Hunter clarington was sat at the bar of a dump of a bar in lima heights twirling the whiskey in his tumbler around wondering what the point was anymore.

After been found guilty of the steroid scandal he had been kicked out of dalton and had served community service. His father a military man was ashamed of him and had disowned him for shamig the family.

So here he was nineteen years old and his life was already crap he downed his drink and caught the barmans attention for another. Thank goodness for his fake id he thought as the alcohol was numbing him from the pain of it all.

He had managed to graduate high school but without his parents and what with the scandal he had no chance of getting into college.

Its friday night and he should be having the time of his life but he hates his life there is nothing good about it at all.

Then the door of the bar opens and he turns to glare at tye person who has entered as the weather is freezing and the opening of the door had chilled him.

When he saw who it was he did a double take why was rachel berry alone in a dump of a bar in the worst part of town. She was pulling a large suitcase behind her he wondered at first if she was simply lost.

He watched her walk towards the bar she hadnt noticed him the bartender walked over to her and was blatantly checking her out. Hunter felt protective rachel was a good girl and given she was alone and the barman eyeing her up he felt he should look out for her.

"Hey rachel" he said rachel who had been looking uncomfortable thanks to the lerring barman looked at him she looked beyond surprised  to see him.

"Hunter" she said

"you remember me then" he said downing his drink.

"Of course " she said walking over to him and sitting on the stool next to him.

"Another whiskey and whatever rachel here wants" hunter said to the barman who looked annoyed thst rachel was sat with him.

" vodka lemonade " rachel said.

"So what brings you here" hunter asked

" i need liquid courage "she said

" i see... dumping someone" he said

"No im going home to see my dads " she said

" dont you get along with them" he asked

" i get along with them fine its just im sure your aware of my fall from grace" rachel said

"Yeah i heard about it" hunter said he chuckled recalling thats so rachel until she frowned at him.

" well i went into hiding afterwards its the first time i have come to see them since everything went wrong... thats enough about me what about you whats hunter clarington doing these days" she asked.

" well as you know your not the only one to fall from grace im here because i dont know where else to go my parents disowned me for shaming the family. " hunter said.

"Thats horrible " rachel said.

" i never liked them anyway " hunter said bitterly.

" wow" rachel said

" im sure your dads will be happy to see you" hunter said worried his revelation might have worried her.

" its not that that is bothering me its that they will start planning my life and i dont want that. while i ĺove broadway and new york i think i spent so long dreaming about that been my life that my life was all about making that happen. I guess what  im trying to say is i want to live alittle get to know myself figure out what i want out of life its silly i know " rachel said.

" its not silly at all i think you do right rachel no matter what anybody says or who they are its your life to live the way you want" hunter said.

" what about you what do you want out of life" she asked.

" too earn enough money for college get a degree and be able to turn up at my parents and say i didnt fucking need you anyway" hunter said she laughed at the last part.

" so your working" she asked

" yeah i work at a gym i spend my day moving equipment around thats why i want to go to college i want to be a personal trainer" he said

" well like my dads always say havig a plan means your half way there" rachel said.

" how long are you back in lima for" he asked

" not sure yet i while i think i need to think alot of things over" rachel said he nodded.

" want another drink" he asked

" i will get these" she said

" no i might of lost my family but i havent lost my breeding" he said

" no i insist anyway the money can go towards telling your parents  to fuck off " she said

" hold on did my ears deceive me or did rachel berry just swear" he said looking at her amused and impressed.

" i lived with kurt for over a year i learned to curse even it was usually under my breath" she said

" that would make anybody swear" he said

" he isnt that bad he is just too much at times" rachel said

" i used to share a dorm with Sebastian he aint easy to live with either" hunter said

" no i cant image he would be" rachel said

" then again he says the same about me" hunter said

" two bad boys in one room bet it was interesting " she said.

" yeah it was " hunter said laughing t the pranks the used to play on each other.

The barman poured them their next drinks and rachel paid and the barman muttered as he walked away.

"Creep" hunter said

"He really is" Rachel said

"Anyway lets toast to you reuniting with your dads" hunter said picking up his glass.

"And to you eventually pissing off your parents " rachel said clinking her glass with his.

" closing in ten minutes" the barman called.

" so you gonna  getting a taxi" hunter asked

" un yeah best do at this time of night" rachel said he noticed she was fidgeting in her seat.

"Its a little late your dads will probably be in bed by now i live two blocks from here your welcome to stay tonight" he said she looked at him surprised.

" i will sleep on the couch but think about it sleep well and then go see thdm tomorrow " hunter said.

"Yeah that sounds like a better idea and thank you" she said.

" no worries" he said as they both finished their drinks and got up from their stools.
