36 ~ professor Trelawney

You were walking with Harry towards the common room. Your class just ended. DADA... it was such a mess. How were you supposed to pass your OWLS like this?!

When you walked passed the courtyard suddenly lots of students started to gather. More then usual. Harry looked around.

'Cho, w-what's going on?' He asked.

You followed Cho and Harry.

'It's professor Trelawney.' Cho just said.

Everyone had gathered around the courtyard. Poor professor Trelawney stood there, crying with her packed cases. Umbridge in front of her. Did she fire her? Next to you you noticed Ron and Hermione and behind you was Draco.

'Sixteen years I have lived and taught here. Hogwarts is my home.' Trelawney cried. 'You can't do this.'

'Actually I can.' Umbridge spoke while holding up a piece of parchment.

McGonagall squeezed through the crowd and hurried over to Trelawney. She comforted her and Trelawney cried on her shoulder. You moved your hands to your back and grabbed Dracos hand. He stepped a bit closer so no-one could see. You looked at him shortly.

'Is there something you'd like to say dear?' Umbridge asked McGonagall.'

'Oh, there are several things I would like to say.'

Then the doors opened and Dumbledore stepped out. Everyone looked at him.

'Professor McGonagall, might I ask you to escort Sybil back inside?' He asked.

You let Draco go slowly and stepped forwards a bit to see what was going on.

'Sybil, dear. This way.' McGonagall smiled.

Trelawney grabbed Dumbledores hand and thanked him. They walked inside.

'Dumbledore, may I remind you that under the terms of Educational Degree Number 23, as enacted by the minister-'

'You have the right to dismiss my teachers.' Dumbledore finished her sentence. 'You do not , however, have the authority to banish them from the grounds. That power remains with the Headmaster.'

'For now.' Umbridge spoke.

Dumbledore turned around and started walking away.

'Don't you all have studying to do?' He asked.

'Professor!' Harry yelled and he hurried after him.

'Let him be Y/N, let's go to the common room.' Hermione sighed.

'I'll be right there.'

Ron and Hermione walked away, along with the others. The entire courtyard was empty after a while. You sighed and sat down at the fountain.

'Are you okay?'

You looked up and saw Draco. You smiled at him and nodded. He sat down besides you and looked around. He quickly kissed you.

'How dare she. Professor Trelawney is one of the kindest professors around the school. She's just evil. Like a pink evil teletubby.'

Draco looked at you.

'What is a teletubby?' He asked.

You looked at him and grinned.

'Don't ask.'

'I just did.'

'It's a kids show... you know, on TV.'

'And what is a-'

'TV? Just Draco, I'll show you when we're going public with this.' You grinned.

'Alright.' He smiled and he kissed you one more time. 'I have to go. I'll see you soon gorgeous.'

'Bye handsome.'

You also got up and walked back towards the the common room. Hermione and Ron were sitting on the couch. Harry came in shortly after you.

'Well that was interesting.' Ron sighed. 'Bye Professor Trelawney.'

'I hate her.' Hermione sighed.

'Same.' Harry spoke.

'She doesn't have the right to do this! That foul, evil, old gargoyle.' You sighed. 'We're not learning how to defend ourselves, we're not learning how to pass our OWLs... she's take over the entire school.'

The ministry radio was playing. It fell quiet and you listened to it.

Security has been and will remain the ministry 's top priority.

Harry turned up the radio.

Furthermore, we have convincing evidence that these disappearances are the work of notorious mass murderer Sirius Black.

'Harry!' You heard from the fireplace.

'Sirius!'

Harry got up and ran towards the fireplace. You followed him with Hermione and Ron.

'Answering your letter. You said you were worried about Umbridge. What's she doing? Training you to kill half-breeds.'

'She's not letting us use magic at all.' Harry said.

'Well I'm not surprised... the latest intelligence is that Fudge doesn't want you trained in combat.'

'Combat?' Ron asked slightly confused. 'What does he think, we're forming some kind of wizard army?'

'Well we did ask Harry if he could train us.' Hermione spoke. 'Maybe she heard.'

'That's exactly what he thinks, Ron. That Dumbledore is assembling his own forces to take on the Ministry. He's becoming more paranoid by the minute.' Sirius explained. 'The others wouldn't want me telling you this, Harry.  But things aren't going at all well with the Order. Fudge is blocking the truth at every turn and these disappearances are just how it started before. Voldemort is on the move.'

You swallowed and looked at Harry.

'Well, what can we do?' Harry asked.

'Someone's coming. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. But for now at least, it looks like you're on your own.'

Sirius vanished. You sighed and got up. You walked towards the window and looked at the rain.

'He really is out there... isn't he? The one who killed Cedric?'

Hermione laid her hand on your shoulder.

'We've got to be able to defend ourselves, and if Umbridge refuses to teach us how, we need someone who will.'

You both turned to Harry.

'She's talking about you, Harry.' You spoke.

'What? Me? I have to learn you how to defend yourselves?'

'You've fought with Voldemort! You know how it is to battle in real life! Please Harry... for Cedric. For the Order. For your friends.'

Harry looked at you.

'They've got a point mate.' Ron spoke while joining your side.

Harry sighed !and straightened his glasses.

'Alright, I will. But three isn't enough. There are other people who have to learn to protect themselves.'

'We'll fix something.'

-

A few days later, winter arrived. You and Hermione has invited some people to stay and learn how to combat over the few upcoming weeks. You decided to meet at the three broomsticks.

'This is mad! Who'd wanna be taught by me?' Harry asked. 'I'm a nutter, remember?'

'Look on the bright side, you can't be any worse then old toad face.'

You walked through the snow and saw the three broomsticks up ahead.

'Thanks Ron.' Harry sighed.

'I'm here for you mate.'

'Who's supposed to be meeting us then?' Harry asked.

'Just a couple of people.'
