Although nobody had mentioned it, Pat had clearly gotten an idea that Aaheli had been mentally and physically abused at her home so he didn't pressurise on her calling her family. Coming to Aaheli, she was really touched by the act of kindness from the supposedly hated Australian captain.

I looked at Aaheli with a raised eyebrow and gave Abhishek the side eye. Why is my heart doing a cha-cha slide right now? She just called him sweet but why do I suddenly have the urge to challenge him for a thumb war or something? Wait a second! Is it the jealousy kicking in?? But I barely even know this girl! What in the rom-com world is going on?

Usually Abhishek flirts with every female I come across. Sure, it's kind of annoying but I never really cared much about it so why's my heart's being weird all of a sudden for this particular girl? Oh God.

Seeing Aaheli giggle, Pat's heart does a happy dance as well. It's like her giggling was a secret code that unlocked a new level of emotions within him after he was a little upset over losing the match to KKR last night.
