turned and bolted back to the CavernClan camp. She heard Skysplash call after her but she didn't dare answer... She was just so furious!

Fawnpaw didn't think she'd ever really been angry at all before but now? Oh... She felt anger bubbling inside of her, like she was going to explode!

She ran as fast as her little legs could take her until she arrived at camp. She ignored the questions and concerns of the CavernClan cats as she scurried into the Apprentices Den.

That's when she cracked and hot tears fell from her eyes, landing on the ground. This was all Rainpaw's fault! If he wasn't so- so- Horrible! She'd be with Alderpelt! And Doeleap! And Stagpounce!

"I swear on StarClan... One day... One day he will pay.." Fawnpaw dug her claws into the earth below her.

Foxpaw POV

Mousewhisper was leading her somewhere, she didn't know where and she didn't know what to expect.

"Here we are." Mousewhisper flicked her tail.

Foxpaw looked around and saw... Moonstone? Why would there be one of these on the rogue lands?

"Sit." Mousewhisper instructed.

Foxpaw nodded quietly and sat down and Mousewhisper spoke.

"I, Mousewhisper, Leader of no Clan , call upon my friends of the Dark Forest to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of a more noble code but still, I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Foxpaw, do you promise to abide by this new code and to protect and defend your new allies, even at the cost of your life?"

"Of course not!" Foxpaw got up tried to leave but the vines... The vines appeared once more and held her down.

"Ah, it seems like the Dark Forest has accepted you as one of their own. I shall now give you your warrior name. Foxpaw, from this moment forward, you will be known as Foxshadow. The Dark Forest honours your obedience  and we welcome you as a one of us."

The vines then released her and Foxshadow stood, not moving... How was she supposed to go to StarClan now and see her father?! They'd never want her now!

"Considering this was the first ceremony of it's kind, I'd say it went well." Mousewhisper padded over,"What about you... Foxshadow?"

Foxshadow shook her head and bolted, trying to get back home, back to LightClan.

"Oh, run and run as fast as you can, Foxpaw." Mousewhisper didn't move,"It's not the rogues you should worry about running from... It's the group of cats you've just joined."
