Avneet got out of his office thinking whatever happened in the office. For a second she forgot she had to meet Reem and know about her parents well being. A lone tear escaped her eye but she quickly wiped it and put on a smile as she saw someone coming.

“Congratulations Ma'am, Have a happy married life.” Priya, one of employees wished her.

“Thank You.” She said with a smile.

Happy Married Life! She laughed at irony.

“Excuse me, I need to go to washroom.” Avneet said and went to washroom, as that was only place where she could actually cry.

‘Avneet calm down... This is not time to fall weak. You have to be strong, you have to keep your family safe. Siddharth is really really angry at you and it is not time to piss him off in any way. He can kill anyone at this point. Just do whatever he says... You can make everything right Maybe. Just be strong and endure for your family.’ Avneet said looking at herself in mirror. She was looking miserable due to smudged mascara because of crying. She wiped her tears and fixed her makeup.

She looked at herself in eyes and determined that she won't let anything happen to her family even if it means that she has to lose her self esteem and dignity to him.

She got out but she suddenly bumped into someone, even though she managed to balance with wall her T-shirt torn apart from backside as it got stuck with iron nail.

“Avneet...” Reem said in low voice.

The pain of being betrayed could be seen in her eyes.

“I am sorry..” Avneet said.

“Why? Why would you do that? Your family has always supported you, they never even stopped you from anything, Uncle is so open minded. Why would you run away with someone without even trying to convince your family! Do you even know how much Aunty was crying and how dissapointed uncle was! Jai is so angry... If he ever saw Siddharth in front of him consider him dead. I don't understand how can you do that? You were always a perfect daughter, you were someone I looked up to... But... Why? Why Avneet?” Reem asked, she was almost crying. Avneet didn't knew how to reply this. She already expected this questions but she still didn't knew how to answer them.

“I am really sorry... I was so s...s... S.. scared... I... I.. Didn't kk..k... Knew what to do! How to tell... I am sorry...” Avneet stuttered as she started crying.

Reem noticed something weird when Avneet stuttered.

“You are lying right! There is something you are still not telling! You never stutter like this. Avneet please tell if there is something wrong! I don't believe that you can do that, there is definitely something more about it. See I am your friend and if there is something wrong tell me, I will always support you. Did he forced you?”

“No... He is really good person Reem. He takes care of me very much. I lo...lo... Love him Reem. He loves.....” Avneet couldn't say anything further.

“Really? Than why are these marks on your back like were tortured. Tell me Avneet? Who the hell did this to you? If not him than who? He forced you to marry him right? Avu I asked who fuckin did this?” Reem asked me as she saw my scars. I quickly tried to hide them but no use.

“Reem it's really nothing, it is just allergic reactions.” Avneet lied.

“It was Mr. Nigam right? He abused and forced you to marry him right? I won't leave that bastard. He have to suffer for doing this to my best friend and Avneet I don't understand why are you trying to save him... Did he threatened you about something?” Reem asked holding Avneet's shoulder.

Avneet was so scared ‘if Siddharth gets to know that Reem knows... He will kill her... No... I can't let that happen.’ Avneet thought.

“Reem, Please listen to me... It was not Sid just believe me. It was not him. He loves me he would never do that.” I tried to convince her.

“Really? Than why did you marry him overnight Avneet? And don't give me that bullshit about love and all. Cuz I know if it was love you would've told Uncle first about it. Mr. Nigam was behaving suspicious since he came. I had that bad feeling since he asked you to court him in party. And I don't believe you that he is not behind this.” Reem said.

“Reem really, Siddharth... Didn't do anything. I was the one who gave idea of Running away. And this marks are nothing its just allergic reactions.” Avneet said.

“I don't understand why are you defending him Avneet... But you don't have to be scared. Let's do a police complain. We will ask for special security if you are too scared Avneet. I can't let that bastard torture you like this. I will...” Reem said...

“Reem please.. Please... Please try to understand he didn't... He really...” Avneet couldn't say anymore, she almost fell on her knees thinking how wrong everything was going. ‘If Siddharth get know’ that was the only thing her mind. Her entire body started shaking with the thought of Sid doing something to Reem.

“Avneet... Are you OK? Avneet... Please what happened? Calm down please. Why are you so scared of him... I am sorry OK! Fine I won't do anything... Just calm down. Please.” Reem said as she saw Avneet in that condition. She was almost having panic attack.

“Promise me you won't do anything stupid.” Avneet said.

“I can't promise Avneet, I can't stand him doing this to my friend. Look at you, what he did to my friend you are having panic attack... Your back in full of scars... You are still defending him and asking me to do nothing about it.” Reem said.

“Reem please... He will kill everyone... He will kill you...” Avneet literally begged.

“Fine... But... First get up.” She said and helped her getting up and gave her Shawl to cover and took Avneet to her office.

“Mr. Siddharth Nigam...  How dare you hurt my friend! No one can stop you from going to jail... ” Reem said to herself.
