"I want that thing destroyed!" The captain yelled angrily as he glared at them. Ligh glared darkly as he held a now unconscious Treble. Arium thought for a moment and stepped forward.

"Why not keep him and have him watch the troublesome girl?" He rumbled. The captain furrowed his brow and looked at him.

"What do you mean?" He asked as he glanced between them. The older and wise alien set a hand on the robots shoulder.

"As punishment for the both of them. The robot will watch her and she will constantly be under guard." He said seriously. The captain thought for a few minutes then nodded slowly.

"So be it." He smirked and walked away feeling triumphant. Arium watched him then looked at Ligh. The Galra stared at him blankly for a moment.

"Did... you just manipulate the captain?" He asked. The older alien nodded slowly and went back to work.

Ligh smiled a little as he held on to the girl. He stared at the forming bruise and narrowed his eyes. He looked at the robot who was watching the others. He didn't understand why they were killing his brothers.

"Keyshot." He said seriously and the machine looked at him. "You will protect Treble no matter what. Is that understood?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes. The robot stared at him for a moment then nodded slowly.

::Under... stood.:: he said just as seriously and stood in front of them protectively. Ligh watched him intently then stared at the girl. He sighed shakily and brushed some hair out of her face.

"I won't let him hurt you again... I won't let anyone hurt you." He promised and hugged her close. Arium wanted to say he couldn't promise that, but kept his mouth shut.

As the years passed Keyshot and Treble became fast friends. He kept her out of trouble and she defended him when necessary. Ligh downloaded certain information into the robot who then taught the girl. The young Galra spent as much time with her as possible, but still had to attend to his duties. Arium taught the girl how to do simple first aid. She also became a great help to the crew as she learned engineering. The captain would never admit it, but she had become quite useful.

During that time, the captain had made more of the robots that hunted Galra. He said it was merely for precaution when anyone asked about it. When they went to pillage a dead planet or another place they always took the robots.

There was one time the Galra returned and the robots killed them all. The captain smiled wickedly and looked at the crew. He claimed he had the power to kill Zarkon himself. The crew cheered with excitement as they supported him. Everyone except for Ligh. He just stared blankly knowing this would be their demise.

Treble was now seventeen years old and working hard. She did her best to stay out of trouble and do what they asked. She was currently sitting on the berth as Arium wrapped up her hand. She had cut it while doing repairs. Keyshot stared blankly at nothing in particular as he waited for her.

"I feel they make you take unnecessary risks." Arium rumbled as he looked at her. She was covered in soot and grease from being inside the engine.

"I was doing my job." She muttered and looked at him. He nodded slowly and glanced at Keyshot.

The robot tensed as he watched one of the other machines walk by. It stopped suddenly and they stared at each other intently. A few had tried to kill Ligh because of their coding, but Keyshot always took them down.

"Be on your way." Arium ordered as he glared at the other robot. It stared at him as if debating then walked off. Treble glared after it then looked at the medic.

"Those things scare me." She whispered quietly. "I fear they'll turn on us." She mumbled. Keyshot looked at her then after the other machine.

"Do not let them know you fear them." The medic said seriously. "They have... evolved in a strange way. They seem to sense fear and like to see it in others." He muttered and they fell silent.

::Am... I like them?:: Keyshot asked as he stared blankly at the hallway. The medic stopped and looked at him.

"No. You were made to protect innocent life and you haven't killed anything. They were created to do one thing, and that's to kill." He said seriously. "You are nothing like them." He rumbled. Keyshot stared at him with his bright blue eyes. He whirled quietly as he let his words sink in.

::Protect...:: he said quietly and looked out the door again.

Treble watched them both for a moment she suddenly heard yelling and they saw people running passed the doorway. They were yelling about something as they cocked their guns. A lot of them looked terrified.

"A - Arium?" Treble asked as she looked at him with fear. The medic slowly stood up and looked out to the hall. Keyshot watched intently, ready to fight if they came in.

"W-Whats happening?" She asked quietly and stood up shakily. The alien shook his head slowly as he glanced down the hall. He walked back to the girl then looked around the room.

Keyshot glanced at them and jumped when someone slammed their hands against the door frame. Ligh panted heavily as he stared at them eyes wide. He had been running to find them and only stopped when he got to the door. Treble ran over and hugged him tightly.

"What's going on?" Arium rumbled as he stood up. He had a small satchel now that he had filled.

"Galra." Ligh panted quietly and shook his head in irritation. "The captains gone too far this time. They've come to destroy us... we're a threat to them." He said seriously and hugged the girl tightly. "Zarkon himself is here with Haggar." He seethed angrily through gritted teeth. The others fell silent and looked at him in shock.

"I know you hate the idea..." Arium rumbled as he broke the silence. "But we have to run and abandon the space station." He said seriously. Ligh glared darkly and shook his head.

"I won't leave the others... that's a cowards way out of things." He muttered bitterly and stared at the floor.

"We either run... or let them take us prisoner." He growled lowly. "I would rather die then let them take us. Think about what they'll do to that young child." He said seriously and motioned to Treble. Ligh glanced at him then stared at the young girl. He nodded slowly in understanding and looked at him again.

"I'm... I'm sorry... I'm just so angry with the captain for what he's done." He muttered and his ears went down.

"We all are... but we can worry about that later when we are far away." Arium rumbled and set a hand on his shoulder.

Ligh nodded and gripped the girls hand then glanced out the hallway. Treble held on tightly then gripped the medics hand as well. The young Galra then took off running towards the escape pods. Keyshot followed close behind to protect them. They knew it would be a long difficult journey to get to the pods.

They could hear gun fire and screams as they got closer to the devastation. Ligh silently swore to get them out of there alive.
