Machines and Teams. The One and Only.
"Don't."
It had been quiet until they got to Black's house. Indigo placed him on the couch and touched his forehead.
"You don't even know what you're doing."
"I know better than you. Mimag, washcloth." The delta nodded before floating into the kitchen and coming back with a wet washcloth. It laid it on his head. He flinched before relaxing.
"You made the monster do that?"
"Black is the only person that would understand. You're not being let in on the secret." Her gaze shifted to the group. "I know what you're after. The question is how far are you going to go to get your goal." The group stared as she continued. "Everyone has a plan, an opinion, a map of their thoughts. They are all doing something different. So what if the majority of the group said that they're done? There's always that one person that says no. Everyone steps up and takes their path. But sometimes... there's something that pulls the paths together. I remember something that the professor of Holon said, 'Everyday, there's that one person that says no. But each day that they live, each day it turns into a yes. You can't change someone's opinion or choice... but you can make one that's better.'"
"You have to be an idiot to think that that's a good idea."
"You can't say that. Have I forced any of you to go grab your dexes? No. Because it's your choice to not hold it. I can't change your mind. But I'm making a better one. Stand up strong and be the Dexter. Let's see who follows. If no one, that's fine. Because it's better than no hero."
"You're going to get yourself-"
"I actually think that's impossible. You're still not allowed in on the secret. You can say what you want, but I have a plan. And I'm going to do it. And you can't change my mind."
"Bet."
"Go ahead! What are you going to say that'll make me give up!? Huh? Oh that's right! I'm the one that'll take the Dexters that do follow and fly! Farther than anyone else has gone! So what if I am on the brink of death? Let my stories touch everyone! You can kill a person, but you can't kill a legend. It's not possible. There's always a challenge, always a barrier. It's easier to join the hero than to destroy a legend. People have tried. You wonder why people like Maxie work so hard to win. Because they're trying to defeat something that's impossible! They work so hard to realize that they did something that's better than what they've been doing their entire life! So if you want to play the bad guy, go ahead. But you'll soon be in the feet of every villain and you'll see what they see! So... Green. Do you have what it takes to be the top? Or are you seeing the signs and the truth? Because as the heroine, I will fight to restore a legend that didn't die, but faded to a place where it waits for light! That's my dream! My plan! To give that legend a light! Any last words before I go help a friend?"
The group stared in shock as she turned around and sat beside Black, who looked like they were waking up. Mimag flew towards the door and looked at the group with the "run while you can" look on it's face. It then opened the door and flew out. The group followed and watched as it left Nuvema Town. Green tried to call after it, but it had already grabbed enough distance.
"The next time we see that thing, which will probably be soon, remind me that I have to ask it something."
"Copy that."
<_^_>
What question does he have for Mimag? Gotta wait till next time.
I hope that you all enjoyed. Ask your questions cause I know that you have some. See you next time! Bye!
