My mom smiles as she sits me down in a pew, "I don't think it's the best idea to go back to Roxbury right now because, there's so much going on in your life right now and there's so much drama and issues back there. So I sold our house and bought a house in Tulsa."

"Oh my god mom!" I squeal as I hug her. "You're the best mom ever!"

She smirks, "I know Lace and your brother, Two is welcomed to come whenever he wants to and your little friends too. This is a new start for the both of us."

I bite my lip as I look away from her, "mom, we can have a new life."

"Ma! Somebody is at the door and I'm organizing my room!" I scream down to her.

I hear the door open followed by a familiar voice, "hey, we live next door an-"

I run downstairs cutting him off, "oh my god Sodapop!"

"Lacey?" He asks in utter disbelief.

"We're neighbors!" I run into his arms.

"We can be together," he whispers as he picks me up and spins me around.

"Uh Lace, who's this?" My mom asks.

I turn to look at Soda and cock my head to the side waiting for him to answer, it takes him a few minutes, but he finally speaks, "I'm her boyfriend and we're in love."

I smile as he wraps his arm around my waist and I lean into him with us both smiling, "mom meet Sodapop. Sodapop meet my mom."

"Well my older brother Darry was wondering if ya'll would like to come over for dinner?" Soda offers as he looks back at his house.

I nod my head enthusiastically, "we'd love to! We'll come by at fourish dinner at sixish?"

My mom gives me the look, "Lacey, don't be rude!"

"Come whenever," he smirks.

"I'll come over whenever I want whatever time I want whatever day I want," I smirk as I peck his cheek before he leaves.

My mom turns to look at me, "Lacey, that was so rude!"

I scoff, "it's open invite at the Curtis house for all they care I can be there when they're not even there or walk into the house at 2:30 a.m. and sleep on their couch without them knowing. I've done it before. I just walk in whenever. I'll probably wear sweats and a tee to dinner tonight. I'm actually gonna head over there right now."

"Lacey," my mom sighs.

"Oh yeah and don't bother knocking later," I smirk. "I never do."

I walk next door and smile, "hello I am officially the Curtis brother's neighbor."

Jilly smiles as she runs over to me hugging me, "you're not leaving."

I shake my head as Spencer joins the hug, "I live right next door."

As we pull apart Two walks over to me, "I would of missed ya sis."

I roll my eyes, "I love ya Two."

Virginia walks into the house and looks at me her smiles fades, but she quickly plasters a fake one on, "oh my god! Lacey? I thought you were going back to Roxbury! I am so happy you're still here. Why are you here?"

"My mom moved in next door," I say happily as I look at my boyfriend. 

"Virginia we need to talk," Soda sighs as he scratches the back of his head nervously.

"Soda hun," she says in her fake peppy voice I hate. "What's wrong? You're scarring me."

Soda's P.O.V.

I bring Virginia upstairs and sigh, "Virginia, we've been together for like two and a half almost three months."

She smiles as she pecks my lips whispering, "the best months of my life baby."

I shake my head, "you're a liar Virginia and a fake.I know you hate Lacey and I know you guys have a feud-"

"Whatever she told you is a lie!" Virginia cuts me off.

"I love her," I admit. "When I met you, she was gone and I was too blind to see that I didn't love you or even like you. When she came back I was in love again with her, but I couldn't just break up with you for her because, I convinced myself we could work. Although if I don't love you, I don't love you and that will never change."

"What did she do?" Virginia asks. "She's the liar and the fake not me! You don't know what you're doing or saying! You sound crazy!"

"Virginia it's over," I say seriously then break out into a large smile chuckling happily to myself. "I'm sorry, but that feels so nice to say. We're over Virginia and I'm back with Lacey. That is awesome to say."

She stomps out of my room, "I hate you! I hate her! I hate Tulsa! I hate stupid greasers! I hate this house!"

Lacey's P.O.V.

"Is the poor baby sad?" I chuckle as she storms out the door.

"Fuck you!" She turns around. "I am so tired of being nice to you! I hate you Lacey! You say all these grown up things, but you're just a stupid child! Have fun being nothing, but an addict and a looser because, that's all you are! A stupid druggie and alcoholic! Fuck you!"

I roll my eyes, "well you're a bitch and a fake so what you have to say doesn't phase me. Later looser!"

The whole gang laughs as Steve smiles, "we're happy to have you back."

"I'm happy to be back," I smile as I sit on Soda's lap watching Mickey with the gang everybody laughing and joking around. 

We're just a friend group of lost broken teens who have nobody who loves them and a broken family. We're the people that everybody seems to forget about because nobody thinks we matter. We all lean on each other as we try to stay strong and face the world and as long as we have each other we can. 

Although in this moment everything is so perfect. I'm sitting on Soda's lap. Jilly is next to Steve and Spencer is holding Dally's hand. Two is on the floor drinking beer laughing and making jokes. Johnny and Pony are whispering and laughing as Darry reads the paper laughing at the gang. I wish time would freeze right now and we could live in this moment forever.

Wouldn't this be the perfect ending? Yeah, but I mean we still have some chapters left. Although the rest of the chapters will go fast because, the book is almost over! Okay guys so i was planning on this being up by three, but my brother kind of stole my laptop and wouldn't give it back no matter what! Stay gold. Do it for Johnny!
