Untitled Part 10
TRIS POV
I wake up the next morning to the nurse coming in. "Hello. I was just checking on you. I also wanted to let you know that you are being discharged tonight." I nod. "Alright thanks you." She leaves and I turn over to see Tobias staring at me. "It's rude to stare." "I'm sorry I can't help it." I smile and he walks over to kiss me. "Help me up, their discharging me later, I need a shower. After my shower and I get dressed we head out to sign my discharge papers. When everything is signed we head to the car and drive off. After a few minutes I notice we are heading in the opposite direction of Tobias' house. "Where are you taking me? " "It's a surprise. Now get the blind fold out of the glove compartment and put it on." I sigh and put it on. A few minutes later I feel the truck stop and Tobias come to my side and pick me up bridal style. "Okay we are here." He walks forward a little bit more before I hear a door open and I am set down. He slowly takes off the blind fold and I am met with a gorgeous three story mansion. "Oh my god what is this place?" Tobias smiles and the gang walks in. "This is our new house." He tells me while gesturing to everyone. "How could yall even afford this place? It's huge!" Zeke steps forward. "Let's just say that my parents would do anything to get us out of the house at this point." I laugh. "I can see why." He rolls his eyes. "Alright enough let's go look around." Tobias grabs my hand and pulls me up to the third floor. He stops in front of a door that is painted a light gold. We walk in and I see a beautiful bed room. I look around and the colors are mint green with gold, there are fairy lights everywhere, and bathroom, walk in closet, and a balcony that looks over a little garden. I walk over to the bed and see the words Forever and Always above it. "This room is beautiful." "I'm glad you like it, I had Chris pick everything out." I laugh. "It's perfect. I'll have to thank her later. ""There's one more surprise." He grabs my hand and takes me to the back of the closet. I notice a door in the back and open it. Inside I see a recording booth. I gasp and turn to Tobias. "I know how much you love to write songs so I thought you would want somewhere to work on them and record them." I wrap my arms around his. "Thank you." He smiles and we walk out to look at the rest of the house. When we finish we walk into the living room and see everyone sitting around with sponge bob on. "Really guys sponge bob." They all groan and point to Uriah. "He made us." Marlene says. I nod and jump over the back of the couch landing on the empty seat while Tobias sits on the floor in front of me. "How do you like the house?" Christina asks. "I love it." "Good." After a while Uriah starts complaining about how he is hungry. I roll my eyes and head to the kitchen to start on something. After looking at what we have I decide to make them handmade pizza with cheese, pepperonis, and sausage. I mix the dough and start to cook the sausage.
~~~~~~~~~Pizzas are done~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I set out everyone's pizzas and grab myself a small apple. I walk into the living room and tell them dinner is ready. They come sit and start eating while pick at my apple. "Tris this is amazing. Where did you learn to cook like this?" Uriah asks. I look at my apple when all of a sudden I hear a 'Whack!' I look up to see Uriah rubbing the side of his face while Tobias has a smug look on his face. "I learned the basics from my mom, but after she died I had to start cooking more than just mac'n cheese or sandwiches. So I would read different cook books and work on recipes for Andrew." Uriah looks down. "Oh." I shrug and get up to throw the rest of my apple away. I walk upstairs and grab my song book heading into the recording booth. I flip around the book and decided to record a song called 'Blown away'. I mess around with the sound board until I find a sound I like. When everything is picked out I walk into the booth and start to sing.
Dry lightning cracks across the skies
Those storm clouds gather in her eyes
Her daddy was a mean old mister
Mama was an angel in the ground
The weather man called for a twister
She prayed blow it down
There's not enough rain in Oklahoma
To wash the sins out of that house
There's not enough wind in Oklahoma
To rip the nails out of the past
[Chorus:]
Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away,
Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away
'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday
Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,
Blown away
She heard those sirens screaming out
Her daddy laid there passed out on the couch
She locked herself in the cellar
Listened to the screaming of the wind
Some people call it taking shelter
She called it sweet revenge
[Chorus:]
Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away,
Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away
'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday
Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,
Blown away
There's not enough rain in Oklahoma
To wash the sins out of that house
There's not enough wind in Oklahoma
To rip the nails out of the past
Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away (blown away)
Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away (blown away)
'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday (blown away)
Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,
Blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away.
I finish and hear a whole bunch of clapping. I look up and see everyone sitting on the couches listing. I smile and walk out. I sit by Tobias and he pulls me into his lap. I snuggle deeper into his chest and smile. For the rest of the night we talk and make joke, laughing till our side hurt.
