❤️90❤️ - Breaking Apart

There was a long silence after the question was thrown. Sona grew nervous and she sneaked a little to her side. She saw Arjun nudging Dev in his side. Everyone in the hall started to become noisier while the marriage officials looked at Dev with a serious expression.

Finally, when Dev decided to speak......... the entire hall became silent. And this time with his answer, Dev managed to achieve the impossible.

He broke Sonakshi......completely.

"No."

--------------------------

There was absolute stillness. No one said anything... Everything appeared like a haze and Sona's eyes clouded with tears. Her ears heard nothing and the image of the scene infront of her slowly faded away. She could only see a blur image of Arjun screaming at Dev and the relatives getting into an argument.

Dev walked away from the hall, leaving everyone devastated. The officers shook their heads in disappointment and left the venue too. But Sonakshi didn't move. She just stood numb at the same place without even moving an inch. All her dreams and hopes had crumbled down infront of her eyes and yet, she couldn't believe them.

She felt betrayed, cheated and crushed.

She sat down on the nearest chair and looked at the empty wall behind. Her mind blacked out. She couldn't even think anything after that. The sharpness in Dev's words had torn her apart. She felt so humiliated and embarrassed. Nothing she said or did could have explained her state of mind then and there. So many people were talking to her, tapping her and shaking her, but she couldn't seem to pull herself out from the trauma.

"Sona!!! Sona look at me.... Listen Sonakshi!" Arjun shook her out of the daze. But all in vain. She wasn't even blinking.

"Sonakshi, that dumb guy!" Arjun pulled his hair in frustration. "I had no idea he would do this... I am so sorry Sonakshi. God.... Please say something Sona. Don't just sit down like this!" Arjun called her desperately.

Sona robotically moved her eyes towards him and stared straight like all the emotions had been drained out. Her dead eyes reflected the charcoal clouds above in the sky, their dark beauty lost in the chaos of the day.

"Sona... take some water please..." Tara came to her sides and rubbed Sonakshi's shoulders. But Sonakshi had no reaction.

"That useless guy! How dare he do that? Don't worry Sona, we will talk to him and knock some senses in his brain. You get up now and let's give him a good slap to bring him back to his senses." Tara muttered while Sona kept watching the stage with no emotions.

People who were seated in the hall slowly started to disperse. Their loud murmuring were crystal clear to her ears.

'Had expected this kind of reaction from Dev after his brother's death. Wonder what else she did to hurt him?'

'The slap she gave Tarun, damn..... it was good that Dev rejected her. She deserved it.'

'Wasted my time here. Should have known that this wasn't going to happen!'

Sona felt like she couldn't even cry. Her tears had dried up and heart felt empty. Why should she cry? She didn't feel like anything bad could happen after this. His rejection still echoed loudly in her ears.

NO

How easily he had said no? Why make fun of her feelings when they didn't even mean anything to him? He had gotten his revenge in the best way possible. Sonakshi couldn't tolerate the hurt that spread through her body like a wildfire. Every inch was causing pain, making her revolve back to where she came from.

She came from a background where people always made fun of her. But she was never so hurt like this.... This hurt was purely because of Dev. Only him. He had the power to give her the world's happiness and also to crush her to death.... He had complete control over her heart, and this time she regretted it.

Regretted handing her heart over to him.

------------------------------

Dev stared right at the dim sky, contemplating over his haunting decision. Did he do it right?

The answer was staring at him right at his face. Of course, he did wrong! His conscience tortured him and the righteous part of him felt ashamed of his own acts. Leaving an innocent girl devastated in the wedding hall was the cheapest thing a guy could ever do. But yet, he did it. No matter how much he tried, he just couldn't proceed with the ceremony with the weight on his chest. He didn't feel at ease and most importantly, he didn't feel that it was right to marry Sona in such a situation.

He desperately needed space. He still hadn't overcome the grief of his brother's death. Sonakshi's actions had planted a deep seed of sadness in his heart and he couldn't brush that away in a day. Moreover, to add on to it, his mother was in a critical condition. Before even he could get up from the continuous blows, his marriage was being conducted. He just couldn't bear it..... he needed time to think and time to clear his head.

Bringing disgrace to Sonakshi wasn't his intention, but at the moment.... He just couldn't agree with the marriage vows. Whatever the priest said, he mentally objected it..... He didn't know whether his life could be as happy as it used to be in the past. Now everything between them had changed. Their relationship fell apart and there was huge distance created.

He wished he could amend the gap.... A few days ago, if anyone told him to cancel the wedding, he would have killed them. But now, he himself did that! It really pained him emotionally to have chosen this decision, but he knew that for now, this was the best..... for both of them.

He cancelled the wedding because he didn't want to hurt her further. He didn't want to give her fake hopes.... He didn't want to make her dream of roses when the reality would be filled with thorns.

He loved Sonakshi too much to even think about separation. But now..... He couldn't believe that, he was considering that as an option. Removing Sona from his heart is like removing the skin from his body. He would become nothing without her. Although he hated to admit it, he knew that he had become too dependent on Sonakshi for his happiness. He always turned towards her when he seeked for joy.

She was his sunshine.... But now, even her name brought a bitterness to his tongue.

Tarun was his blood. Regardless of what he did, he was still a part of Dev. Dev believed that he could change Tarun with his ways. When he was born, Dev's happiness was born with him. He brought in colours to his Dev's life. Everytime Dev used to see his brother, a side of innocence and purity had grown within him.

But when Tarun died, he brought back everything that he had ever given Dev. He brought back the colours he used to give. By dying infront of Dev, he had snatched all the compassion that grew with Dev over the time. Now Dev was only left with pain and numbness.

No feelings, no compassion and no love...

His head spun and he stumbled behind to find a seat to sit down. It felt like a nightmare. A dream which he wanted to wake up as fast as possible. But before he could dwell further, his room door swung open.

He turned behind and internally froze to see Sonakshi in a blazing state. Her make-up smudged, wedding dress distorted, and hair messed up drastically. Surprisingly, there was no one following behind her. Her eyes were red, and face had become swollen due to her hysterical cries. The more Sonakshi walked towards him, the more his heart thudded in agony.

"So... what's all that?" she spat, in a dry tone. Anger, disappointment and hurt evident through her voice as she threw daggers at him through her fire-splitting eyes.

"I...... couldn't do this. I am s-sorry" Dev choked and finally managed to say those words. It was hard and damn, it hurt like hell... but he couldn't deny the fact. He wanted the truth had to be conveyed to her in the nicest way possible.

"Couldn't do this? COULDN'T DO THIS?" Sona screamed as she took a vase nearby and threw it on the floor. Dev stood there unmoved, somewhat expecting this behaviour from her.

"I am sorry Sona... I just-"

"Sorry? That's all you have? Save it Dev!.... I have no idea why you did what, but this bloody time.... YOU DID IT WRONG! You were wrong. There's no justification you can give to what you did today. I agree that you were grieving over your brother's loss. But what was my fault in all these? I didn't do anything at all....... YOU assumed that I did something, didn't you? But you know what? Like a fool.... I believed you. But again, you let me down Dev. You abandoned me when I needed you the most. You failed as a husband and most importantly, you failed as a family man! Your mother would be so ashamed of you Mr Dev Sharma!" she shouted making Dev's nerves spring into action.

"I don't assume things Sonakshi.... You may not have been in the wrong. Knowingly or unknowingly, the fact is...........you were the reason behind my brother's death. He didn't have any other reason to suddenly die like that! How will our marriage survive if our hearts are not at peace. The first time we got married, I did everything in a haste.................. But today, I won't commit the same mistake again. This marriage wouldn't happen when our hearts are at conflict." Dev spoke and Sona's eyes turned darker. The fire in her burned higher and the fury was emerging like a wildfire inside the room.

"Oh really?" her words were sarcastic. Dev heaved a heavy breath as he watched Sona shaking her head in dismay.

"Wow... just wow Dev. Did I beg you to marry me the first time? The first time you did, it was forceful and the second time.... It wasn't my choice either. You held all the choices to yourself... Be it agreeing or rejecting!" she screamed.

"If I had married you infront of the crowd for publicity purposes, it would have been the most stupidest mistake of mine Sona. It isn't right..... we wouldn't be happy like before. I am not happy! This marriage shouldn't happen like this...... I need...." Dev's voice chocked as Sona glared at him intensely.

"You need what?"

"I need.....space." he said with a long pause and Sonakshi scoffed. She expected it the minute he walked away from the hall. She was only waiting to hear it from his mouth.

"Good...." She bit her lips hard and controlled her tears from spilling down. "I guess you just wanted to get rid of me publicly. So that everyone knows that I have been dumped........... Thank you Dev. Thank you so much...... everyone will now look me like a murderer and a rejected-pathetic woman. You made the whole world know now.... You could have done it privately...but nope. You had to reject me like that and humiliate me, didn't you?" she laughed sarcastically while Dev's eyes teared.

Dev clenched his eyes and stood still. The hurt in her voice broke him severely. He had no replies to her questions. Everything she said made sense, but he didn't have any choice. He found no joy in the marriage that was conducted in the hall. All his family members were gone and Sonakshi being the reason behind the problems, caused so much of pain that he couldn't even proceed it for the world's sake.

"Sonak-"

"You betrayed me Dev.... Trust me. This hurts more than the time you handed me over to Ricky. You humiliated me infront of a million people today. You stripped me off my happiness, pride and self-respect. Trust me, I don't regret slapping your brother even today, because what he did was WRONG!"

"You are crossing the limits Sona..." he breathed heavily.

"YOU CROSSED YOUR LIMITS. You did it, Dev... accept it! What you had done today was irreversible. It was something huge... worse than what anyone else had done to me."

"Well, what would you have done if I had killed your mother right infront of you?" he screamed back and Sonakshi stood stunned.

"I killed....what? You bloody... How dare you say something like that?" she gasped, still unable to process his words.

"Yes, you killed my brother! It feels exactly the same. The brother whom I loved unconditionally. I tried my best to speak to both of you! When I couldn't control the situation, I told you guys to stay away from each other. When things escalated, I pleaded with you. But what happened? WHAT HAPPENED?" he screamed and Sonakshi flinched at his harsh tone.

"I killed him? He killed himself. Are you out of your mind? Has your brother's death made you blind towards the misdeeds he did? How many times did I tell you? You were not even willing to hear me. You are such a spineless man!" she spat in disgust.

Dev's heart constricted in his chest as he found it hard to even face her with a straight face. Without waiting for him to speak, Sona stormed towards Dev and took his hands in hers.

"Would you keep quiet if someone touches your wife here" she said placing his palms on her chest. Dev's eyes widened and he immediately withdrew his hands in dread. His eyes looked at her raging ones. There was no lies or secrets hidden in them. They were crystal clear like her heart. She was extremely mad, and this side was something he had never seen from her.

"I..... Sona... you co-"

"You have no words, do you? This is the worst thing you have ever done Dev! You made a mockery out of me. This wedding dress and all..." she threw her shawl at his face and held his collar accusingly.

"It wasn't my intention to make anything a mockery........... It was my decision of cancelling this wedding off. I want some time off from everything. This house, this room.... Us.... Just some time alone. Why don't you understand that all these was too much for me?" he asked painfully, pulling her hands back away from his collars.

"It should have been my decision too. You don't get to make decisions alone like that! A wedding happens two way round. For gods sake, I am not a puppet to be thrown around and accept every damn thing you say. Getting married when you feel like and rejecting whenever you feel like.......is not a normal thing! I am a human being and I have a damn heart!" she sobbed holding on to his shirt.

"That's not what I intended....."

"SHUT UP! I don't want to hear anything you say. Go to hell for all I care..... I need my self-confidence back. You need freaking space, right? Fine... I will give you the space you need. In return, give me back my pride which you have stripped off me today. Give me back my heart which I had given you blindly.... Give me back my love which I showed you unconditionally!!!!!" her eyes dripped with tears as she kept mumbling incoherent words to him. She placed her hands on the wall beside and felt it trembling along with her body.

She felt so powerless.

Arjun and Tara walked up to their room and stood at the door, stunned. Dev was standing there like a statue with Sonakshi wailing at him. Things seemed to escalate bigger than what Arjun had expected. Walking inside, Arjun touched Sona's shoulders gently.

But instead of her usual response, she sneered like an enraged panther.

"Don't touch me! Don't...." She cowered away and looked at Arjun angrily. "Tell your friend that he's lost me Arjun! Lost me forever! He said that he needs space from me. Can you believe it? He wants a separation in our relationship. He's chasing me out...." She cried with her palms covering her face.

Arjun's eyes widened and Dev looked at her with horror.

"I didn't chase you anywhere!" Dev gasped in horror. His dark lashes brimmed heavy with tears while his hands clenched into shaking fists, in a desperate battle against the grief.

"Well needing a space is equivalent to chasing me from your heart Dev. I don't want to live as your mistress for this world. I wanted to live with dignity infront of those who spoke nasty things behind me. I wanted to be named as your lawfully wedded wife! Not some time-pass! I wanted assurance.... But again, you proved to others that I was just a toy for you. Someone whom you could break anytime you wish." She wiped her tears angrily and stood up.

"Look, I know that this is the worst time we can argue about things. But the truth is awful Sonakshi...... You hurt me. But my intention wasn't to hurt you back. I just wanted to be alone and this marriage, didn't feel right. I don't care if it's going to cause me millions pounds loss or not! I only go with the decision that gives me peace. And right now......................... Staying with you, doesn't give me peace." He said in the most painful tone.

His words felt like a tight slap across her face. Her heart shuddered and lips wobbled. The guy who said that he couldn't even detach himself from her a minute, was now pushing her away. Where's her self-respect? All her life, she had lived without respect, but Dev was the only one whom constantly assured that she deserved something better.

But now, his actions were contradicting his words. There was no love for her in his heart. He had turned into a heartless monster.

His words cut sharply in her heart as she stood there firmly, staring at his brown orbs without a blink. Tara walked forward to help Sona, but Arjun held her back and signalled that they shouldn't interfere in the couple's problem. He knew that the shit they were talking was something intense. Dev was acting like a fool and Sonakshi was just too emotionally broken. Both of them weren't in their senses.

"Sonakshi.... Please let it go. Go down to the room while I talk to this duffer! Please don't-"

"I don't want to talk to him anymore." She spoke abruptly, still looking at Dev. Dev's eyes showed no reaction. He was just pale and speechless.

Everyone sensed something big. Sonakshi's voice felt like she had given up on everything in her life. She wasn't crying anymore. Her eyes which displayed anger and hurt was now showing nothing.

She was done fighting.

Clicking her heels behind, she turned around and glared at Arjun.

"Move..." she spoke while Arjun gazed at her with pity. He wanted to console her and tell her to be strong, but she seemed too broken to understand anything.

"Sona, listen to me. I will-"

"I said move." Her voice was even stronger than the first time. Tara gazed at them in bewilderment. Sona looked too scary to be approached at the moment.

Without waiting for anybody's reaction, Sona dashed out of the room in rage. Dev watched her leave quietly. A lone tear traced down his cheek, and his heart wracked against his chest. The last painful emotion slammed against him as he felt all the energy leaving his body like a spirit being expelled.

He refused to look away, even as his lips trembled and his shoulders heaved with emotion, he couldn't take his eyes away from the door when she walked away. He needed to console her....but not now. He had no strength. He was weak and vulnerable. Even weaker than Sonakshi....

He wept the tears that streamed from his light brown eyes and looked at Arjun. The look in Arjun's eyes spoke everything Dev needed to know. He was disappointed.

"You shouldn't have done that Dev..." Arjun voiced out in a vulnerable tone.

Arjun was fed up too. He didn't have the energy to keep up with the drama and heartaches. He had lost a brother too. The pain was killing him as much as it was killing Dev. But the way Dev dealt with it was different.

It was unfair to Sona.

"I had no choice-"

"You had a fucking choice! All you had to do was get married and let the ceremony happen. You could have waited patiently at least for a day! Why the fuck did you ruin everything?" Arjun kneeled down and massaged his temples.

"Maa-"

"Maa would be broken if she knows what happened Dev." Arjun shook his head negatively.

"I can explain to maa..... she would understand." Dev closed his eyes in pain.

"Huh? What explanation are you talking about? Didn't you think about her when you said no? Don't you remember what she'd said last night? She wanted the marriage to happen so badly....... Even before yesterday, when the priest decided that your marriage wouldn't happen, she was so dejected. She asked me a single promise and today, I broke it. YOU made me break it." Arjun pointed his finger at Dev angrily.

"Doesn't anyone care about my feelings?"

"Why don't you think about Sonakshi's feelings? I mean.... come on, you are the only one she has down here. We've lost Tarun, but it's not fair to put all the blame on one person. Tarun is a person with brains and he did that to himself. He took his life with his own will! Why can't you come to terms with that?" Arjun's voice shook as he spoke to Dev.

"I can't Arjun. I know that it wasn't Sonakshi's fault fully. But she's part of it..... We all are part of it. I never understood him and she.................. she hurt him. I even took the CCTVs from the house and checked it. But due to the crowd, nothing could be seen. Tarun was talking to Sona during the haldi and his back was fully blocking Sona in the footage. I couldn't see what happened next. But the slap......it was so clear.........."

"Talking about the past doesn't change anything Dev."

"The past............. Doesn't fade with time, Arjun...."

----------------------------

Its been three hours since anyone spoke to Dev. Everyone was locked up in their own room while Arjun and Tara sat in the hall and cleared the mess. Tara helped Arjun arrange the list of the visitors and handle the chaos due to the sudden cancellation of the wedding. She wanted to talk to Sonakshi, but the door didn't open ever since Sona locked herself up.

As time passed, Tara got nervous and she pestered Arjun to check on Sona too.

"I am scared Arjun.... I am so worried for her. She must be so sad." Tara gulped and looked at Arjun's depressed face.

"Don't you think I already know that? I mean..... there's nothing we can do to help them Tara. They will heal soon. They had big fights before too.....and everytime, they somehow solve it between themselves. It's all about time." Arjun spoke hopefully.

"But Arjun, what Dev did today was wrong. He made her so embarrassed..... No girl deserves that kind of punishment.... That too, in public. You should really talk to Dev and make him apologise to Sona before things get worse." She spoke worriedly.

Just as she was speaking, Tara's dad called her.

"Hello....Yea dad? Huh? What?" Tara spoke as she slowly got up and walked a few meters away from Arjun.

"Tara, don't you think you should stay away from the family right now? I mean.... They are already having a huge drama down there. I am really sick of such things right now. Before I come there and create a scene, its better if you could come back." Arvind said sternly.

"Dad.... What are you speaking? If I was in Sonakshi's position, would you say the same thing? She's my friend and she's broken. She needs me right now. I will have to stay with her......... please don't force me. I will come home before it turns dark. Please....." she argued softly.

On the other hand, Arjun stared at Dev walking down the stairs with his jacket and hoody on. He looked like he was going to take a long drive. He used to do that when he was stressed but now, it seemed like Arjun needed the drive more than Dev.

"Dev stop. Where are you going?" Arjun stopped him.

"Just....out to get some fresh air." Dev spoke with his back facing Arjun.

"I think you should speak to Sonakshi. She's not coming out from her room for a long time........" Arjun warned, and Dev's feet froze.

His thoughts wandered in different direction and muscles sprung into action. Cold sweat broke through his forehead and he instantly rushed back to the room that Sona had stayed. Flashbacks of Tarun's suicide haunted him. If Sonakshi had taken any similar decision like that, then he would never be able to forgive himself for that.

He couldn't even bear to think of that possibility. His heart thumped harder as he knocked on her door. Tara looked back and immediately placed her phone down. Following the guys, she moved towards the door.

"Sona... Sonakshi, please come out. Open the door...." Dev screamed but there was no answer. As time passed, everyone started getting nervous.

Tara asked Dev to move aside and she tried knocking the door too. Unfortunately, all they got was pure silence. Arjun suggested that the only way to open the door was to break it or call for the locksmith. Dev wasn't ready to wait for a locksmith, so he decided to proceed with the latter.

Before he could do any damage to the door, a soft voice came from the room.

"Leave....me alone." Her strangled voice came out as a desperate plea.

She didn't open the door nor, face anyone there. Tara exhaled a sigh of relief. At least Sona didn't harm herself.

But Dev wasn't at peace. He wasn't ready to leave the place without seeing Sona.

"Ask her to come out..." he whispered to Arjun. Arjun gulped and slowly nodded.

"S-Sona?? Can you step out for a minute please?" Arjun's shaky voice gave away his internal terror. But her response, shook him drastically.

"I am not ready to face anyone now. Not Dev, especially!" her voice came out stronger than the first time. Dev exhaled and shook his head in frustration.

"Looks like she's more than fine! She will come out when she wants... There's no need to panic!" Dev spat furiously and walked away.

When he waked out to the door, there was a bigger problem waiting for him. His anger level was slowly reaching the breaking point as he faced the flashing lights outside. His face was already turning red, displaying his anger.

"SECURITY! Clear the media away! Right now!" he shouted as the security trembled in fear.

Hastily getting inside his car, he drove past the huge crowd of media professions who were buzzing outside his house like the flocking bees and left for a long drive. He needed some fresh air. There was so much in his mind to clear.

He felt like five different people were speaking inside his brain. One filled with negativity, another with anger, one with guilt, one with grieve and the last person was holding everyone strong. None of the reactions were doing any good for him. He felt sad. He wanted to cry out loud. At the end of the day, there was only one thing he realised.

He deserved no good things in life.

Driving the car into a quiet lane, he came to the place he dreaded the most. The place where his life started. The place where his hardships began and sorrows dissolved....

His first café.

A small garden was built behind it in the remembrance of his father. He walked over there and sat there, staring at the dark sky. Nothing changed. He was still the same, the café was still the same..... The roses had grown... the sky had become darker and his burdens had increased over time.

He still remembered the last time he came there to speak to his father. He had always wished that his family will multiply over the years and grow into a big family tree.

However, his wish remained as a dream. This time he had lost not just one, but two people who were closed to him in life.

His sank to his knees, not caring about the mud that dirtied his pants. His tears burst forth like water from the waterfall. The dry racking sobs took out the life in him.... The minute his cries started, his heart burst open and the pain came in waves. It was so painful that Dev himself didn't know when it was going to end.

Dev had always been so self-conscious when he teared-up, but now he just gave way to the ferocity of his grief. He sobbed into his hands, making the tears dripped between his fingers, down his long arms. His eyes burnt and heart struggled for oxygen as if he was breathing underwater. All he knew was that, he was losing everyone in life... Tarun was gone. He looked up and stretched his hands to reach up the sky.... His brother was gone. Forever.

"T-Tarun..... Dad........" he sobbed.

He kept crying....

Crying till he became numb. Crying till he was used to the pain. Crying till his body could no longer produce tears.

Crying till he saw dawn.

-------------------------------

The sun was shining brightly.

Dev walked inside his house in his disorientated state. He was tired and drained that he didn't even notice the chaotic situation in his house. All the servants and workers were crowded in the hall. Arjun was screaming and Elena was there too. Dev furrowed his brows and walked to the middle of the hall.

There his eyes widened when he saw his father's dairy placed in the table there. How did it get there?

"Dev, where the fuck were you? Didn't you check your phone?" Arjun yelled, and Dev frowned at him.

"What? I didn't take my phone with me.... What happened?"

"Damn........ Did you see Sona anywhere?" Arjun's tone grew tensed as Dev's eyes furrowed in confusion.

"Sona?.... Why? Isn't she at home?"

"What the hell? Your wife is not at home for the past five hours....and you are so cool about it?" Elena barged in, but seeing Dev's scary demeanour, she slowly backed away.

Dev felt a strong pain on the left side of his head. He was turning dizzy with too much of information. He felt his heartbeat drumming on his ears. The fact that Sona was missing, took a few seconds for him to process.

"Search everywhere around...... She must be at the shops nearby." Dev spoke, trying to sound positive. But in reality, he was panicking from inside.

"The hell, of course NOT! I have tried every single thing Dev.... It was only a gap of three hours, where I had gone to send Tara home. When I came back, her room door was wide open. I checked every other room and searched all around our neighbourhood. Where could she disappear? That too at late night? I am fucking scared..... Dev.... She left her phone here too. I called Tara. But even she has no clue about all this."

Dev visibly gulped and ran to his room. The moment he stepped in, he noticed something change...

Sona's passports, certificates and visa documents were all gone. She had taken every important identification documents along her. Her clothes and other things were left back. He shook his head in denial...

"No.... No, it can't be...." His mind refused to believe that she had run away. She couldn't have...

Running down to the hall, Dev stopped as his eyes landed on his father's diary again. The diary made everything more suspicious. It was a book that he always kept hidden. That diary sitting in the middle of the hall was really odd. Reaching out to the diary, he took it and flipped through all the pages....... Till he spotted the last note.

The space you needed, will be my journey ahead
We were born alone. So, it's only fair that we live alone,
before we die.... Alone.

The moment you left, I realised something....

Promises are just words.
Some old wounds, never really heal.
They bleed again at the slightest word.
And when they are refreshed,
The pain comes back with a fatal blow

There will be many unsaid words between us from now.
But just remember one thing.

Not all sorry deserves an 'it's okay'

Those words stripped something off him.

Dev's breathing hitched as his knees grew weak and he slumped to the cold tiles on the floor.

She really left...

The reality broke his soul. His wife.... The one whom he loved unconditionally, left him. His eyes teared and throat clogged... Her last words written after that, just took away the rest of his life from him.

There was once a guy, who told me that
'My Sona is not capable of hurting anyone.'
