You walked towards the great hall. Harry took a deep breath before walking inside. Hermione and Ron walked behind you. It was awful. You saw teachers crying, nurses sitting besides dead people or trying to cure some of them.

You stopped when you saw the Weasleys. Ron ran past you towards his family.. a Weasley died. Ron fell to his knees and broke down crying.. Fred. You covered your mouth in shock as tears came up in your eyes. Hermione quickly ran over to Ron. You looked besides you and Harry was gone.

George looked at you. You didn't know what to do. You knew Ron and you were close with the twins but you wanted to let them be together. A tear rolled down you cheek but you quickly wiped it away. George walked over to you and hugged you. You hugged him back.

'I'm so sorry for your loss.' You choked.

'Thank you for being here.' George sniffed.

He let you go and you wiped some tears away from his face.

'How am I going to do it?' He asked you.

'What?' You asked him.

'How am I going to live without him?' He asked while more tears rolled down his cheeks.

You gave him another hug. This must be even harder for George.. Fred was his best friend. His everything..

'Y/N.' Hermione said.

You let George go and he immediately hugged Ron. Hermione had also been crying.

'We should go and wait for Harry.'

You nodded. You three walked towards the staircase. Ron and Hermione sat down besides each other and you sat down behind them.

'Y/N..'

You looked back and saw Draco. You immediately got up and hugged him. He held you tightly and kissed the top of his head.

'Thank God you're still alive.' He said. 'I don't have long.. something is about to happen and I have to prepare..'

'What is?' You asked him.

'Don't worry.. soon I'll be on your side.' He said before kissing you.

He then let you go and made his way outside. When Draco walked away you looked directly into Harry's eyes.

'Where have you been?' You asked him.

Hermione and Ron joined your side.

'We thought you went to the forest.' Ron said.

Harry walked past you and stopped on the bottom of the stairs.

'I'm going there now.' He said.

'Are you mad?! No!' Ron hissed.

'You can't give yourself up to him.' You said.

Harry just stood there. Breathing heavily. Hermione took a few steps further down the stairs.

'What is it Harry?' She asked. 'What is it you know?'

Harry turned around.

'There's a reason I can hear them. The horcruxes.. I think I've known for awhile.. and I think you have too.'

Harry.. he was a horcrux.. he had to die to defeat Voldemort.. 

'I'll go with you.' Hermione choked.

'No. Kill the snake. Kill the snake and then it's just him.'

Hermione hugged him. You walked over to him as well. When Hermione let him go you hugged him as well. Harry let you go, turned around and then walked away..

You looked at gal the survivors who were outside. You were at the back of the crowd. You knew Draco was somewhere but you didn't go looking for him. In the distance you saw something. You looked up and saw all the death eaters. Hagrid was carrying someone..

'Who's that? Who's that Hagrids carrying?' You heard Ginny asked. 

'Neville, who is it?' You asked.

'Harry Potter is dead!' Voldemort screamed.

'NO!' Ginny yelled.

You made your way over to her but she already ran towards Voldemort.

'Silence.' Voldemort spoke while casting a spell keeping him at distance.  'Stupid girl! Harry Potter is dead!' He spoke while stepping forwards. 'From this day forth, you'll put your faith in me.' He spoke while pointing at himself.

He smiled and turned around to speak to his followers.

'Harry Potter is dead!' He shouted happily.

All the death eaters laughed while your heart broke. One of your best friends died.. You only hope to win this war.

And now it's time to declare yourself. Come forwards and join us... or die.' He spoke.

'Draco...' Lucius spoke. 

You looked at Draco. He couldn't see you. He looked around but he couldn't find you. He then stepped forwards.

'Draco wait!'

Draco stopped. You ran forwards and stopped at the front of the crowd. Draco turned around and looked at you. He knew he promised you to stay by your side but now it wasn't that easy.

'Y/N..'

'Don't do this.' You spoke. 'Please. Look around you.'

Draco looked at he crowd of students infront of him and the crowd behind him. A lot of students didn't know what was going on. They only knew you two as enemies.

'Listen to Draco.. You have a choice here. You can turn your life around. You can come to the good side of this all. Support Hogwarts, support me.. make everything better.'

'Y/N-'

'No just listen. You finally have the chance to do something good. You have a chance to fight for Hogwarts, to join all of these people.. You have a chance to fight with me.'

Draco was puzzled. He had no idea what he wanted to do.

'Draco..' Lucius said.

'No! Shut up.' You hissed at him. 'Draco.. Please I love you.. I love you so much.. but I don't think I can handle more of this. You have a chance to be with me, to be good. If you're going to leave me broken here again I don't think I can handle it. I don't think I can be with you anymore. We already broke up once.. almost twice. You wouldn't let me do something I wanted, you kept me at the manor. Yeah we had a good time but I was risking my life. You abandoned me as soon as we got here.. I can't take it if you walk that way. Please let that little bit of light inside of you shine through. You promised me.. remember?'

Draco looked at his parents. Their hands reached out to him. You reached your hand up to him. He turned back and looked at it.

'But my family-'

'What family? What did they do for you? Narcissa is the only one with a bit of common sense. Can't you see what they've done to you?'

'Don't listen to her Draco.' Lucius said.

'Yes he should listen to me. Because I'm the only one who's trying to get him to be himself. He deserves to be after the show you let him put on for bloody 7 years! Do you look in the mirror and say: yes I am a good father.'

'How dare you!' Lucius hissed.

'Y/N.. You're asking me to chose between you and my family.'

'Me.. not only me. Hogwarts, your image.. You're good Draco.. You are.. Please just come here and do the right thing.'

Narcissa had to hold herself back. She wanted Draco to do the right thing. You saw it in her eyes but you knew she didn't dare to say anything.

'I'm sorry but my family is there. After everything family is my life Y/N.'

Tears already came up in your eyes as you realised what he was going to chose.

'Are you going to put them above this? Above all of us? Do you have any idea what I've done for you?! Do you have any idea how scared I've been that you were dead?! Do you have any idea how many times I wanted to scream and everyone how much I loved you?! You promised me!'

'So this is about you?' Draco asked.

'You're really going to be like this now?! I'm trying to save your life here.' You said as a tear rolled down your cheek.

At that moment Draco knew he already lost you. He wanted to come to you, but he was too afraid. What If Voldemort would kill him..

'Y/N, I love you and I always will.. but I have to chose for myself.'

'You're just going to be selfish again?!' You said while wiping your cheek.

Draco didn't say anything and he turned around. Ron hurried towards you.

'Draco please.' You cried.

Ron grabbed your wrist. You turned to get him to let you go but he already grabbed your other hand.

'I can't believe you're doing this!' You yelled after him while trying to run over to him.

You wanted to stop him.. so badly. But he already hugged Voldemort.

'I hate you!' You screamed after him, not knowing if you meant it or not.

It hurt Draco a lot to know that he was hurting you.. but he wouldn't let it show. Narcissa looked at you and then at her son. She immediately saw the pain, sadness and regret in his eyes. She immediately grabbed his shoulder and took him out if the crowd.

Ron turned you around and pulled you against your shoulder. Tears or anger, sadness, betrayal and pain streamed down your face. After all you had been through you still weren't important enough.

Ron held you tightly. Hermione joined you two. She tried to comfort you.

'If you love him that much.. why don't you join your boyfriend, you're a Y/L after all.' Voldemort grinned.

You immediately pulled out of the hug and turned to him.

'Never. Never will I bow to you. You're nothing but a loser. A worthless piece of garbage that forced good wizards to turn bad! I hope you're happy with what you have accomplished. With or without Harry, you'll die.. if Harry can't do it, I will personally kill you.'

'Stand back Y/N.' Hermione said to you.

She pulled you back and you decided to just shut up. It was all over anyways..
