It's night time right now, Pat dropped me to my room and went to his room. I took a shower and changed into my comfy pajamas. I was about to sleep when I received a text from Mr. Pat
P - Pat, A- Aaheli
P - Heyy Heli :)
A - Heli? Since when did you start calling me that?👀
P - can't I? :(
A - No, it's cute. You can✨
P - :)
P - well, tomorrow we've a match with Mumbai, do you want to come and support me pweeese?
Seriously? The captain of Australian cricket team is typing 'pweeese' to me??
A - are you sure? I can also watch it on TV
P - yes! I've a VIP pass. I'll see you around Heli
A - Good night Pat
P - Good night Heli

I'm excited as well as a little nervous. The boys are doing great and I hope I don't let them down. What if I mess up? I was speaking to myself.
"You won't" Aaheli entered my room with a sandwich in her hand.
"Pat, I believe you! You'll make it don't worry." She said, handing me the sandwich.
"Thankyou ma'am!" I said, opening the wrapped sandwich
"I like Heli better" she smiled.
"Hahaha thankyou Heli! I hope I don't let you down." I said in a nervous tone.
"You won't okay? You'll take all 11 wickets today!" She said giggling.
My poor heart, she's so beautiful when she smiles.

I sat in the player's box along with some other family members of the other players of SRH. Sitting there with crossed fingers, I exuded nervous energy. My support rang out for both Abhishek and Pat, a mix of support and anxiety in each shout of support. Pat took 2 wickets and SRH won by 31 runs!!
I jumped out of happiness. I couldn't help but hug Pat when he came. He hugged me back even tighter, twirling me around in the air.
"You did greaaaaaaat" I said in a quirky tone.
"Thankyou Heli ma'am. Seems like my good luck charm really worked, thankyouuu."
We returned back to our hotel. I was in Pat's room as I had to rant to him about a situation that happened while we were at the stadium. A man was shooing away a stray dog and I didn't like that at all.
"You know! Why do people have to be so rude? Like God, just let it be na.. who ca.." as I was speaking I turned towards Pat who was quite for a moment. My eyes fell upon Pat removing his sweaty jersey. The sight of his tall, muscular frame caught me off guard, leaving me surprised and speechless.
"I.. I..what..you" I tried speaking which made me even more awkward.
Pat now looked at me, sensing my nervousness he said, "caught ya staring ma'am." and he smirked at me before entering the washroom to freshen up. If I stay here any longer, may be I'll see him coming out in something even worse, like a towel or.. oh god. I left his room as soon as I could, stumbling several times in the process.
As I was running through the lobby, i stumbled upon something and was almost going to hit my head until someone caught me. Pat? No he's in his room. I looked up to see a handsome young boy starting right my soul. "Abhishek?" I whispered. "Yeah, you didn't come to congratulate me so I thought why don't I come and.." he spoke, steadying me up.
"Oh I'm so sorry. You were great Abhishek! A 63? Your contribution was.." I was cut short by him.
"Bla bla, all those formal chapad chapads, keep it to yourself husn pari. I'm here to invite you for a party. All the young boys are gonna be there. Be ready tomorrow at 6." He spoke and left. There was a hint of arrogance in his tone but I know it was just a big boy character he was playing, in reality he's just a baby!

It was the next day. Aaheli was dressed up in a gorgeous party outfit. Pat was walking up to Aaheli with his signature innocent smile, ready to ask her out for some Sushi, he was taken aback by the sight of her in a stunning party outfit. "Wow Heli, you look absolutely gorgeous!" he compliments her genuinely. "Are you going somewhere though?" He added.
"Yes! Abhishek had invited me to a party for these young people. He said he'll pick me up at 6." Aaheli spoke with a lot of excitement in her tone.
Pat's smiled faded at this as a hint of sadness and jealousy creeps into his eyes. Pat tries to hide his expressions but deep down the jealousy stings. "Was I not enough for her? Didn't I give her a nice day yesterday and the day before yesterday? She had to go to party with the...so called young guys? Like what am I then?" He thinks to himself. He wonders if he has lost his chance as Aaheli's heart is somewhere else tonight.
"Have fun Heli, give me a call if you need something." Pat left just after speaking these words.
* During the party *
As the party unfolds, the atmosphere becomes lively and vibrant. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan, clearly in high spirits, are seen hugging each other closely, their laughter filling the room. In their slightly intoxicated state, they approach Aaheli with a playful demeanor. "You're Aaahhh heli, right?" Shubman slurs out, trying to be funny. Abhishek, ever the gentleman, steps in, "Hey, no explicit jokes here, please," showcasing his protective side. Aaheli is impressed by Abhishek's assertiveness, seeing a different side to him.
Shubman, not one to back down, starts teasing Abhishek and Aaheli, saying, "Abhishek talks about you all the time! It's like you're his world or something." The teasing continues, with Shubman playfully exaggerating Abhishek's admiration for Aaheli, much to the amusement of the party guests. However, the banter reaches its peak when Ishan, realizing things might get out of hand, intervenes by humorously saying, "Baby, you come with me, buy me a whiskey," and guides Shubman away from the teasing, diffusing the situation with humor and camaraderie.
Abhishek, with a charming smile, leans in towards Aaheli and says, "So, Husn pari, how are you finding the party so far? Enjoying the chaos?" Aaheli, with a playful glint in her eye, responds, "Oh, it's definitely entertaining. Especially with all the drama and antics going on around us."
Abhishek chuckles softly, his gaze lingering on Aaheli, and remarks, "Well, I must say, you bring a different kind of energy to the party. It's refreshing." Aaheli, feeling the warmth of his words, playfully nudges him and replies, "Oh, really? I thought I was just blending into the madness like everyone else." Their conversation flows effortlessly, filled with subtle compliments and shared smiles, creating a comfortable and intriguing dynamic between them.
As Abhishek is driving Aaheli to their hotel, Aaheli gets a text from Pat.
Pat - hey! All okay?
Aaheli - hey Pat, yes I'm good. Missed you.
Pat - I missed you too. Do you want me to pick you up?
Aaheli - Abhishek is gonna drop me. Thanks x
Pat - ohok
Pat can't shake off the feelings of longing and dejection. He sits in his room, feeling a mixed of emotions swirling inside him.
