(Three days later, early in the morning)
Percy's POV:

I woke up and swung my legs out of bed, feeling for the floor before I stood up. I had gotten somewhat used to living without my eyes over the past few days as I waited for Brokkr and Sindri to come back with the items.

I started my morning routine and shuffled over to where there was a basin of cold water and reached up and unwrapped the bandage around my eyes before replacing it with a new one. The cooling liquid on the cloth easing the pain in my eye sockets. I then moved slowly to the bathroom where I took a shower and brushed my teeth when I heard the door creak open slightly.

The sound was only slight but due to my loss of sight my other senses had increased. I shut off shower dried off and wrapped the towel around my waist before walking back into the main room where I heard a slight girlish squeak.

I pretended not to hear it as I assumed Eir was hiding near a wall holding her breathe as I felt around for my clothes. I faced her and smirked before I went back into the bathroom and changed. When I was finished I walked back out where I heard Eir replacing the bandages.

"Good morning Percy" she said and I raised my hand in greeting "are you ready to start your journey?" She asked and I nodded my head "very good"

Once she was finished she helped me walk towards the throne room where I heard several voices talking. Two of them were Thor and Odin and I heard Brokkr and Sindri, there were also a few more feminine voices. We walked into the throne room and the voices quieted.

"Percy, your here early" Odin said as I heard the sound of armor and cloth being moved around "your items have arrived just as Brokkr and Sindri said" he finished and I heard the footfalls of one of the dwarves

"This is your armor, normally we would make full plate for the Aesir, but this came out differently so we went with it" The rough voice of Brokkr said as he helped me put on the armor which included a cloth outer layer and a somewhat metal breastplate

"This is your new weapon, forged by the heat of our forge and cooled in the waters of Urðarbrunnr, the blade is different than we expected, single edged with a slight curve" The slightly smoother voice of Sindri explained as I felt the cold steel of the weapon and I was reminded of a katana "it is a very nice looking weapon however, and one we named skurðr" he explained

I nodded my thanks as I sheathed skurðr at my left hip the blade facing up. I then reached into my pocket and pulled riptide out and uncapped it before putting the cap on the hilt turning it into a pen as I brought out a piece of paper.

I started writing on the paper before I showed it to the dwarven brothers.

"Oh you don't know how to use that kind of weapon? Well, we did take that into consideration, the weapon itself will teach you how to use it, once it does however it will lose that enchantment and be replaced with another" he explained and I nodded

"Next up is your key to Yggdrasil, do not lose this, ever" Brokkr said as he handed me a small piece of metal that felt like a small amulet of Mjolnir "this will allow you to traverse the world tree with ease, however be wary of Ratatoskr, it is a very violent beast" he finished and I nodded again

"And finally, a gift the Allfather wished to give you, a new pair of eyes" Sindri said "these won't allow you to see I am afraid but they will couple with your new blessing and allow you to freely use electric pulses to feel those around you, much like a shark" at this I became excited and nodded "could we have everyone except Eir, and the Allfather leave? This operation will be painful Perseus"

I simply gave a thumbs up as Eir lead me over to a table and I laid down. She took the wrapping off my eyes and I felt something being pressed into the sockets wheee my eyes should be. Pain flared in my head as the foreign objects were slowly presses into my skull. I gritted my teeth expecting this pain and refused to show weakness especially after my eyes were removed.

After what felt like hours of pain, the cooling sensation of another head-wrap was pressed over my new eyes. The magical liquid soothing the pain until it was a dull throb. Once the pain was manageable Eir helped me up and I could feel where everyone was.

It was a strange sensation being able to know where people were but be unable to describe them or see them. But I was thankful all the same for what the gods of Asgard have given me.

"You all may re-enter" Odin announced loudly and I heard the door open and several more beings enter

I faced them and bowed my head in greeting. They responded with several greetings and some congratulated me on my new eyes. I smiled slightly as once they sat down in their thrones.

"I have called this meeting of Aesir and Vanir to grant Percy here permission to speak with the Norns. All who oppose this decision raise your hands" Odin stated and I heard no movement "all in favor?" At this I heard the slight shifting of armor and other garments causing me to smile "The decree is passed, Percy present your key to Yggdrasil"

I held up the key that Brokkr gave me and I felt it leave my palm as if a magical force lifted it up. I then felt a magical pressure in the room and a slight wind swirl around where I assumed the key was floating before it landed gently back into my palm.

I moved my hands to my side and I felt the key be pulled into a small section in my pant leg causing me to jump slightly.

"I forgot to tell you, we designed the pants to be able to hold the key when it's not in use, that way it's harder for you to lose it" Brokkr said with a slight chuckle

"Percy, you now have our blessing to meet with the Norns, should they deem you worthy they will also bless your key. In order to use your key you must present it to a gate to Yggdrasil, then it will open" he explained and I nodded as I was led to a space and I pulled my key off and presented it to the what I assumed was empty space, but then I felt a rush of power and the sound of air being filled with some sort of object "We wish you luck Percy" Odin finishes and I walk through the spot where I heard the gate opening

When I walked through, the air around me shifted to be much cooler, a gentle breeze blew around me and I heard a symphony of birds echoing within the sound of swaying branches and rustling leaves. I felt another small surge of energy from within me and I could immediately feel where the branches of the world tree were. I smiled slightly as I mentally thanked Thor for giving me this gift as I started my decent.

As I walked I could feel the presence of various animals appear around me to check out what I was. I mostly ignored them and continued moving downwards, crossing branches and dropping down at various points.

I stopped moving after several hours and sat down at the base of a thick vertical branch wanting to catch my breath. The serenity of the tree giving me a sense of security as I rested against the tree.

After several minutes however, I heard unnatural rustling above me and getting closer by the second. I extended my senses and felt a massive object hurtling straight towards me with reckless abandon. Acting out of pure instinct I dove forward and my right hand went to the hilt of skurðr and my left went to the sheathe.

The massive object landed on the branch and started squeaking and grunting at me. After a second of evaluating me i felt it lunge forward at me.

Relying purely on instincts, I ducked to left and pushed the sheathe of skurðr out before I began drawing the blade then I slammed the sheathe back into place revealing the whole blade in a fraction of a second before I swung diagonally to my right. I felt a small amount of resistance in the middle of my swing before I had passed by the creature when I completely passed by, a clap of thunder echoed out through the tree nearly deafening me.

My blade lowered as I turned around to keep facing the creature before I moved skurðr to my center and had both hands on the hilt. The blade doing exactly as Sindri said it would do.

I listened to the creature as it squeaked in pain and surprise before it bounded off, probably to lick its wounds before returning to try and finish me off.

'I need to leave before it comes back' I thought to myself as I sheathed the blade and started deciding at a quicker pace.

I leapt from branches and slid down trunks of small trees that seemed to be linked to Yggdrasil and as I ran I thought I could hear screams of outrage from my father and other Greek gods and goddesses. But their voices only made me angrier as I pushed past them and kept descending.

After three full hours of climbing I finally made it to what felt like three large roots of Yggdrasil. The air was much colder but not uncomfortable as I found an entrance to a small alcove where I felt three beings attending something. I walked in and heard them turn towards me and gasp.

"Perseus, what are you doing here?" One of them said and I shrugged trying to convey my thoughts about wanting to gain their blessing to leave the nine realms

Luckily they seemed able to read minds and sighed as they guided me over to a chair where they sat me down.

"So it is as we feared, the vision we saw was not of the future but of the past. Perseus we are sorry for what happened to you. We did not foresee the Olympians betrayal" another one said and I tilted my head

"Yes we are the fates as the Greco/Roman pantheon refers to us as" the final one said and I froze in shock

'These were the ones who made my entire life a living hell!?' I thought to myself as I leapt to my feet and drew skurðr

"Calm yourself Perseus, we did not wish to make your life as it was" the first one started

"We are but the weavers of fate, we see the major events in everyone's life and we weave your thread through it" the second said

"The events that lead up to them we cannot plan as only our mother can foresee that. However those troubles have thought you how to stay alive have they not?" The final said and I sheathed by blade begrudgingly and nodded

"However, since we did not foresee this change in fate, we wish to offer revenge against Olympus if you want" they said in sync and I sat back down

'Do I really don't want to involve my life with the Olympians any longer... I just want to be free of them and be my own person for once' I thought to myself before I faced them and shook my head

I pulled out Riptide in pen form and wrote down that I just wanted to leave the nine realms and I heard them sigh.

"We will grant your wish but you cannot bring Riptide beyond the nine realms, if you do, it will lose its connection to Zoe Nightshade and she will fade from the sky. Besides Riptide will be useless against the creatures out there it treat the others like mortals and pass through them" the first Norn said and I nodded sadly

I quickly wrote down what I wanted them to do and handed the piece of paper to them.

"You want us to give riptide back to Zoe? Very well" the second one said as she took the pen from my hands and I heard her cap it

"Present us with your key Perseus so that we may bless it" the third said and I pulled my key off of my pants and held it up to them

They started chanting and I felt a surge of energy travel to the key before it landed back onto my hand. I put the key away before I bowed to them.

"We wish you luck in your new life Perseus, to leave the nine realms travel up Yggdrasil above the eagle and Veðrfölnir, they will know that you have gained our blessing" they said in sync and I nodded before walking out

I faced the top of the tree and sighed silently as I started climbing, occasionally following a path of branches that spiraled upwards.

'New life, here I come' I thought to myself as I heard more rustling behind me along with squeaking and grunting 'Fuck' I finished my thought as the large creature made its way in front of me
