"Bet you don't think Roman's such a hot shot now." Remus joked.

Virgil just frowned and glared at his friend.

"Remus, now's not the time." Janus sighed out.

"Right..sorry.." he muttered.

"I can't believe it was him and I didn't even know! He slipped right under my nose!" Virgil fumed out, wiping his face on his hoodie sleeve, "and He's the one who was hitting on me! I didn't think he was a hot shot! Well—okay on the bus yeah but still-"

"Wait so if you think he's handsome what do you think of me?" Remus asked, wriggling his eyebrows.

"I-uhm..." Virgil blushed, "I mean, you're really cute, and I like your personality better..."

"Virgil we may have to get the police involved. I mean, they looked for the person who killed Emily for months. Some of them didn't give up and even searched for years! It's basically a cold case..." Janus exclaimed, trying to get the attention off of a flustered Virgil.

"And to think I was living with ther person who killed the sweetest little girl on the planet.." Remus muttered.

"What are you going to tell your mom?" Janus asked.

Virgil teared up again, overwhelmed "I don't know..I don't know if I could...it would break her!"

"Oh I know exactly what i'm telling mine." Remus muttered.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Four frantic, sharp knocks sounded on the front door.

"I'll get it." Remus sighed out, standing up, walking out of his room and downstairs to direct a panicky Lucia to his mother.

Everybody was glaring at Roman.

Why would he do something like this?

They didn't really have words right now. They needed to process.

They walked away from him as they glared over their shoulders.

Roman scoffed and left, as sooon as he was gone, he frantically texted Ram and Kurt.

Roman: KURT, RAMMMMMMMMM!!!!

Kurt: what do you want now?

Ram: this better be good, I was just drinking some mineral water with Kurt over here

Ram: its Ohio 👌🏻

Roman: you two are hopeless gays.

Roman: anyways, you know that dude we beat up a few years back?

Kurt: not personally.

Roman: -_- that's not what I meant.

Ram: lol we've beaten up a lot of people

Roman: the one whose little sister we killed?

Kurt: oh no, yeah, why

Roman: he was Virgil.

Kurt: YOU KILLED YOUR FRIEND'S SISTER?! HAHAHHAHAHAHA, DUDE!

Ran: IT WAS VIRGIL?! MSJENDKENEJEBEHHEEH

Roman: YOU GUYS HELPED!

Ram: after you made us -_- how did he even find out

Roman: we were playing truth or dare and I got dared to say "whats the worse thing you've ever done on a dare"

Kurt: lying is a thing

Roman: :-:

Ram: ..What exactly did you say?

Roman quickly texted them everything he said.

Ram: so..you left out all the important details?

Roman: what?

Ram: This Virgil dude from what I heard from the news and stuff had straight up amnesia. So he most likely believed the story you told him a few minutes ago. Most of it is true but you made yourself out to be the good guy!

Kurt: you know what. Sheesh, and we call Janus the liar. How do you lie straight through your teeth like that and STILL can't come up with a weird dare? YOU'VE DUG YOURSELF INTO A HOLE! That's the story you have to stick with now!!

Ram: Well, it's the one that makes it look like we forced him to so

Kurt: Welp, I can't deal with you. i'm going back to looking at male model magazines with Ram. Cya.

Ram: can't wait until they find out the truth.

Roman put his phone away when the conversation seemed to end and yelled in frustration, slamming his front door open and walking inside.
