Broken's POV

I woke up an stretched a little, "Come on Hope, we need to get breakfast for Mother and Father. before they wake up!" I growled and shook my sister awake. she quickly stretched and nodded, "Lets go, before we get hurt again." she murmured softly.

We quickly ran into the forest and split up. I quietly wondered to a pond, I smelt the air to smell a vole 'that should be a good breakfast for Father!' I thought happily.

I quietly stalked the prey carefully, stopping as it looked up. Once I was in reach I leapt onto it as it squeaked in alarm, and I gave it the killing bite. I smiled happily to myself.

Mother and Father had taught us that hunt for them first, or give them the biggest an plumpest. I carefully hold onto the vole as I walk home with Father's breakfast, I caught up with hope and we ran to the cave as Mother and Father stumbled out.

"Bought time! SCRAM FUR-BALLS!" Mother yelled scratched my chest. I cringed and pain as Hope helped me to our makeshift nest. "I'll stop the bleeding, but it might hurt." Hope warned as she put chewed up marigold and cobwebs on the scratch.

I winced in pain as she finished applying the herbs, "It should be fine now, but your off hunting duty," Hope meowed quietly, "But i need too! Mother and Father will kill me!" I growled in protest, "Fine, but be careful!" Hope meowed softly.

I nodded and laid down in the nest. I soon fell asleep.

I woke up quickly as Hope pushed me down. "Careful Broken. slower," hope mewed softly, and I did as told and we scurried off to the front of the cave where Mother and Father stumbled out. "FIND US THE BERRIES!!" Mother screamed at us, they were talking about Juniper Berries, they eat a lot of them.. we scampered off and kept searching and hunting until nightfall.
