At 7:00 that evening, after finishing all my homework I went to Sunshines house.

I rang the bell and there she was,standing there in front of me. She looked better than i expected her to be.

"Hey", I said.

"Hi. Come in", she said, beckoning me inside.

I went in. Her house was pretty simple, but elegant.

"I just came to—
"Yeah i know. Mom told me you'd be coming. Come on lets go upstairs to my room".

We went up the stairs. There were two rooms. One of them had its door closed while the other ones door was slightly ajar. She opened it wide and we both went inside. Her room consisted of a huge bed in the center, facing a big TV in front of it and a dark blue color couch on the other side with the wall. The walls were painted sky blue. There was a simple, cute bookshelf on one side, filled with books.

"This is cool! I wish i also had such a huge TV in my room so i could lie down the whole day and watch movies on weekends", i said.
"Thanks", she said as sat down on the edge of her bed.
I sat beside her.

"Im really sorry about your friend, Marlene. I cant even imagine what youre feeling".

"Yeah thanks. She was the only friend i had, even though we werent that close. But she would come by sometimes and we would watch movies and play chess. Then a year ago, she got really sick. Then i was the one who would go by to her place and play chess with her, to make her feel better. She would smile at me. But i knew that it was just temporary. She fought a lot. Ray, she was a warrior and im nothing compared to her", she said as she looked at me at last, with tears in her eyes.

"Im so sorry. And please dont think low of yourself. Youre as much of a warrior as her", i said as i put an arm around her and hugged her tightly as she cried.

"Ok so as you dont go to school so what do you do all day?", I asked as we both sat on the wide window ledge in her room, our legs pulled up and our feet almost touching.

"I read books, watch movies and talk with mom and most importantly i sit here and spy on the whole neighbourhood", she said with a smile.

"You really got me that first night, do you know that?", i asked her with a knowing smile.

She nodded, smiling widely. "Gods! You looked
so freaked out", she said and we both laughed.

"So i know that this is the most incorrect question ever, but still wanna ask, whats youre favorite book?", I asked.

"OH MY GODS THERE ARE SO MANY!"

" Mutual feelings", I replied.

"What about you?", she asked.

" I love reading series because i mostly like the stories which are told of some other world and ofcourse a whole new different world cant be explained in a single book. So my favorite are The Maze Runner Series, The Divergent Series, The Hunger games series, Red Queen series, Percy Jackson series, The Darkest Mind series, Grisha Trilogy and so many more!".

"Ive read almost all of these except The Maze Runner", she replied.

"Gods you should! Youre gonna love it".

" Alright. I will. Alot of people have recommended it to me on social media so ill try",she said.

"Ok so whats the most relatable character to you?", she asked.

"Percy. Percy Jackson is the most relatable character on planet Earth", i replied.

"Youre so right. But i think Hazel Grace is the most relatable to me", she said.

"Hazel as in The Fault In Our Stars?", i asked.

"Yes! Youve read it?".

" Yeah i read it a couple of years ago. I dont remember the story much but it was really good".

" Yes it is. I love it so much!", she said smiling brightly.

She looked better. Her smile was geniune, not a made up one. I was glad that talking with me had made her feel better. I was so glad. I smiled.

" I just bought its DVD yesterday. I misplaced my old one somewhere during the shifting from New York", she said.

"Wow cool. I havent watched the movie yet", I said.

" Do you have to go somewhere tonight?", she asked.

"No. Im free". Im a good liar.

" Would you mind watching the movie with me", she asked me with such a sweet smile i could never say no in a thousand years.

I got up and threw my hands up in the air.

"Ofcourse. I'd love to!", I said.

While she looked for the DVD and turned the TV on, i studied her bookshelf. It was filled with all genres and almost all the books were those I've already read. I pushed the couch in front of the TV with its back at the bed.

" Here it is", she said as the movie started.

We both sat down on the couch comefortably and watched the movie. I had tried to check out the time but i had realized that I left my phone at home and i didnt want to ask her because she'll think that maybe i had to go somewhere.

As the story of the movie unfolded, i started remembering everything when I had read it.

The story was from the point of view of a girl named Hazel Grace who has lung cancer. She avoids social activities and then she meets a guy called Augustus Waters who's super hot and cool. He was a former cancer patient but he was fine now. He loves the girl. He even arranges a meeting of her with her favorite author and then their friendship turns into a relationship. Then Augustus declares that he has been diagnosed with cancer again and then his health starts going downhill. In the end he dies, leaving Hazel all alone.

As the credits rolled, i asked Sunshine," Whats the time?".

I was hoping it'd be just 9:30.

She checked her phone.

"10:30", she replied.

Damn.

My face must've shown what i was thinking because she asked,

"You were supposed to be somewhere?".

" Uh, yes".

"Oh im so sorry i should'nt have asked you for the movie. Its all my fault. Time flew so fast".

" No, its totally fine. Its okay if i wasnt able to go".

I got up.

" Mom will be wondering where i'm at so i should be going. Thanks for the movie and giving me an excuse to not go. Believe me, you saved my life today".

I winked at her and left the room.

I quickly made my way to my house. I had no idea what was gonna happen next.

What am i gonna do now?

I opened the front door of my house. Their was someone in the kitchen. I went in but it was just Rue. She was making something. She looked at me and i raised my eyebrows. She wasnt the kind of girl you would see in a kitchen.

"What are you doing?", I asked.

"Where the hell were you? I called you so many times and then i saw that you left your phone in the house. Where were you?", she asked in reply.

"I was.....with Tris", i lied.

She just looked at me.

"What are you making by the way? Where's mom and dad?", I asked her.

She sighed. " Dad got a call that grandma is really sick so they both had to go to her place in a hurry".

"What? For how long?", I asked.

"I dont know. Maybe a day or two", She replied.

" Is grandma okay?"

" She had a heart attack this evening", She replied sadly.

" Oh gods". Our grandma lives in Florence. Since grandpa's death four years ago she's been sick and my parents have to visit her often. We have begged her so many times to come and live here with us but she would never listen.

"Whats for food by the way?", I asked.

"What? Tris didnt feed you anything? Go and wash your hands while I lay the dinner on the table. Be grateful you're getting food so dont complain".

I murmured a 'yes boss' and went upstairs.
