47: Saved

I love you- Billie Eilish

________

Jimin slowly feeds Jungkook the broth of the soup to his trembling lips, making sure to have blown on it before so it wouldn't be too hot going down his dry throat. They haven't exchanged a single word to each other, especially with Yoongi in the room who's staring out the window with a troubling gaze in his eyes.

Everything is silent, but strangely a calming silent.

Not that type that's intense or slightly uncomfortable after tonight's events.

It's just..... Blissfully quiet.

After Jimin got Jungkook out of the cellar, he knew Jungkook needed to be as far away from that house as soon as possible. Since Jimin couldn't drive and Jungkook is in no condition to even move, Jimin dialed the only person he could trust right about now.

The only person that cared enough beside Jimin for Jungkook's well being.

Yoongi.

Jimin dialed the other male through Jungkook's phone that he found on the coffee table, who's number is surprisingly saved down, and after a few impatient rings later, Yoongi finally answered. He was obviously confused and angry since he didn't even bother to look at the contact name to see who called him at this late hour, but the second he heard Jimin's frantic voice through the other line he didn't waste time before driving to Jungkook's address that Jimin managed to stutter out.

It didn't take long before Yoongi arrived to Jungkook's house and he helped Jimin carry the taller into his car. They argued over whether to take him to the hospital or not, especially since Jungkook refused to go there because he said they will likely want to talk to his parents or ask what happened and he can't say anything about it. The argument got so bad that Jungkook even began to cry in anxiety, so they took him to Jimin's house instead to his relief.

Thankfully Jimin's parents were already sleepy  this time around when they arrived. Yoongi and Jimin carried the limp boy up the stairs and laid him down on Jimin's bed carefully, making sure he feels completely comfortable despite the belt lash marks still on his back, hiding underneath his shirt. Jungkook could barely stop shaking by how cold he was, so they wrapped him in a cocoon of blankets to warm him up. Yoongi stayed to ask him the basic questions of 'how he's feeling?' or if 'anything hurts?', meanwhile Jimin made a salad for him first and then ramen for him to eat and leaves the broth to warm him up inside, having to go down the corner store to buy some of this since all he has is vegetables in his kitchen.

Something warm and soothing for his lovely boy.

And that's how they ended up here right now, in this silence as Jungkook painfully eats his ramen until he couldn't eat anymore.

Jimin frowns deeply and glances down at the mostly full bowl of ramen, "You barely ate anything lovely. You need to regain energy."

The taller only winces as he leans back against the pillows, that Yoongi comfortable set for him, and raises up a shaking hand, tenderly caressing Jimin's arm with his thumb, "My stomach is scrunched up from the amount of time without food in my body. Let's take this slow, like baby steps, okay? I'll eat later, I promise. I just need to adjust."

Did he not eat this whole week?

Who would ever starve their own son?

Jimin stares at the ravenette for a moment with sad eyes and then slowly nods understandingly before putting the bowl on the nightstand, and that's when Yoongi turns around to look at the injured boy on the bed, "How are you feeling?"

For a moment Jungkook didn't respond back, only breathes heavily and makeshifts a weak smile, "Like if I've been living in a ice cubical for a whole year, but definitely better now. My body just aches."

Jimin only takes his hand from his arm and gently caresses his knuckles tenderly, "This whole week... You were just left locked up in there? Why?"

Jungkook fixes his eyes to his worried lover and lets out a heavy sigh, "That's my father's way of punishment for not receiving good grades."

Wait what?

Jungkook with bad grades?

Jungkook got ranked one of the top students for receiving the best scores in the exams and for getting good grades for this semester, along with Jimin as well.

He shouldn't have gotten punished for his hard work.

"For not receiving good grades?" Yoongi questions bewildered with arms crossed, "You got better grades than me and all your little group of fake friends."

Jimin snaps his head to the platinum haired boy, sending him a stealthy glare to signal him to hold his tongue.

Right now his friends that shouldn't be any of Jungkook's concerns as he's healing up, it will only stress him out even more, or worse.

Yoongi's words made Jungkook slightly get defensive as he furrows his eyebrows at him, annoyedly, "Hey don't call them fake-"

"Let's just all get some rest, yeah? It's been a long night," Jimin interjects calmly with a forced smile as he raises the blanket to Jungkook's chest, "Get some sleep lovely, you need the most rest now, Okay? You're safe.... I promise."

He needs to focus on himself, the topic of his so called friends can wait.

Jungkook only stares at Jimin with his gaze softening from it's previous glare and he slowly nods, letting Jimin tuck him into bed, "You will sleep with me right? You don't have to go to the floor or the couch."

The small brunette only smiles down at him and nods, "Of course, I'm just walk Yoongi out, okay?"

And just like that Jungkook nods gently and  turns to his side, delicately letting his eyes fall close.

Yoongi suddenly frowns at the wounded boy, feeling his heart tug in ache to the thought of this being Jungkook's conditions for the past week and nobody knew about it. He knew something was going on, and always talked to Jimin to have that hope that there's something more going on, since Jungkook wouldn't just abandon him out of no where.

Now Yoongi is just mad that he couldn't detect Jungkook's abusive household before time. He's been trying to protect and encourage the couple for so long since they got together; to be someone they can lean on without a doubt as they go through their obstacles in life. They both suffer from doubt, depression and pain, and strangely despite that they still hold onto that love they have for each other, that's why Yoongi believes in them. What amazes him is despite Jimin's own self doubts and loneliness that has crawled into his mind forcefully during these fragile times, he held onto something that truly made him happy.

That made it all go away.

And that is his love for Jungkook.

Without Jungkook, Jimin wouldn't even be here right now.

And slowly he's gaining strength and self love for himself, all because of his lovely boy.

Without Jungkook now, after Jimin has grasped a glimpse of how happiness truly feels like, he would rather die than live his life without happiness.

A happiness that only Jungkook can give to him.

Forever.

Yoongi smiles softly, feeling himself slowly reach his own personal goal that will remain a secret in the hidden layers of his soul, and he leans his hand to caress Jungkook's hair soothingly, instantly calming the taller down as he falls into a deep sleep on the bed. The two awake males only stares at the sleeping boy with a mixture of pity yet of relief, feeling at ease that he's okay now with them.

Once he feels better, Jimin will be sure to try to get him to talk more about this situation he's going through with his family.

It's ridiculous that his father would do something like this, and it can't just keep going on any longer.

After a while of the two just staring at him, they walk out of the room and down the stairs.

And then Yoongi breaks the silence, "Gosh I'm so pissed at his little golden boys," he mutters annoyedly as they reach the front door, "Jungkook literally just met us for less than a year and we are more reliable than the people he's known for mostly all his life."

As sad as it is, it does seem like that. Jungkook wouldn't even open up to them about how he's been fighting with depression and suicidal thoughts for years, yet he trusts Jimin about it. Willingly. Even though now Taehyung knows about it, what is he doing with that information? Nothing, clearly, and that's what pissing Yoongi off the most. The small male saw he cuts and noticed the signs that he tried to hide while he was with Jimin, and he has been more supportive than any of his friends, without Jungkook being aware that he knows about it. Jimin is also on the same boat as him, finding this situation insanely hard to process as well, but he'd rather not worry about them and just worry about Jungkook.

All he cares about is if Jungkook is okay.

For his bruises to heal.

For his energy to be regained.

To be able to smile once again.

His entire focus is to make sure his lovely is in better conditions than how he is now.

His friends didn't worry about Jungkook and what type of messed up friendship is that? So Jimin swore to himself at that same second to always trust his instincts and his heart, to not turn out like them, ever.

They weren't there for him as well, during the week that he was alone, only Yoongi, and he knows if Jungkook found out about that then he would be very upset since it just shows that they don't care about Jimin after all.

Jimin doesn't care about that, not like it's the first time that has happened. All he cares is how they were with the topic of Jungkook, and that's what hurts and angers Jimin the most.

"Yeah I know," Jimin murmurs as he opens the front door, "But don't push it onto him a lot. He literally just got out of that place tonight and what he will need is a lot of support and time to recover, okay?"

Yoongi steps out to the cool air outside, sinking in Jimin's words deep in his soul before turning around to face him, "You can count on me for any help, but he's going to need you the most right now, so you gotta be strong," Yoongi says, suddenly smiling softly as he goes and pinches Jimin's cheek, "Okay, little one?"

Softly Jimin smiles back to him and nods gratefully, "Thank you, I really appreciate you being our little guardian angel."

Guardian angel?

Wow..... That sounds.... Beautiful actually.

Yoongi's smile suddenly twitches wider and his eyes nearly glowed in complete and utter happiness.

Guardian angel...... He's their guardian angel..

"Well..... It's my job to make sure that those that I care about is being well taken care of and are happy, always.... That's what friends are for right?" He says with a wink as he walks down the steps and swings the keys of his car out of the pocket of his jeans, "I'm stop by tomorrow tonight, keep me updated through Jungkook's phone how he's doing."

Jimin watches with a warm feeling in his heart as the platinum haired male gets into his car and drives away, leaving him to feel completely grateful to have someone like him in his life as he goes back inside and closes the door.

Yoongi is the literal guardian angel of their relationship, and Jimin will always be so thankful for having a kind and pure hearted friend like him in his life.

Not only him, but Jungkook is also very thankful for him as well, he has always mentioned it before since he would sometimes ask Yoongi for some advice.

Yoongi is a true friend, that they both have grown to care about in this short amount of time that they met him.

The smaller boy slowly walks up the stairs and goes into his room, instantly noticing how Jungkook is in entirely different clothes now. His hair is moist as it dries up and he's wearing one of his t-shirts that he usually leaves here just in case when he stays the night. He's curled up to a pillow on the bed, breathing heavily as he sleeps.

He must've had enough energy to take a shower while Jimin spoke to Yoongi down stairs.

That's something Jimin really admires about Jungkook, it's the fact that he doesn't give up, to anything.

He could be going through a midlife crisis or a horrible mental break down, but he will always be striving through it all.

Fighting through the pain.

Jimin wishes he can be like that sometimes, to be strong willed, but he's still wobbling around his strength and inner conscious. One day he knows that he will be as strong as his beautiful lover.

Jungkook is Jimin's inspiration, and nothing will ever change his mind about that.

So with that thought toiling his head, Jimin couldn't stop smiling as he changes into his pajamas and crawls next to Jungkook on the bed, wrapping his thin arms carefully around his large body from behind.

Jungkook instantly snuggles back against Jimin and sighs heavily, "You must've been so scared this past week..... I'm sorry if I worried you."

So he is awake.

The brunette let's out a soft sigh and he presses a kiss on Jungkook's shoulder blade, "I was scared that something may have happened to you. I was scared that you might not want to be with me anymore. I was terrified that I might never seen you again. I was scared when everyone picked on me when you weren't around. I thought I was going insane, especially by how everyone made it seem like you were perfectly okay after that text, in which I'm sure it wasn't you, but it did hit my doubts and I should be apologizing to you for not investigating sooner."

Jungkook tenses up and suddenly turns around, able to make out Jimin's face despite the darkness of the room and he carefully caresses the skin on his cheek with furrows eyebrows, "I wouldn't blame you for thinking the way you did, you had every right to. I probably would've too if you just suddenly disappeared out of no where, but despite all of those worries, you didn't give up on me, that means something inside you must've brushed that doubt away and held onto hope," he whispers lowly and then smiles, "I'm proud of you, for being strong and not letting your little demons take too much control."

Instantly Jimin began to feel guilty as the mural of scars on his arms and torso lay there as witnesses to his fall out with his own battle, but in a way Jungkook is right.

Jimin didn't give up, and he found him.

And now Jungkook is here with him, away from the terrors of that house for now.

"Well.... You mean a lot to me, obviously," Jimin murmurs and interlaces their hands, "So much more than you think. Your love is undoubtable."

"My love is undoubtable? Baby, you give yourself far too little credit," Jungkook continues to praise fondly and slowly leans, pressing a meaningful kiss on Jimin's forehead while discreetly sliding his hands down to Jimin's wrists.

Instantly Jimin tenses up as he feels Jungkook's hands touch the soft fabric of the smaller's scars being wrapped up, and his hands continue to travel down under Jimin's shirt to his torso, also feeling the gauze around his body.

Jungkook knew, of course he did. He noticed how Jimin would sometimes wince or flinch in pain whenever he would stand or do a specific movement with his body.

And that only pained Jimin's heart even more.

Instantly the small angel began to tear up, "I wasn't strong enough," he whimpers and burries his face against Jungkook's chest, "T-The thoughts became too much and I missed you so much that I-"

"Hey baby don't cry," Jungkook coes as Jimin breaks down against his chest, his body now shaking from the sobs, "Jimin.... You're still here.... You're still.... Breathing and alive. Despite the trouble you went through this week, you fought through it all on your own, you did that. You know what I think?"

The small boy looks up with pouted lips and blotchy teary eyes, "W-What?"

Jungkook stares down at him and kisses his tears away, "You are a warrior. A fighter.... Now you just need to keep fighting baby, to be alive.... For me. Like how I fought for you while I was locked up. Even if I'm not physically there, I need you to know your value and be my warrior through the storm... You made it through the other side now, despite your battle scars. And now... We both need time to heal."

The words completely brushed away every single negative thought into Jimin's mind, not knowing these were the words he needed to hear in order to stitch back the pieces of his heart once again.

They both fought their own battles, and they won.

They're still here, and alive.

And their strength...... It was each other.

So Jimin leans forward and presses their lips together, just giving the boy he loves with all his heart a simple peck, but it meant the world to both of them.

It means that they won this war, this obstacle with their own demons, and now they will stand by together strong to face many more ahead.

And Jimin feels more ready than ever before to be Jungkook's warrior.

He won't let him down.

Just like how Jungkook is Jimin's inspiration, he is Jungkook's inspiration.

And together, they make one hell of a perfect team.

Jungkook pulls away from the kiss and nuzzles their foreheads together, "You are the best blessing I've had in my life Park Jimin, I adore you so much my angel."

Jimin smiles widely but then furrows his eyebrows, "I thought you don't believe in God, blessings are kinda included in that, you know."

"I still don't believe in him," Jungkook chirps with a slight chuckle, "Doesn't mean you still wouldn't be a blessing through my eyes."

"But a blessing-"

"Wow look at the time, sleep sounds really great right about now," Jungkook instantly yanks Jimin to his chest and wraps his strong arms around him, making the smaller boy chuckle adoringly as he takes in Jungkook's fresh scent from his shower.

Jimin is back home.

Back with his Jungkook.

So Jimin closes his eyes and genuinely smiles against his skin, "You are the best blessing I have in my life too, Jeon Jungkook."
