Katie bell was cursed... that was a shock. You sighed and sat down in the common room.

'How could that happen?' You sighed.

'I don't know..' Harry sighed. 'Y/N, you've been invited by Slughorn to his party. Are you going?' He asked.

'Oh..  sure.' You smiled. 'Who should I ask?' You sighed.

'I don't know.. I also have no one yet.' Harry sighed. 'Hey.. do you want to go with me?' He asked.

You sighed.

'I don't think Draco will like that.'

'Well.. Draco can't come, can he?' Harry asked.

'I'll ask him.' You sighed. 'But think of someone else before you have to go alone.'

You got up and left the common room. You looked around hoping to find Draco. You saw him coming down the stairs he looked at you.

'I need to.. ask you something.' You whispered.

Draco nodded and he continued walking. You followed him and before you knew it he pulled you into the broom closet.

'Hi.' He smiled.

'Hi.' You blushed and you pressed your lips against his.

You looked at his face. You saw that his skin was pale and he had bags under his eyes. His eyes showed you that he was stressed out. You placed your hand on his cheek.

'Draco.. You don't look good.. I mean.. You're handsome that's not it.. but you look tired. Are you okay?' You asked worried.

He place this hand over yours and worked up a small smile.

'I'm fine, honey.' He said. 'I promise you.'

'Okay.. do you want to go to Slughorns Christmas party with me?' You asked.

Draco looked at you in surprise.

'Erm.. aren't we like.. keeping this secret?' He asked.

Your smile faded when you realised it.

'Yeah.. I'm stupid I should have asked.'

'I get that you ask me. And it's very sweet. I would have said yes.'

You sighed and Draco pulled you in for a hug. You hugged him back and dug your face into his chest.

'I love you.' You mumbled. 'I trust you when you say you're okay.. but if something is wrong, please tell me.'

'I will.' Draco spoke.

You stepped a bit back and kissed him before walking out of the closet. You walked back to the common room and saw that Harry was gone. Maybe you should go alone..

You walked upstairs and saw Hermione sitting on her bed. She had problems with Ron. He was dating Lavender and she was in love with him. You sat down besides her and pulled her against you.

'I'm okay Y/N.'

'I know.' You just said.

You looked at your outfit and sighed. Did you look good enough? Probably. You sighed and Hermione looked up.

'You look amazing, Y/N.' Hermione smiled.

'Thanks.. So do you.'

Hermione was still busy trying to make sure she looked as perfect as she could.

'I'll get going.. I'll see you soon.' You said.

'See you!'

You started walking towards the party. When you entered it was already busy. You saw Harry who brought Luna, Ron and Lavender and some more people you knew. The place was nicely decorated and you saw Slughorn in the distance.

'Drink?'

You turned around and saw Neville. He was startled when he saw you. You smiled lightly and grabbed one.

'Thank you Neville.'

'N-No problem.' He said and he continued.

You looked at Harry and saw him walking towards the curtains.. Hermione was behind there as well. When did she arrive? You hurried over to them and joined them.

'What are you guys doing?' You asked.

'I just asked Hermione..  You look amazing by the way. Who did you bring?' He asked.

'No one..'

'You dressed up for no one?' He asked.

'Guys.. I just escaped.. I mean..  I left Cormac under the mistletoe.'  Hermione said.

'Cormac?! That who you invited?' You asked.

Cormac was a guy that was in love with Hermione. He was an idiot.

'I thought that would annoy Ron the most.'

You sighed and rolled your eyes. 

'He's got more tentacles than a snarfalump plant.'

Then one of the waiters appeared behind the curtains as well.

'Dragon tartare?' He asked.

You shook your head.

'No thank you.. I'm fine.' Hermione said.

'That's fine. They give one a horrible smelling breath.' He grinned.

'On second thoughts.'

Hermione pulled the plate out of his hands and started shoving the tartares into her mouth. You sighed and shook your head.

'I'm gonna go.'

You walked away, back to the party. You saw Luna standing alone and walked over to her.

'Hi Luna.' You smiled.

'Oh..  hi Y/N.' She spoke with her usual dreaming voice. 'Have you seen Harry.'

'He's near the curtains over there with.. Snape?' You said in surprise.

'Okay.. I'm going to him now. Thank you.'

She walked away and you sighed. Right when you wanted to walk to Neville the doors opened. You heard a formilliar growl.. Draco? You turned around and she that he was pulled into the room by mister Filch. Draco was fighting back.

'Get your hands of me you filthy squib!' He hissed.

You looked at him and he looked at you.

'Professor Slughorn sir.. I just discovered this boy, lurking in an upstairs corridor.'

You stepped a bit forwards. People started gathering around and draco looked slightly ashamed.

'He claims to have been invited to your party.'

'Okay! Okay! I was gatecrashing.' Draco hissed. 'Happy?!'

Snape walked towards Draco.

'I'll escort him out.' He spoke slow as ever.

Draco pulled his shoulder back and Filch let him go.

'Certainly.. professor.'

Snape and Draco walked out while Slughorn was trying to get everyone to go back to partying. Harry hurried after them. You grabbed his arm.

'What are you doing?!' You asked.

'I need to check something.' He said.

'I'll come with you.' You said.

'Y/N, I don't think-'

'I. will. come. with. you.' You said.

Harry sighed and the both if you walked into a corridor near the one Draco and Snape were in.

'I didn't hex that Bell girl.' Draco said. 'And even if I did it, what's that to you?!'

You heard shoving and realised the Snape pushed Draco against the wall.

'I swore to protect you!' He whispered and hissed at the same time. 'I made the unbreakable vow!'

'I don't need protection!'

Protection from what.. Did this have to do with Draco's secret?

'I was chosen for this! Out of all others, me!'

You looked at Harry. Chosen? Chosen for what? This was going to far.. He had to tell you. This couldn't be okay.

'I won't fail him!'

'Let me assist you..' Snape said.

'No! I was chosen! This is my moment!'

You heard some sounds and then Draco walked away. Harry got up and looked at you.

'I'm going back..'

'Go.. I'll see you tomorrow.'

Harry wanted to walk away but turned around.

'Are you okay?'

'I know what you're thinking Harry. But I can believe you until he tells me. He would trust me with that secret.. wouldn't he?'

Harry sighed.

'I don't think he would.' Harry spoke before walking away.

You sighed and laid your head back against the wall. Draco couldn't be a death eater.. He couldn't be. He didn't need to be.. You didn't want him to be. It would make dating him even more annoying.

You got up and started walking back to the common room. You couldn't believe that this was happening..
