Chapter 8: Hyung
❀~~~~❀~~~~❀~~~~❀
"W-What are you doing?" Jungkook stuttered, almost going back to how he usually was, the shy flusturated boy in front of this seductive flirty roommate of his.
"Distracting you," Taehyung confessed, smirking whilst biting his lower lip, "I didn't know it'd actually work, but I guess it did. You do fancy me," he smiled at him.
"No way," the younger protested, but the cheeky grin never disappeared from the elder's face.
"Then how did you suddenly become so calm all of the sudden after that whole outrage of yours?" he asked with his brows raised.
Jungkook didn't dare answering. It was indeed because of Taehyung he calmed down. He realised he genuinely didn't know what he was talking about when he was so angry, and when he became as seductive as he'd ever been, there was no wonder he turned red from embarrassment again.
"Well?" he asked.
"What?" the elder questioned him.
"Am I that comfortable to sit on?" he asked. He sounded way braver and flirty than he meant it to be, but he could swore he saw a few hints of a blush on the elder's face as he stared down at him.
"To be honest, yes," he grinned back, "I've never been this comfortable before." He added a wink before he straightened his back again, and finally climbed off him. "See you later Jungkookie," he said with a weak smile before he disappeared from the dorm.
Jungkook couldn't do anything else than to wait for Taehyung to come back to ask him who did it, and why, but the more read the article, the sadder he got. It hurt him.
He didn't know why any of them wanted to hurt him this way. Obviously Taehyung trusted his friends and probably didn't take it seriously as he must've mentioned Jungkook's accident this morning, and it's quite normal for males to wake up to a boner. It didn't have to necessarily be from their roommates, although their situation literally screamed in Taehyung's face 'YOU TURNED ME ON'. It wasn't something Jungkook was proud over, but he couldn't do anything about it. It wasn't like he literally had control over that area.
The more the younger thought about it, the clearer it got; he could, in fact, think of one person who could've done it. His intentions could be to create distance between Jungkook and Taehyung because he didn't like them being roommates, and Jungkook could only think of one person: Jung Hoseok.
But did he really cross that line? Did he do all that so Jungkook would be mad at Taehyung?
It was already nine o'clock in the evening, and Taehyung still hadn't come back to the dorm. At nine-thirty no students were allowed to be outside the dorms, so he became worried as he still hadn't come back. Should I look for him?
Jungkook sat up and exited the room before he walked around in the hallway, trying to see if he could hear Taehyung's voice somewhere. He had no idea where his friends' dorms were at, but just tried to catch someone talking.
After walking aimlessly for some good ten minutes, he finally recognised the deep voice he was looking for, he stopped right in front of the door.
"Aren't you gonna tell me why?" he yelled.
"Calm down Tae," said the other voice who Jungkook recognised to belong to Hoseok. So he was right earlier?
"How can I calm down? You wrote and posted that article! What were your intentions? Hurting him? That was such a dick move Hoseok, I can't believe you," he growled at him, "you should've seen his reaction. I've never seen anyone become that angry and hurt. Obviously it affected him a lot, but you just don't care, do you? And why exactly? Because he's my roommate? Is that what this is about? Jealousy?"
Hoseok didn't seem to reply, so Jungkook didn't know if he used bodylanguage by nodding or if he didn't reply his friend at all.
"You can just forget being friends with me Hoseok, because what you did now, was a step further away from me."
"Taehyung, please! Don't say that," the other whimpered.
"No! You just have yourself to thank, you asshole."
Jungkook didn't realise he was literally standing right in front of the door, and it had suddenly opened. Taehyung jumped a bit, but neither of them said anything.
The blond male sighed weakly before grabbing the younger's hand and dragged him with him to their dorm again without a word from either of them.
But Jungkook smiled to himself. He stood up for me.
"Thank you," Jungkook said when they were back in their room again, "for standing up for me."
"Well, no wonder you were pissed," Taehyung said as he brushed his teeth with Jungkook standing behind by the doorframe, staring at his back view fondly, "I'd kill him if it were me."
"Did you...delete the article?" Jungkook asked carefully.
Taehyung glanced at him through the mirror. "Of course I did. I did it immediately as I was out of our room."
Jungkook nodded with a smile towards him.
"Thanks."
"Really," the elder said, "don't thank me. I haven't done anything for you to be grateful to." He genuinely looked really sad as he was still standing there, even though he had finished brushing his teeth. He motioned for Jungkook to come and do the same, but he didn't move from his spot, just staring at Jungkook.
"Did you know immediately it was Hoseok who posted it?" Jungkook asked curiously.
"No," Taehyung replied, "because I hadn't told him anything about you. I only told my best friend, Jimin, but he must've mentioned it to either Yoongi, or probably Hoseok himself. Honestly, I didn't think it'd go out of hand like this. I'm really sorry Jungkook," he apologised. Jungkook knew he sincerely meant it by the look in his eyes. "I'm so sorry. I never meant to actually hurt you."
"It's okay, hyung." It was the first time Jungkook had called his roommate hyung. He never considered them close enough for him to refer him to that, but after what they had already gone through this one week only, wouldn't it make sense? And it wasn't like the article was a lie, it was just a secret for the Freshman. But now that he knew it wasn't Taehyung, his old feelings were still inside of him.
Could it possibly mean Jungkook was starting to grow fond of his roommate?
The next day it was hard to attend classes. Everywhere Jungkook was, people started whispering immediately. It wasn't like it was new, but now he knew it was about the article instead of the video, which was less embarrassing.
"Watch out guys, or you'll turn him on," some boys were joking around when a group of males passed him in the hallway. Other students nearby snickered by their comment, but all Jungkook did was glare at them and try his best to ignore everyone else. He didn't even notice a person who was witnessing the scene from afar.
Classes ended and Jungkook could finally go back to his room to hide from everyone else. He just couldn't bear to be around people anymore. It was so embarrassing walking around when everyone treated you either like the plague itself, or someone thinking he'd attack them with sexual actions, especially the males.
"Hey Jungkookie," greeted a sudden voice as the said one was sitting down by his desk and finishing up his homework for the week.
"Hey hyung," Jungkook greeted back, watching the other throw himself on his own bed, staring at the younger one. "Do you want something?" he asked with a slight frown.
Taehyung smiled as he softly shook his head, but he still didn't remove his eyes off the other. "Hey, you wanna go out with me this weekend?"
"W-What?" Jungkook stuttered by his sudden request, not knowing clearly what he was trying to say.
"Do you wanna go out with me this weekend? It's finally Friday, we're both free from school for two days, and I certainly don't wanna hang out with my friends for the moment, and I know you don't have any other friends to hang out with," he explained, sitting up in his bed, looking at the other excitedly. He meant to hang out...
"Uhm, sure, I don't really have any plans, I guess," he said, trying his best to not show his disappointment. He didn't even know why himself he was disappointed.
"Great," Taehyung grinned, "it's a date."
Sometimes Jungkook wondered if Taehyung was Satan himself. He certainly had to be doing this all on purpose. He was definitely far from being innocent, and he had to have been picking up the hints from the younger than he wasn't just a normal roommate of his.
"What do you wanna do then?" the Freshman asked curiously, unable to finish up his assignment.
He grumbled a bit as he thought. "Let's do whatever you want. What's your ideal type of a date?"
"D-Date?" Jungkook stuttered with wide eyes.
"Yeah? I literally just asked you on a date, and you said yes," he smiled.
Jungkook stared at him. "Are you being serious right now?" he asked. "I thought you meant to just hang out as friends? Isn't that what you're saying?"
Taehyung grinned at him. "Come on, I can see the way you stare at me. One date won't hurt you, yeah? Let's try it out."
