"I am a local...." He said and that's when I noticed his lips lifting upwards and his dimple on his left crinkling. I didn't know why I asked that, but it just made me feel stupid. I should have just kept my mouth shut.....You are such an idiot Sona!

But the next thing he said just made my heart skip a beat......literally!

"So why were you stuck in the rain alone......at this time Miss Sonakshi?"

Sona's POV

Shock was an understatement to explain the state I was at that moment. How did he know my name? I was dumfounded at his question. I didn't know whether I should tell him the truth or give a lame explanation. But why should I answer him? He was just a random stranger to me.

It just felt extremely creepy for an outsider to know my name. Should I ask him how he knew? But wait.....he was coming out from that hotel carpark right? Did that mean, he saw me there? But there were only a few couples seated inside when I left.... Oh no. If he saw me there, then he should have seen the waiter arguing with me too... And yes... how loudly the waiter publicized my name! Such a heartless man!

"Did you see me at that restaurant?" I blurted out as I felt his eyes on me. However, I didn't have the courage to look at his eyes so I just kept staring at my fingers which were rested on my lap....

"You could say that..." he said as his smirk sent a known feeling through my body.

"Oh..." I replied not knowing what to say. I couldn't hold back the embarrassment filled inside me. My mind bursts with million of thoughts that my lips couldn't utter.

"Hey............ I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.....I was just asking only" he spoke as his eyes held a small smile.

"Did you hear everything?"

"Um...yea. I am sorry..."

"No...it's ok....... I wasn't alone there.... In fact my friend forced me to follow her there. After the meal, they left the restaurant in a hurry and forgot to pay their bill..... and I didn't have enough cash....so....... I was ummm....stuck there for some time" I spoke as he was listening to me with complete attention. I didn't know why I was telling all this to him, but it just felt good.

Someone was finally listening to me like a caring friend and I liked it. I just wanted to share everything to someone at that moment and this guy, certainly was the best option. After all, we wouldn't even be seeing each other!

"Why didn't you call anyone else?" he asked as his eyes were now on the road.

"I don't know much people here. Everything's new to me so.... I just depended that one friend" I chuckled dryly as he smiled. The weather was so cold, and it was hard not to stammer while talking. I slowly lifted my eyes and noticed his smooth skin and a defined jaw line. He was definitely a good looking man... wonder what he was doing at that restaurant alone?

He quickly averted his gaze to me as I saw his confused look. The next moment, he stretched his arms towards the back seat, and grabbed a huge jacket. My eyes widened at the thought of him, offering me that jacket.

However, before I could refuse, he leaned towards me and wrapped the entire jacket around my frame. My eyes enlarged the moment the jacket touched my skin as the hairs on the nape of my neck bristled. I know it was dumb to be scared, but I couldn't help it. It was the first time I had received such a care from someone. Especially a man! I had never seen anyone care for me apart from my grandparents and this was something new...

It felt like a dream but the intensity in his eyes proved me otherwise. Not being able to look at his eyes, I lowered my gaze again. The jacket provided so much of warmth that I ditched the idea of rejecting it.

"I thought you might need it..."he said as he moved back to his seat and resumed the journey.

".......Thank...you" I softly mumbled.

"Anyway.... What your friends did, was wrong. Where were they rushing for so hastily that they forgot to pay the bills?" he asked curiously.

"I don't know..... One of her friend just informed her that they were having some 'Star-Night' event..........and I think......they went to see a celebrity..........De...Dev Sharma I think...." I said while trying to recall the names they were mentioning at the table. I didn't see his face while speaking but somehow, I could sense his expressions changing.

"Ouhh.....interesting... why didn't you follow them? Not a fan of Dev Sharma?" he smiled.

"There wasn't any offer in the first place... and I don't know who Dev Sharma is! Plus, Natasha always told me that I don't fit in those places.....so it's better I stay out of all these" I told softly as his face immediately changed into a frown. That's when I realised that I have been revealing more than what I should have. God...from when did I become a chatter box?

"That's not true...." He said as his eyes wandered over my face. It was dark, but the street lights were bright enough for him to see my face.

"It is.... Everyone says that...." I said as he shook his head.

"You are adorable the way you are and if you are worried about being judged, then you can't survive anywhere. I can't believe a beautiful girl like you, aren't confident about yourself. If someone like you, are feeling self-conscious, then I wonder what the average looking girls would feel like..." he winked as I immediately blushed.

OMG..... Did he just call me something else apart from ugly and boring? Don't believe London guys Sona, they just know how to flatter you!

"Thank you.......but...I mean, I don't think I would even be interested in meeting people there. After all....they are all stars whom I don't know" I said biting my lips.

Suddenly, I felt his gaze travelling from my eyes to my lips and a painful groan left his lips. Now what?

"So.... If you were given a chance to attend those shows, would you go?" he asked.

"Um...I don't know....but from the reaction of the girls just now, I kind of know what I am going to expect there....... I just can't bear how those girls sounded. I mean he can be a star but obviously he doesn't even know whether they exist or not. Then why bother applying extra make-up and standing in the huge crowd, just to get a glimpse of him? And the worst part is......... the girl already had a boyfriend......It's just so.....eww." I said as I cringed at the memory of how Natasha's friend described that guy.

When I glanced at him, the corners of his lips fought a smile, as his eyebrows were slightly raised. I looked away before that mischievous look of his spread across his face. What was he thinking?

"So......why are you here....in London?"

"I.........I am doing my Medicine Degree in UCL here....." I said, not wanting to go in detail about it. But the moment I said that, his expressions changed into shock.

"You are studying at UCL?" he confirmed as I just hummed in response. Just then, I noticed that the car wasn't moving. When I looked outside, I noticed that we had already reached my apartment. That's when I remembered something...... I didn't even tell him my address!

Shit...you have a stalker Sona!

"Ermm....Thank you so much......Sorry I blabbered too much" I said softly as he smiled at me. There was something about the way he smiled. It definitely caused some butterflies to escape in my stomach as I smiled back and softly bit my lips in nervousness.

"Don't do that..." he mumbled as I furrowed my eye brows at him. His jaw was clenched, and his eyes darkened.

"Do what?" I asked as I bit my lips harder to stop myself from trembling.

Before he could answer, his fingers came up and pulled my bottom lip from my teeth. I gasped as I felt his cold fingers on my face. Holy cow......so he was talking about biting my lips.

It was really awkward. I immediately turned my face away to avoid his stare as his presence started to make me feel uncomfortable. Without saying anything, I got out from the car and hurried inside the basement of the flat.

But once I took a few steps, I realised that I was still wearing his jacket. How dumb! I really regretted leaving in a hurry now...

When I turned back, my breathing got hitched as I saw him standing near the pillar with his arms crossed. The darkness of the car really didn't do justice to his beauty. He was indeed a Greek god. His smile shined like the stars in the sky, with no bright city lights to dim them. It was like the sun opening its eagerness light to shine about.

The moment he started walking towards me, my legs automatically moved backwards. The journey never seemed to end until my back hit the wall. But his movement was fast enough, that he managed to tower over me in a minute. I knew I should have given his jacket back, but why is he scaring me like this? I breathed harder to calm my racing heart and slowly raised my arms to remove my jacket. But my hands couldn't raise higher as his frame was blocking my movements.

His hands quickly held my wrist and stopped my movements. I wanted to speak something, but nothing was coming out from my mouth. Why did he have to look so handsome?

"It's ok......it looks better on you" he said as his breath was fanning on my face. I was breathing as if no air would ever be enough to calm my nerves.

"But-"

Before I could say anything, his fingers made their way around my neck. My eyes widened as the steady breathing that I had, gave away to deeper puffs when he touched the sensitive skin near my neck. He leaned his face to one side, as my face flushed. It felt suffocating, yet I stood like a paralyzed doll. I couldn't move or push him away.

The next minute, i felt something cold on my bare skin. My eyes widened as I saw my chain back on my neck!

How? Did he buy it back from the people? Oh lord.... who's he? My fear kept increasing as he moved closer to my ears and stood still.

"W-who are you?" I asked as his eyes bored holes through mine.

"Yours.........and......only........." he whispered as he stuffed a card inside my palm and quickly moved away. I could swear that my poor heart died the minute he uttered those words.

I blinked a few times and watched him walking back to his car. What was he doing to me? I quickly composed myself and scanned the card which was placed on my palms. But the minute I read those words, I felt like the whole world was against me.

Now everything made sense......

Dev Sharma, Director of Chandelier Hotel...

Dev's POV

She's not usually the kind of girl I fantasise about. For starters, she was an introvert and I have always liked bold girls. I lust after modern girls who could handle the world of business but that was all until I met Sonakshi.

She was the cutest person I had ever met in my life! Credits goes to her parents.... I have never seen a girl as beautiful as her. She had a kind of understated beauty, perhaps it was because she was so disarmingly unaware of her prettiness. Her glowing skin was completely flawless. I doubt she used face masks or expensive products but that really wasn't her. She was all about simplicity. The innocence, beauty and elegance just added up to her angelic form. I never knew that a girl could look so sexy by just biting her lips.

The moment I saw her at the restaurant, I lost my senses. She looked depressed and exhausted. She was pleading with my staffs about something I couldn't point out. I watched her through my two-way mirror and noticed that she didn't have a phone with her too as she used the phone at the receptionist area.

Just when I was about to leave my room, my senior employee came in and informed me that the girl outside was short of cash as her friends ditched her after having their meal. He also informed that she was willing to give her gold chain to settle the cash amount. My heart really broke at that moment because I knew that she wasn't someone who would lie or cheat. If it was any other person, I would have taken some serious action but I just couldn't do anything to a girl who looked so pure and innocent..... It took everything in me to not go out and console her.

I quickly received that chain and told my staff to take down her particulars and address before letting her go. Once she was gone, I walked out and checked her particulars. Sonakshi Agarwal.....such a beautiful name. I blinked when I noticed that she was staying at the city's most high-class apartment. Then why did she claim that she didn't have enough money?

After wrapping up my work, I started my car and started to drive when a sudden thought invaded my mind. What if she's still stuck somewhere? I knew that she didn't have any money so she couldn't have afforded a cab. Her apartment was also far away..... where could she have gone in this rain?

I slowly drove behind the hotel, only to see my angel sitting on the bench.

I could literally feel my heart skipping a beat when I saw her.... She looked so divine with her eyes closed and water dripping from her hair, down on her eyelashes and on her entire face. She looked like she was thinking about something...and that moment, I couldn't help but think of us being together.

I knew it was wrong to have such thoughts since I was still with Sasha but this time, I decided to ignore all rational thoughts.

I quickly drove towards her, when she got startled and woke up. When I offered her some help, she was so reluctant to come inside. I could see that she didn't trust me at first but nevertheless, she accepted my offer. It was so adorable when she was worried that she would wet my seats. I was always used to the attention people gave me but for the first time, I craved some attention from her.

I noticed that she always avoided any eye contact with me. When she told me that her friends ditched her, I really felt angry on them. I mean what kind of friend would do that?

Then she finally spoke about Dev Sharma!

The way her lips frowned, and her face cringed, I fought the urge to laugh hard. Wasn't it a sin to be so adorable? I couldn't help but smile when I listened to her rant about how her friends reacted to me. It was true.... I was supposed to attend that Star-night show that day but too bad I had to cancel it the last minute! Instead this beautiful lady here, had all my attention!

But one thing that bothered me was her low self-confidence. She truly believed that she wasn't good enough to fit in classy places. Maybe that's what her friends made her believe! Only if she had known.......how beautiful she was.

I wanted to ask her many things but decided to keep quiet instead as I didn't want to freak her out. She was shivering a lot while speaking, so I offered her my jacket. I could have just handed the jacket to her, but a sudden urge rose in me to hold her. I wanted to touch and.... feel her. I quickly moved towards her, held her shoulders and covered her small frame with it.

I felt her flinching away from my touch, so I immediately moved away. I know I should have been a bit patient......but damn hormones!

Learning that she was studying Medicine Degree in UCL was a big shock to me. Getting a place there was not just difficult....it needed extremely high grades. That one piece of information was enough to tell me how intelligent she was.

She was so engrossed in reading my face that she didn't even realise that we reached her place. The moment she bit her lips, I lost it. I asked her to stop it and she released her lips from her teeth for a while just to bite it again. Her gaze was causing my body to heat up as my breathes became shorter. The only difference was, I am a better actor then her.

Her nervousness and deep breathes were more visible. The moment my fingers reached her lips, her eyes widened, and she panicked. Without saying anything, she left the car and rushed towards her flat.

She was walking unusually slowly, almost robotically, as if her brain was struggling to tell each foot to take the next step.

Exhaling, I flopped back on my seat and closed my eyes. What do I do? Why do I feel so good being with her? Do I really like Sonakshi? Is it just a mere attraction......but I haven't been able to get her off my mind for so long! Do I see a future with her? Hell, does she even like me? What if she hates celebrities due to their high-profile lifestyle?

However, my mind focused on a more important question. Now what do I do about Sasha? That is the question that hovers me like a fire breathing dragon in my thoughts. My heart flickers just thinking about her. I knew she liked me, and I didn't want to hurt her. She was an extremely nice person but now I had realised that I was never attracted to Sasha in the way I was attracted to Sona.

I wasn't a person who believed in love at first sight, but my heart just couldn't ignore her. Yes! I had started having feelings for a complete stranger. But, I had to be realistic and get my life together or I'm going to be stuck with my mum's lecture. I can't blame her either nor I can keep running away from marriage.

I quickly opened my eyes and decided to walk inside the basement when I saw Sona still walking slowly. Suddenly she halted in her steps and turned behind. I didn't know what she was thinking but the expression on her face was priceless! The moment she saw me, her entire frame went rigid. Just to increase her anxiety, I walked closer and hovered her.

Any other girl would have died to be in my arms but she was different. She tried to run away fro me. That made her more attractive in my eyes. Her eyes enlarged and her frame was shivering. She was completely uncomfortable but that gave me a sadistic pleasure of moving even closer. She slowly moved away to remove her jacket but I immediately stopped her. Oh my little one....

The moment my arms held her wrists, she blushed furiously. Before she could turn away with shyness, a genuine grin spread across my face. I slowly took the chain I had in my pocket and tied it around her neck. I could sense her heavy breathing and all the while, she didn't even look up at me.

When she finally realised that her chain was on her neck, her eyes widened, and lips parted in surprise. A small smile was threatening to come out from her lips. Just that reaction itself was enough for me to know how much that chain meant to her.

"Who are you?" she asked as her eyes blinked at me innocently.

"Yours.........and......only........." I whispered in her ears.

That look on her face, mesmerized me. I watched her like she had the stars in her hands and moons at her feet. I wanted to wrap her in my arms and never let her go.

Jeez....... you are crazy Dev!

I quickly slide my business card in her palms and walked away before I would do something stupid. I didn't know if she would call me or not, but all I could do was to hope. At least she would know that it was me whom she had been talking all the way long.

Poor girl....she would have gotten a mini heart attack when she reads that card!

Big Chapters! I know.....it's really tiring to read them. But I like to write the actions, movements and character's reactions through DETAILED DESCRIPTION. I want my readers to feel how the characters are feeling and make it seem like they are watching a movie.
