Saba's POV
"Why did you get into a relationship with me when you were already married? What had I done to you? " I ask him, tears fail to define the pain I feel in my heart.
"I'm obsessed with you! Don't you see that, Saba? I feel hungry for you since the night I saw you at Lisa's house. I wanted to get you in my car and bring you straight here! But obviously you would create a scene then, so I made a plan. I planned to first get your trust, then build a desire in your heart to get close to me and then bring you here. And do whatever I want with you. " his lips post a wicked smile.
It doesn't take me a minute to slap him hard on his face. Twice. He stares me in the eye. "You arrogant son of a bitch! " I shout at him and he laughs.
"I've been called worse. " he says and push me against the wall, his lips catch mine in a forceful manner. I try to push him away but he holds my hands tightly in his, he bites my lower lip hard making it bleed. "Stop!" I cry out but he doesn't care.
It takes him less than a minute to tear my clothes apart and attack my body like a predator. Tears fall down my eyes, my world falls apart as he pushes me down on the floor and remove my panties. I scream out loud and try to push him away with my legs.
"Danish, stop! What are you doing! " his wife tries to push him away from me but he slaps her hard on her face. Her child see his mother fall on the floor and cries. "Back off Zoya! " Danish says and suddenly I feel something hard entering my body through my vagina. A cry escapes my mouth, the pain it gives is felt by my entire body.
"Let me go!! Somebody please call the cops! Please, he's raping me! Aaah!! " Danish laughs at me and slaps my face then hold it hard by my hair.
"That's the point of bringing you here. You scream and no one listens."
"No!" I hear myself scream as my eyes pop open after having that scary nightmare. I am getting them often lately. I sigh wiping the sweat off my forehead and take deep breaths to relax myself. It was a nightmare, Saba. I tell myself and sit up. I look around the room and come to realize that it's just 3:00 a.m in the morning. Rubbing my eyes, I get out of my room and walk straight into my mom's bedroom.
"Saba... you okay dear?" My mother asks me when she feels my arm around her in her sleep.
"Scared..." I reply slowly and hide my face in her back.
"I'm here, dear.. sleep well." She rubs my arm and within a minute I'm falling back to sleep. This time it's a peaceful one.

Nothing. Even after wasting an hour on applying this branded makeup nonsense, I still look the same. The only difference is that I have curled my hair instead of keeping them straight. "Its okay that way. Haya is not coming all the way from Turkey to notice my makeup." I tell myself.
"Saba! Zain is here to pick you up!" My mom calls out from downstairs.
"I'll be right there!" I reply loudly and glance at my reflection in the mirror for the last time. My black embroided kurti and white skinnies look perfect for the occasion. The liner I've applied makes my eyes look slightly bigger than they actually are. And light-red lips make me look cute. I turn around to pick my purse from the table and leave my room immediately.
Zain and my mother are waiting for me in the lounge. I don't know why my heart beats faster everytime I see the sight of him. It's like just looking at his face assures me that I am going to have a good day. I smile when Zain stands up and brings out his hand to shake mine.
"Hello.." I greet and shake his hand.
"Hi..." he replies softly and looks at my mother and then me, "shall we?" He asks and I nod.
My mom walks us out and smiles, "Have fun kids." She says.
I smile at my mother and get in Zain's car. "Has she arrived?" I ask him as he gets inside.
"Nope. Her flight delayed for two hours from Dubai." He replies and fastens his seatbelt. "So, I decided to pick you up and then we both will go to the airport to receive her." He smiles.
"Oh I see..."
"Yeah..."
We start our ride quietly, until I find a small transparent bag full of black pepper. I pick it up and look at Zain, "Why do you keep these in your car?"
"If I tell you, you'll laugh.." he smiles at me.
"Try me." I smirk at him.
"Self defense."
I look again at the bag and then at Zain who is trying to hide his beautiful smile that melts my heart.
"This? For self defense?" I ask in confusion.
"Yeah... there's a lot of snatching and hypnotizing these days so... I keep it for self defense. I can just throw it all in the eyes of the snatcher and run away." He explains.
"Wow. That's brilliant actually." I laugh.
"See! I knew you would laugh!"
"No!" I can barely stop laughing, "I mean it's a really good idea for revenge."
"I know right!" He replies, feeling proud of himself. "By the way, you look beautiful today."
His words take me on cloud nine and I realize my hour on makeup wasn't wasted. "Thank you.." I smile at him as he parks the car in the parking lot. We both walk towards the Jinnah International Airport in silence.
As we approach there, we watch many families waiting for their loved ones to arrive. Zain and I join the crowd and wait for Haya to arrive. "The flight is on time." Zain tells me and I nod.
After a few seconds I realize Zain staring at me as if he wants to say something. "What?" I ask in confusion.
"Uhh... you've got something in your hair.." he points out to my hair.
I move my hand over my hair but nothing comes in my hand. Zain takes a step towards me and pulls out a piece of tissue paper from my hair. "There." He says and throws it in the bin.
"Thanks..." I say slowly when Zain looks at me deep in the eyes. For a moment I feel like we're somewhere else. Just me and him. I feel like I can look at him like that the whole day. I want to store every single moment I spend with him in my heart as a memory.
"HELLO???" Haya's voice makes us both jump out of our thoughts and we both turn to see Haya and Hamad approaching towards us.
"Hey!!!" I exclaim and rush towards my best friend. I hug her tightly feeling so excited to have her back.
Haya turns and pulls Zain in a hug. "How you been brother?" She asks.
"All well, what about you?" Zain asks her back and shakes hand with Hamad who looks a bit tired but happy.
"How was the flight?" I ask her as the four of us load the luggage on the trolley and start walking towards our car. "SUPERB!!!" Haya replies loudly with a laugh.
"Obviously it had to be superb! She slept the entire time." Hamad laughs from behind.
"I didn't sleep for the whole day before we left for Pakistan! Tell her that as well!" Haya answers back with a smirk.
"Don't worry, let's go home and get fresh. Then you both will eat and sleep." I say.
"Yeah man! I missed my room so much!" Haya exclaims.
"And I missed you." I tell her with a smile.
Her expression doesn't change a bit but I know she's mad at me for not replying to her messages. "No. I missed you. You were too busy to even talk to me." She complains and looks outside the window.
"Zain looks at me through the mirror on the front but I turn my gaze at Haya. "I'm really sorry...." I apologize.
"Apology granted." She replies and we both laugh.
"So, how was your trip?" I ask her.
"It was awesome! I mean you should definitely visit Turkey! It's a beautiful place! Especially Istanbul!"
"Someday!" I hear my voice colliding with Zain's and then there's awkward silence in the car. I look outside my window to distract myself from Zain's thoughts.
When our car enters The Hassan Khan residence I see all the family members waiting on the porch to greet Haya and Hamad. Haya runs outside and hugs Mr. Hassan right away. Her dad kisses her forehead and smiles brightly at her, then hugs Hamad and take them inside the house.
How beautiful it feels to have your father waiting for you with open arms when you come home.. it's like you have a hero by your side.. the one who is there to appreciate your good deeds and fight against the bad that happens to you... I haven't been through any of these so I don't know what it feels like, but the way Mr. Hassan's face is glowing at the moment, I'm sure it feels really good.
"Come inside, Saba.." Mrs. Hassan calls out to me and I walk in. The house is all clean and tidy like always. Everyone is busy doing something. Before Haya got married I would just come here and walk straight to Haya's room. But now she has a husband to share her room with. So I sit in the lounge and wait for someone to show up.
"Would you like some water ma'am?" Zain asks right after he enters the lounge with a glass of water in his hands.
"Thanks." I say and drink it. "You don't have to call me ma'am.."
"Then what should I call you?" He teases with a smile and takes a seat next to me.
"Anything but ma'am." I reply shyly.
"There's nothing good about calling you ma'am Saba.." he whispers close to me. "What feels good is the way you blush when I call you that..."
I feel like the most shy person on earth. How does he do that? Make me shiver from head to toe with just one sentence.
"You're not gonna kiss me again, are you?" I ask him slowly.
"No. Not here." He replies shortly.
"Not anywhere." I correct him. I really don't want anyone to think we've got this far. At least not until Haya knows about us.
"Your answer doesn't match with what your eyes are telling me." He takes a step closer to me. Zain can flirt, I never knew that.
"You're very good at flirting!" I say and laugh.
"Thanks..." he plants a soft kiss on my cheeks and stands up to leave when our eyes meet Haya's who is staring at us blankly with tears in her eyes.
"You two aren't dating, are you?" She asks in confusion. I look at Zain who is speechless just like me.
"What? Did I miss something?" She asks again, still not believing what she saw.
"Haya, it's not what you're thinking..." I try to tell her but she cuts me off.
"Then what is it Saba? My brother kissed you on the cheek and its nothing? One month I went away and you started dating my brother?" She says angrily. Her eyes are sad and tearful. "This is why you weren't replying any of my messages! You were busy dating my brother!" She yells.
I feel my heart breaking again. How could I do that to her? How could I turn so mean towards my best friend? How could I kiss her brother and spend time with him and not even tell her or reply her?
"Its not that I don't want you two to be together! It's the fact that none of you thought it was important to tell me! And you Saba? You were dating Danish, weren't you? He broke up with you and you started dating my brother? Seriously? Couldn't you even give yourself a break? You're unbelievable!"
"Stop it Haya!" Zain shouts. Haya and I look at his angry red face. "Don't yell unless you know everything. " he mutters through his clenched teeth.
"What else is left to know? That you two have already decided to get married?" Haya yells again. "I always thought we had a great bond brother, I was wrong!"
"Haya, I'm so sorry..... please ___" I apologize but she cuts me out, "You're still standing here?" She asks, her eyes staring mine.
"Leave." She says coldly. I close my eyes but open them again when she says, "Mom! Ask the driver to drop Saba home!"
She'd get mad when she'd find out about us, I knew it. But she'd get so damn mad, I didn't know that. I didn't expect that. For the first time, I just don't feel like going home.
