Izuku's eyes widened with fear.

"Tomura! No! Please!" 

"I'm sorry it had to be this way, Izuku. Remember...this is for your own good."

The villain left, gesturing to Toga and Dabi. 

"Bring Izuku to me, then kill the hero. Our little villain needs to be taught a lesson. We will watch on the cameras." 

Todoroki looked around, catching sight of several cameras on the walls. 

That sick bastard... He wants to make Izuku suffer by watching Toga and Dabi torture me.

The blonde and the black-haired villains moved towards the pair menacingly.

"Come on, little Deku. You don't need this piece of shit hero." Dabi gestured towards Todoroki.

"Don't listen to him! They just want to use you!" Shoto yelled.

"Don't you think I know that?" The green-haired boy wheeled on the villainous pair.

"I WON'T LET YOU HURT HIM!" Midoriya screamed. "I thought you two were my friends! But you want to kill the only love of my life!" He darted in front of the dual-haired hero.

Dabi sighed. "Guess we'll have to do this the hard way."

He backhanded the greenette across the face roughly, sending him flying across the room.

"Izuku!" Shoto screamed.

Toga looked questioningly at her partner.

"But Boss said-"

"Relax, idiot. He's only unconscious, and he can watch the tapes later." Dabi rolled his eyes.

"Fufufuu! You're so smart! Okay!" Himiko giggled, unsheathing her knife.

Blue fire blazed in the male villain's palms, and they began to advance towards the hero.

Todoroki glanced towards his boyfriend helplessly.

I'll have to tend to him later.

He focused his gaze on the villains, hardening with hatred. Fire blazed on one side of his body while ice encased the other.

"You corrupted Izuku, and look where it got him! I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" 

They jumped into battle, with Todoroki shooting icicles and fire bolts at the villains. 

His attempts were to no avail. The most he did was clip Toga's shoulder and singe Dabi's hair.

Himiko and her partner got closer and closer until the hero's back was against the wall.

"Lights out, hero." The scarred villain ignited entire body and chuckled menacingly.

"Playtime's over." 

"Fufufufuuuuu....I wonder what his blood will taste like!" Toga unsheathed a second knife and gripped them in her hands.

Shoto was backed into a corner. 

He closed his eyes, preparing for the end.

Izuku...I'm sorry. Get away from these villains as soon as you can. Go to America. Find Katsuki. He can help you. I'm sorry it had to end like this.

Across the room, on the ground, Izuku's eyes opened slowly.

"H-huh?" He croaked.

Midoriya looked around, spotting Todoroki, about to die.

Oh, no. No no no no. I can't-why can't I move? 

The green-haired boy struggled to lift himself off the ground, standing with difficulty and running full tilt towards the battle.

Toga lunged, and Dabi sent a fire bolt towards Shoto.

For the greenette, time seemed to slow down.

He saw everything in slow motion.

I can't let him die. No. This can't happen.

Izuku launched himself the remaining ten feet, jumping in front of the love of his life to protect him one last time.

Toga's knives sank into his shoulder blades and Dabi's blast hit him full on in the chest, slumping to the ground and eyes fluttering closed. 

The two villain's eyes widened in surprise. Blood began to pour from the boy's wounds.

Shoto opened his eyes.

I-I'm not dead. What happened?

He looked down, seeing his boyfriend lying there.

"Izuku, what did you-" he noticed the boy's wounds.

"Oh, no. You idiot, why? WHY WOULD YOU DO IT?!" He yelled, desperately trying to staunch the bleeding.

Dabi glanced at Toga. 

"Boss is going to kill us. Leave the hero, we'll be lucky to survive!"

"Yeah, let's get out of here!"The two scurried towards the door.

Todoroki looked up from the body of his only love.

Hatred and rage caused him to let out a feral scream as heat blasted from his fingertips.

The wave caught the unfortunate villains right as they reached the door, dropping them like flies.

Shoto picked up his boyfriend tenderly, tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Izuku...I can't lose you again. Don't leave me."

He kicked the door down, running through a series of tunnels until he reached the streets.

It was still dark. Shoto ran like a man possessed, cradling the love of his life's unresponsive body and whispering little prayers and mantras.

"No, oh no. Hang in there, babe. Just a little longer. Please, oh please, oh please..."

Todoroki ran through the dark, deserted roads, no other human being in sight until he reached the police station, pushing open the door.

The harsh light illuminated the haggard, bruised Shoto, cradling his gravely wounded boyfriend.

The man fell to his knees, spent.

Police looked up from their desks in surprise.

Detective Kirigiri spotted the two, eyes widening in recognition.

She grabbed a phone and spoke into it.

"We have a code red, repeat, code red. I need an ambulance. Two of them. Hurry!"

She dashed over to Shoto.

"Mr. Todoroki, what happened? Who was it? What did they do to him?" She gestured towards Izuku, cradled like a baby in his arms.

Todoroki looked up, eyes hardening in resolve.

"Don't let him die."

And then he passed out, spent from exhaustion.
