Chapter Nine

i couldve saved her

3rd person pov

"you're back" she heard and she turned to see rachel standing there. kamari smiled at her as she ran forward and hugged her, kamari hugged her back.

"there's a lot we have to talk about" rachel told her and kamari nodded as they walked into the kitchen and saw kory with Donna and dawn.

"so jericho is alive? don't tell me dick actually said that " donna was asking kory

"well that's one way to enter a room" kamari said and they all turned to the girl with smiles on their faces. donna walked over and hugged her as she hugged her back.

"okay anyways, dick more scrawled it on the wall of his cell like cavemen style" rachel stated

"i don't even know what that's supposed to mean" dawn stated

"its a style neanderthals used to depict images in cave walls usually battle scenes or hunting" kory explained

"i mean that jerichos alive" she said and kamari laughed

"hey kam, wheres jason?" rachel asked the girl and kamari sighed. she didn't want to forget that she left him stranded but she didn't care. at least not right now.

"ill tell you later, now what you guys were saying" kamari said and rachel stared. she knew that there was more then what the girl was letting on but she didn't want to push it and she didn't want to anger her.

"well, one things for sure, hes clearly lost his mind" donna said and kam nodded in agreement

"i keep having these dreams about dick being killed by deathstroke and they're not going away. we need to do something about that" Rachel said

" i believe you but we have bigger problems right now" donna said and she flipped open the tablet

"what the hell did i miss?" kamari asked

"a lot and it might take a while to catch you up, do you think you should take a break from missions for a while?" dawn asked and kamari had to think for a second

"yeah, yeah i have to go make my room again. i got more stuff from home" she said and kory turned to her as donna stared

"home? as in you went to see ivy? you talked to your mom?" donna asked and kamari nodded.

"i did, look guys she let me leave. she trusts that ill make the right decisions. she knows that i will" kamari stated

"well thats shocking" donna said

"i know but shes my mom and if she trusts me, i have to trust her. i brought most of my things from home, my vines have brought the boxes into my room. I'm going to go unpack. call me if you need anything" she said and she walked off as the four of them stared at her.

"that was crazy" rachel said and kamari laughed and shook her head as she walked into her room and she looked around. flashes of jason flowed around her and she hated it. she let the vines begin to put things away and she smiled as she did too. this is what made her feel at home and she liked it. the room was hers, she had left jason and she hated that but this was her home.

once everything was back to normal, she brought the vines back in and smiled as she looked around again. everything was okay and she liked it that way. she walked out of the room and saw that rachel, kory, donna and dawn were gone. they had left but they had to do this for themselves.

she took the tracker off of the box and held it in her hand as she looked around

"I'm doing this for myself" she told herself and she believed that. she believed that this was for herself, she let the vines grab the tracker and bring it into her body. she groaned as her skin stretched around the tracker and she saw the light in her body. the bright red light was going on and off and she was okay with that.

but she looked outside and she saw cops and ambulances going to a fair and she sighed. she looked at her vines and then around

"lets do this" she said and she let her vines spread as she began to jump on them and out of the wall. they cared her for as long as they could and she let them. she laughed as she saw people staring at her but she didn't care.

"kamari, is that you?" she heard and she sighed

"mom, are you talking to me?" she asked

"i am, i see whats happening in san Francisco" she stated

"any advice?" she asked her mom who laughed and sighed.

"do what you always do baby, be the good the world needs" she said and her voice cut out. kamari landed on the ground next to donna, dawn and kory.

"holy shit mari, what are you doing here?" she asked and kamari smiled before looking at the scene in front of her and seeing conner and gar fighting each other

"thought you could use some backup" she stated and they all laughed. conner looked at them and she saw gar on the ground with rachel walking to him.

"hey , conner" kory called and he turned to her

"thats your plan? hey conner?" she asked and kamari laughed

"why is he looking at me like that?" dawn asked

"probably because you're dressed like a giant bird" donna retorted and kamari laughed

"no , its like he was no idea who we are. one of us should talk to him" she stated and they all looked at each other

"ill go" donna volunteered and they watched her walk over to him. kamari stood between dawn and kory as they watched, conner punched donna and they began to fight. kamari held korys hand as they watched the two of them.

it felt like it was never ending. kory stepped forward as donna was thrown and she began to fight him but it was no use

"let my friend go" hank yelled and he began to choke out kory and hank.

"ill handle this" kamari said and she shot out her plants as she threw them at him and wrapped them around him

"holy shit kid, you arent your mom" hank said as he fell down

"yeah, when did you figure that one out?" she asked and he laughed

"your mom would never have saved us" he said and she scoffed

"don't talk about my mom" she said and conner got back up and he shot his laser beams making them hit dick and kamari smiled

"I've missed this" dick said and he smiled at kamari

"we missed you , now we need your help. do you have a plan to stop this superboy?" she asked and he nodded

"i do , but we need rachel for this" he said and she nodded. rachel soon came over and she wrapped her powers around conner as kamari wrapped her plants around him and they watched dick get into his head.

he woke up and they let him go.

"thank you" he said to dick and they watched him walk to the van as they watched. kory walked with him and she punched the women in the face.

the next few minutes were a blur, but there kamari stood as she watched donna hold up the light post and she got electrocuted

"DONNA NO" she cried and she ran over but dawn stopped her as dick walked over and held her dead body

"i could've saved her, i should've saved her" she said but maybe she couldn't have. what she meant was that she should've saved jason, she could've saved jason and even when her plants caught him, she didn't.

so now kamari didn't know what to do and she hated that. she hated not knowing but the next day , there they all stood together. jason was off in the distance and he made eye contact with kamari as she made eye contact with him.

she watched jason ride off and she stared with only one thought on her mind

what would happen to them now?

i finally got s2 finished
