Epilouge
After a few days, Draco had to get surgery to heal his back, and he was in horrible pain. He was now at the house again, curled up on a couch as he healed.
Harry was there to make him feel better. He was determined to make Draco happy.
"Okay Daco, time to learn the shapes!" He giggled, crawling into bed. "Mommy showed me earlier!" He giggled.
Draco have a soft smile and hugged Harry. "Okay, Harry."
Harry giggled and showed him each shape. "This a triangle." He gave him a triangle. "This a square," he gave him a square. "This a...long square!" He set a rectangle on his chest.
Draco smiled. "Good job, love," Harry giggled happily.
Narcissa and Lucius walked in with scorpius, who had a cast on his paw. His tail wagged happily as he trotted to the two boys, licking Harrys face for good measure.
Harry cooed and pat his head, then curled up to Draco. "Sleepy time,"
"Sleepy time," Draco hummed, kissing his head. He slowly fell asleep, along with Harry, then Scorpius.
Narcissa sighed softly. "Lucius, what do you think would have happened if Harry didn't decide to leave the house?" She asked her husband quietly. Lucius put his arm around her.
"I'd like to think...that he left another day. Or that Arabella found him later on. I'd like to think that he would have been brought to us and he would have been given a good life...but..." He looked down sadly. "I honestly don't know what would have happened, love."
Narcissa sniffled. "I don't want to think about what would have happened to him," she whimpered, curling up to Lucius.
"Then don't." He said gently, kissing her head as he swayed back and forth with her. "Just think about now. Look at him,"
The two looked over at the six year old, who didn't even look like his old self anymore. Harry was now much more healthy, he was growing, he gained a lot of weight, his hair grew back, his bruises went away, and he looked happy.
"He might have come from a broken home, but he's in a better one now. He's in a loving home." Lucius kissed her head.
"And you and I both know that he's happier here than he ever was in his broken home." Narcissa said quietly.
"Yes." Lucius looked back at Harry, love in his eyes. "A broken home does not make a permanently broken boy."
