His lips where warm, soft and demanding, his arms held her so very close to him, and she felt her self-control slip away and her hands grabbed his neck, returning his kiss.
One of her hands ran into his hair, pulling at it, making him moan against her lips and pull her even closer to him, his tongue ran along her lip, asking permission, which she granted by opening her mouth to him.
Sarah felt like she almost couldn't breath, the feeling of him overwhelming and she felt something she hadn't felt in a long time, a warmth spreading deep inside her, her entire body wanting more of him.
Suddenly she heard Jerrys voice inside her head, if he ever found out about this he would kill her and probably Tom as well, she couldn't risk it.
She pushed him away, the tears welling up in her eyes and she looked sadly at him. "I can't Tom, I am so sorry".
"Sarah" he reached out for her, but she turned around and ran away, she had to get out of there and get a hold of herself.
She heard him call her name several times, but she kept running until she reached her car and drove of, going way to fast.
What should she do ? She put her phone on hands free and called Hayley, she didn't know who else to talk to.
"Hi Sarah, how are you doing ? You have been hard to reach lately". Hayleys voice sounded on the phone.
Sarah bit her lip, it wouldn't help her crying. "Hi Hayley, yeah I have been really busy, I am so sorry".
"Is something wrong Sarah ? You sound upset and like you are just about to cry". Hayley sounded concerned and Sarah had to pull in to the curb and stop the car, unable to hold back the tears.
"I don't know what to do Hayley, he kissed me, Tom kissed me and I ran away". She sobbed.
Hayley gasped. "I told you sweetie, he is crazy about you, I know you are thinking about Jerry, but are you really sure it was such a bad thing, that he kissed you ?"
"Of course it is Hayley, I am engaged, I can't do this to Jerry, he was there for me when I needed it the most". Sarah shook her head.
"But Sarah, if you forget Jerry for just a moment and feel deep inside, how did you feel about the kiss then ?" Hayley asked.
Sarah sighed and said the thing she only just then admitted to herself. "I think I am in love with him".
"Oh sweetest Sarah, but what are you going to do ? Are you going to tell him ?" She sounded worried.
"I have to talk to him, but I can't act on it Hayley, I made a promise to Jerry, I can't break that promise". And I don't dare either, she thought.
Hayley sighed. "You and Tom are just so perfect together and he would be so much better for you, but you are the only one who can make the choice".
"Thank you Hayley, for letting me spill out all my problems and for being my friend". Sarah said.
"Always sweetie and if there is any problems just call me right, I am here for you". Hayley answered.
They hung up and Sarah sighed, she saw Tom had texted her her while she was talking to Hayley > Are you okay ? I tried calling you, please contact me. Tom <
She wrote him back right away > I am okay. Sorry I ran away like that. I need to talk to you, can you meet me tonight ? <
He answered back almost right away > Just tell me where and when and I'll be there <
She send him a time and place, then she started the car and drove home, hoping she could get out later to talk to Tom.
