36. You can't reject!
S W A R A
It's been 3 months since we started living our own life in Bangalore. We choose this southern part so that we wouldn't be found. Even though we loved each other there was awkwardness spread around us. We maybe was very close before but after that very night we had a huge gap between us. Initially it has started vanishing and yeah we are now a sort of in good friendship or to say housemate relationship. I still needed time. Sanskaar had started working through online and he's already building his own company here. I was proud of this young man who is standing beside me cutting vegetables and helping me out for the dinner, he had worked really hard for the company yet still he manages to help me out whenever I make food and spend time with me.
"I'm done cutting them and now I'm going to eat apple." I heard him.
"You want?" He continued.
"I don't want to have it now." I said stirring the curry.
"You can't reject." He ordered.
God! This man is really stubborn, stubborn then me that sometimes I feel he's not 25 but a 5 year old kiddo.
"Hiss..." I heard his wince and so I immediately turned to my left to see an apple rolling down and the knife has fully made a big strip on his inner palm which lead his hand to bleed.
I immediately turned off the stove and rushed to him.
"Oh my god!" I cried seeing blood oozing out while he was standing as if nothing happened.
I ran towards my room and came with the first box and started bandaging his wound.
"This why I don't let you cut vegetables." I could feel my tears covering my eyes but that wasn't my concern, it was only him now.
S A N S K A A R
I saw her totally lost but still cooking the my favourite panner butter masala which I demanded this evening. As I promised I was able to get her into a friendly one but about being in relationship... Well I know she needs time and I can wait for all the way.
Cutting these vegetables and getting the good smell of the curry made me more hungry.
"I'm done cutting them and now I'm going to eat an apple." I said and took the apple from the bowl and looked at her who just smiled still cooking.
"You want?" I continued taking the knife.
"I don't want to have it now." She said stirring the curry.
She always says like this.
"You can't reject." I ordered and started cutting the apple into half.
Did I sound like a kid, well I don't care about that. Urgh... This knife is blunt, I wonder how swara uses this. I shifted the apple towards my right hand and tried to slice it again but instead of slicing, the apple rolled and it made a big cut across my right inner palm.
"Hiss....." I winced a little in pain and immediately closed my mouth.
Swara immediately looked at me while I didn't say anything. She immediately switched off the stove and came near me and held my wounded hand.
"Oh my god!" She cried seeing my bloody hand.
She quickly ran towards her room and I know why she went, she came with the first aid box and started cleaning and bandaging my wound. I could feel her worriedness towards me and I also noticed her glassy eyes.
"This why I don't let you cut vegetables." She said still bandaging my hand carefully as if it was a glass which had to be handled with care.
Even though it has made cut across my whole palm it didn't pain much, it just stung a bit that's all. While looking at swara, she was literally freaking out for that cut. I know this girl loves me... Even more than I do for her. I couldn't stop admiring her for loving such a man like me.
"Dare you step inside the kitchen saying I'm cutting vegetables." Swara warned me while I nodded slowly.
She dragged me towards the hall and made me sit on the sofa.
"At least I'll be there na?" I whined. Sitting here will be worst but at least even though I can't help her I can give her company right?
"No need." I made innocent faces but she didn't bother. She switched on the television and started switching on the channel and she stopped at the sport channel.
"See your favorite badminton match is on so start looking at them, till then I'll finish off cooking the dinner." Swara went inside before I would even protest.
Fine I do love watching matches all nights but right now I have no mood. Instead of watching the match I was watching her. Thankfully the kitchen was well visible from the hall.
(Pov ends)
"Bhai, diduuuuuuu." A little girl yelled coming inside while swara and sanskaar turned towards the front door to see a girl of 6 standing with a wide smile.
"I'm here." Sanskaar sang and widened his arms while the little girl ran into his arms. Sanskaar caressed her hairs.
"How's my Barbie doll?" Sanskaar asked while the girl broke the hug.
"Sanku bhaiyu I'm baby doll." The girl pouted as he called her wrongly.
"Huh you both look so much alike, not my fault." Sanskaar surrendered while the little girl giggled and went to the kitchen and sanskaar followed her.
"Yummyyyyy.." the little girl squealed.
"Myra where is your sister?" Swara looked at her.
"Oh.. niya.." little Myra was cutted her sister who was about to speak.
"I'm hereee." Another girl who was much alike myra came running inside.
"Myra, Niya..." A women being at mid 20's pepped in.
"They are here nivi." Sanskaar shouted while nivi came in.
"You little devils in disguise of angels I'm running up and down for you both you guys are here." Nivi gave a glare to her kids while they made innocent faces.
"What happened di?" Swara asked.
"These two didn't wanted to have salad and dashed into suganya aunty's house and before I reach them they are here." Nivi complained.
"Mumma veggies are not good for health." Myra pouted.
"Now who told you that?" Nivi was about to catch her but Myra hid herself behind sanskaar's legs.
Sanskaar took her in his arms and Myra immediately placed her head on his neck hiding.
"Who told you veggies are not good for health sweetheart?" Swara enquired.
"Niya..." Myra pointed to niya. While all looked at her.
"Nooooooo, my best friend Rita only told." Niya made puppy face.
"Didu I want this." Myra pointed at the curry while swara took her in her arms.
"Okay I'll give you but you have to eat a little of salad. I know it doesn't taste well but if you eat that then I'll give you this." Swara said.
"Really?" Niya looked at swara cutely.
"Ha cutie really." Swara ruffled her hairs.
"Then we'll eatie." Both said in union while all chuckled.
Swara immediately packed some gravy in a box and gave it to nivi.
"Thanks swara." Nivi hugged her.
"It's okay di." Swara smiled.
"Okay say good night to your Bhai and di." Nivi look at her kids.
"Good night." Both waved their hands.
"Good night sweeties." Sanskaar smiled while swara gave a good night kiss to both of them and they left.
"Dinner is ready." Swara said while sanskaar nodded and was about to take a bowl but got a slap on his hand.
"Ouch." Sanskaar winced.
"Forgot that your hand got hurt?" Swara glared and took the bowl to the table.
Sanskaar signed in defeat and went to the dinning table and sat. Swara started serving the dinner in both their plates. Sanskaar rolled his eyes thinking how he was going to eat.
Swara looked at him struggling and pulled his plate to her. He looked at her while swara gave no heads and tore and small piece of roti, dipped into the curry and forwarded towards him. Seeing him just staring at her she asked him to eat through her eyes while sanskaar nodded and started eating. After feeding him she too had her dinner then washed the dishes.
"Good night swara." Sanskaar smiled.
"Good night sanskaar." Swara too wished and both went into the respective rooms and soon fell into asleep.
