"What's the plan now ?" They had walked around zoo for another hour and had reached the exit.
Sarah started thinking. "You should definitely go up the Scott monument, it has a great view, but it is a long climb".
"That is no problem, if you are up for it, but what about we grab some lunch first ?" Tom asked.
She nodded, she was starting to get a bit hungry by now. "That sounds like a really good idea, especially if I have to climb more than 200 steps".
"Is there any place you can recommend ? Somewhere you like to come ?" He looked at her.
She blushed a bit, feeling somewhat embarrassed. "I don't really get out to eat very often, Jerry kind of think that it is a waist of money, and we kind of can't afford it".
"Sorry darling, it was insensitive of me to ask, but is there anywhere you heard of then or always dreamt of going ?" He actually looked sorry to have asked her.
She smiled, he was really the sweetest man she had ever met. "Thats okay, you didn't know. Well I always wanted to go to 'The gardeners' cottage', but they have like three tables, so you have to order far in advance".
"Don't worry about that, just a moment". He smiled and pulled out his phone, making a call.
She didn't want to listen in on his phone call so she kept a bit of distance, checking her own phone for calls and messages, but she had none.
"Well that is taken care of now". He puts his phone back in his pocket, and smiles at her.
She looks at him a bit confused, not quite sure what he is talking about. "What is take care of ?"
"A table at 'The gardeners' cottage' of course, I called Luke and he took care off it right away". He waved a taxi over and opened the door for her.
She got in, it was a bit weird to think that he could just make a phone call and then get thing to happen, it definitely had its perks being famous.
"Please don't think I go around asking for speciel treatment like this normally, but I don't know if I get another chance to take you there". He smiled apologetically.
She padded his knee and smiled at him. "I would never think you did that Tom, you are way to sweet".
When they arrived at the small restaurant, Tom got out and held the door, taking her hand helping her out, then offering his arm, which she accepted.
While they ate and drank several glasses of wine, he told funny stories from the set of the marvel movies, and she laughed until her stomach hurt.
When they walked back outside she looked at him. "Thank you so much for doing this Tom, it was amazing".
"Well thank you for recommending it, I would probably never have found it if you hadn't, so it is your own doing". He grabbed her hand.
"You were the one that made it possible, not bad having a super star with connections at hand when you need something". She said grinning.
He didn't let go of her hand as they walked down the street. "Arh super star is probably stretching it just a bit".
They went to the Scott monument, and around half-way to the top, Sarah started regretting it, especially since Tom didn't look like he had just walked over at hundred steps up.
"Are you okay Sarah ?" Tom stopped and looked at her when they reached around 250 steps, and she literally felt she was dying.
She leaned on the wall, feeling a bit embarrassed, panting and breathless and Tom still looked like he was just taking a stroll down the street. "I just need to catch my breath.. I know, I know, I am so out of shape".
He just smiled and then swept her up in his arms bridal style, making her squeal and throw her arms around his neck. "Put me down Tom, please, you'll drop me".
"Bollocks darling, you weight next to nothing". He just said, and carried her the last about 40 steps to the top, sitting her down gently.
She slapped him on the shoulder playfully, and he pretended it hurt. "You could have dropped me".
"Have you no faith in me woman ? I happened to have that under total control". He answered.
He stepped out to the ledge, looking down, then he looked at her. "Why are you standing all the way back there ? Are you afraid of heights to ?"
"Not really afraid, just a little nervous". She answered, she could look out over the city, but she didn't like looking down. He held out his hand to her.
"Trust me Sarah". He was looking her calmly in the eyes and before she could think more about it, she grabbed his hand and stepped over to him.
He put his arms around her from behind, kind of making her forget everything about heights, as she could feel his body against her back and his voice next to her ear. "I got you, now look down".
She breathed in deeply and looked down, it gave a little tumble in her stomach, but she trusted he would keep her safe. "Wow this is kind of cool".
When they had reached the ground again he looked at her and asked. "Got anymore great ideas, or do you need to get home ?"
"We still have some time, I really want to show you Edinburgh castle". She looked at her phone, still good time before dinner.
"And it isn't just a big tourist trap ?" He looked at her a bit sceptically, as she tried hailing a taxi.
She smiled at him. "Well of course there often is a lot of tourists, but it is actually very nice, kind of like a fairy-tale castle".
"After you my lady". He opens the door to the taxi for her and she got in, him slipping in beside her.
When they got out of the taxi he looked up and the grand castle. "Wow it is almost like being in a disney movie".
"Yeah it is kind of amazing, they cater to a lot of weddings and things like that". She said as they walked up the stairs.
They walked through the beautiful castle, and when they entered the grand hall they were oddly enough alone. "I kind of get it why people get married here, it is kind of romantic".
"I guess it is". She was suddenly confused if it was a dumb choise to go there , had it been wrong to bring another man to a place like that ? She felt stupid not knowing.
"Can I have this dance my lady ?" He bowed to her gallantly and held out his hand to her.
She giggled nervously unsure of what to do. "We can't dance here, all alone and with no music".
"Of course we can". He grabbed her hand and pulled her close to him, his other hand placed gentle on her hip, and she didn't know what else to do, than place her free hand on his shoulder.
He started humming as he twirled her i a waltz, after a couple of steps he starts to sing in a low voice, and she feels transported to another world, she closes her eyes and just lets him lead her, getting chills from his voice.
It dawned on her that he was singing Hank Williams 'cold cold heart' and when she listened to the words, her stomach did a triple back flip.
When he stopped she breathed in deeply a couple of times, telling herself that it was just a song and the lyrics didn't mean anything, before she opened her eyes. "You have an amazing voice".
"Oh it is really nothing special". He smiled looking a bit shy and she realised that he was actually blushing a bit.
