Avneet opened her eyes slowly as she felt some waterdroplets on her face. She heard faint voice of Siddharth... "Avi are you ok? Avi? Can you hear me? Are you ok?" His voice filled with concern but lacked empathy!

She realised she was in his room on his bed and everyone were there standing there concerned for her. She again saw that familiar face of 'Abhishek Nigam'.

Before she says anything she felt Siddharth's arms around her... He hugged her.

"I was so worried about you... How are you feeling?" He asked slightly caressing her hair.

"I am okay" she mumbled in low voice.

"That's a relief! You should take care of yourself dear... We were so worried! Vaishu go and make some juice for Avneet, she will feel better!" Vibha Aunty said slightly brushing her hand through Avneet's hair.

"No it's ok, Thank you mom! But, I am fine now..." she said. "Bhabhi please don't..." Avneet tried to stop her.

"Avneet are you sure you are ok? You are sweating!" Abhishek asked.

Avneet was confused if Abhi really didn't recognize her or he was just acting. Either way she had to be careful her dark secret could be revealed in front of Siddharth anytime! She didn't knew how will he react if he ever gets to know...

"Siddhu you should go... You had some online meeting right?" Abhishek reminded Siddharth.

"Oh yes... Bhavesh... na I told him to cancel everything, but that idiot forgot about this foreign deal. Anyways, baby take care okay! I will be in my work room if you need anything just call me..." He said and kissed her forehead before running out without giving her time to respond.

"Mom you should rest too... You must be tired. I am really fine. I am so sorry for making you all worried!" Avneet said reassuring everyone.

"Avneet why are you apologizing? It's not your fault! It happens sometimes in this state. You should take care okay?!" Vibha mom said.

Avneet nodded.

"We should let Avneet rest for a while... Vaishu, mom you both should rest too we had a long flight you must be tired! I have some work I will be back soon!" Abhishek said before going out. Mom and Vaishu sat there for a while and then both went to their rooms.

Avneet's whole world was shattering thinking about what will happen next! She was scared what if everything gets revealed just like that...

"I never expected to see you again, definitely not as my sister-in- law!" Avneet got startled hearing the familiar voice. She got up with jerk as she saw Abhishek with glass of juice in his hand.

"Mr. Nigam... I really had no idea..." Avneet tried to explain her side. Abhishek walks towards the bed and placed the glass on the table.

"Is your and Siddharth's relationship like that too... I mean BD...?" Abhishek tried to ask but Avneet got more scared.

"No... No... Siddharth doesn't even knows anything about that! He doesn't know anything..." She lowered her voice and looked down before replying.

"Do you really love my brother or is it just lust?" He asked blankly

If he asked her that few years ago she would have had to lie but now... "I really love him! I love him more than I have ever imagined I will fall in love with anyone!" She replied without hesitation.

The furrows on Abhishek's brow were telling he didn't believe her.

"Does he know you know me?" He asked

"I... I didn't you were related to him... He told me about you but I never connected the dots!" She said as a lone tear escaped her eye.

Abhishek's face lacked emotions... She didn't know what to say! Maybe he was scared for his brother if she will hurt him... But little did he know she already hurt him more than he could imagine!

"Mr. Nigam please believe me I am changed now... I really regret the shit I did before. I know I can't change anything, but I promise nothing will happen like that ever again." She tried to assure Abhishek... But to him these words meant nothing.

"Please don't tell Sid how we know each other! He knows nothing about that... If he will hear it from you... No no.. please don't tell him. I know you don't believe me, but Please try to understand... I will tell him everything if you want... but please just give me some time, I...I will tell him everything." Avneet begs to Abhishek. 

"No, you don't have to tell him yet, He has already gone through enough in his life. After his mom and dad's betrayal... he has stopped believing in love, I don't want him to feel broken again... if you will break his trust he won't able to live... So don't tell him anything about your past which ever makes him doubt you... I won't let anyone hurt him... He deserves a happy life with the one he loves...

 If I ever feel like you will hurt him or break his trust... I will kill you." Ahishek says with almost teary eyes but still filled with rage.

Chills ran down her spine... the rage and anger in his voice told her that he was disgusted by her... maybe she was disgusted by herself too...

"He will never get to know anything about us nor about my past." Avneet said wiping her tears.

Abhishek walks out of room. Avneet falls on bed devastated... How did her life turned out like this? She asked herself... Why did she ever try to betray person like Siddharth who loved her more than anything? Why didn't her conscience stop her from hurting him like that knowing his past and how broken he was!

Did she even have right to stop him from punishing her or torturing her anymore? She should just give in to him and let him do whatever he wants to her... or... or she... she should just die? She asked herself...

"Why was Abhi bhai here? Do you know my brother?" She heard Siddharth's voice...

"What? No... How... How would I know him?" She stuttered but still managed to lie.

"Then why was he in our room just now?" He asked locking his eyes into hers.

"oh... he was just here to give me juice Vaishu bhabhi made..." Avneet replied... but her voice lacked that confidence. It was hard for her to lie looking into his eyes like that!

How did she tell him so many lies in past without getting caught? She never felt this uneasiness she feels now when she looks into his eyes... She never thought day would come when she will feel like this for anyone!

"Are you hiding something from me, baby?" Siddharth asked in low voice but in dangerous tone as he came closer to her.

"I...I...I..." He grabbed her wrist tightly and pulled her closer to him making her more nervous.

"So tell me, what are you hiding Avneet?" He asks again... but his voice was more deeper this time. she couldn't stop her tears as he was holding her too tightly.

"No...Nothing..." She said trying to free herself from his tight hold.

"You are lying... You won't tell me right? Then let me guess... you slept with him or were in relationship with him or did you cheated on him too... or worse rape..." Before he could complete his sentence Avneet snatched her hand away and slapped him. Her eyes were filled with tears and anger at same time.

Siddharth wiped corner of his lips with his thumb as he felt metallic liquid... His eyes were red with rage... He hated her!

"How fucking dare you?" He growls in anger and grabs her hair pulling them as hard he could.

"Why do you always think worst about me? Atleast have a shame before talking about your own brother like that! Fine I get it... You hate me, you can't trust me... If you want to hurt me so much, then just kill me! I can't do it anymore! I can't live anymore... It hurts... It hurts so damn much! Just kill me... just let me die!" She cries, her inner thoughts which she kept buried inside her for so long finally came on her lips... She wanted to end her pain... She wanted to end herself!

He was in shock! It was too random... He didn't even do anything right now... Then what happened to her suddenly? 

He felt a pang in his heart seeing her broken like that... His hold on her hair loosens but she falls on her knees... She was done with her life!

"You want to die?  Fine... Take this and kill yourself..." He make her stand and gave a knife in her hand... She looks at him with blurry vision. "Go ahead... cut your wrist and get it over with, Don't worry no one will try to save you... Come on baby, you want to die right? Then kill yourself... I want to see you die... Cut your fuckin wrist!' He slammed her against the wall and caged her between his hands. Avneet looked in his eyes with her blurry vision! He was serious...

She holds knife with her shaky hand and brings it closer to her wrist... She shut her eyes in fear. Her breaths were heavy... She was scared but still determined! She really wanted to free herself from that pain and guilt...

"shhh... Take deep breath first... calm down!" He says in his husky voice... he holds her shaky hand and placed knife near her wrist... "Now do it..." He says as she looks in his eyes again. 

She didn't realize when her hand moved and she cuts her own wrist looking right in his eyes. She felt pain, but pain she had in her heart was much more than this. She finally took the step she was scared of taking before... "Thank you!" she mutters without breaking eye contact with him. A lone tear left his eye when he saw a faint smile creeping on her lips...

She grabbed his collar and pulled him towards her... His grip tightens on her waist when she pulled him in a kiss without realizing. He kissed her back hesitantly.

He picks her up in bridal style and takes her to bed making her lie down.

"Where are you going?" She asks when he was about to leave her there. she started feeling dizzy and her hold on his wrist loosens. He takes his hand off and places her bleeding wrist on the bed carefully. 

"I will be back, love..." He kisses her forehead as Avneet closes her eyes hoping to never open them again.
