February 1st.

Jessica rocked Arabella and fed her while Danny tucked Jackson and Sofia into bed.

The twins were asleep for now, but would more than likely be up again within the hour.

"Look at your pretty little eyes just staring at mama.. You are gorgeous, Bella Boo!" Jessica places a soft kiss on her forehead making Arabella smile.

"This time one year ago today.. Well it was crazy. Mommy and daddy weren't exactly getting along, and mommy wasn't taking care of herself very well. Sofia, Jackson and I were moving into this home, and everyone told me to take it easy.. I didn't listen, and I wish I would have. I'm sorry I didn't baby.. I went into labor with you and they did everything they possibly could to keep you in, but you were just a stubborn little thing and demanded to come out now! You were ready!" Jessica chuckles.

Arabella stopped eating and started laughing.

"Yeah you laugh now, but it wasn't funny then!

I was terrified I was going to lose you... You were so tiny and so weak.. I didn't think I would ever get to hold you in my arms." Jessica's eyes fill with tears.

"But look at you now... Look at us now!  I have you in my arms because you are a fighter, Arabella. That's why I gave you that name.. Arabella Kaidyn.. It means Beautiful Little Fighter. That's what you are Bella Boo." Jessica says with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"My beautiful little fighter.

I'm sorry I couldn't keep you in longer.. I feel so guilty every time I give you your inhaler. If you would have stayed in just a little longer would you have had that problem? *Sighs* But you are still so person every way." She smiles and kisses her.

Danny walks in and sits down on the ground beside them.

"Were you listening to me?" Jessica smiles and wipes her tears.

"Maybe!"

She giggles and looks down at Arabella.

"She's not even eating anymore, why is my boob out?" She saying putting it into her cami.

"Hey I don't mind it." Danny smirks.

"Oh stop." She laughs.

Jessica burps the baby and Danny says, "It's been quite a journey with this one, hasn't it?"

"Definitely." She nods.

"I don't know if I ever did this, but thank you for being there with me in the hospital when I was in labor, even though I wasn't talking to you."

"Oh Jess, there's no reason to thank me. I love you and I love our baby, there's no way you could have kept me away."

Jessica gives him a small smile as he stands up then bends over and kisses her.

"I'm gonna go check on the boys."

"Okay." She smiles.

He kisses Arabella's head and leaves the room.

"Now you go night night and when you wake up in the morning. You'll be one! You'll be the birthday girl!" She smiles and kisses her cheek.

After Arabella was in bed she went into her bedroom.

"I'm still not used to Bella not sleeping with me."

"I know, but it's good for her, baby."

"Well not for me! She should wake up with her mommy on her birthday." Jessica pouts.

"Baby, she's asleep! Just let her be."

"Okay..." She whines.

"I'm surprised they're still asleep."

"Me too." Danny yawns.

Jessica smiles and cuddles with him on the bed.

"WAAAHHH!"

"And we're done!" Danny says as Jessica gets up to grab one of the boys.

"Who's crying like that? Huh? Who is it? Joseph! What crawled up your booty, mister?" She picks him up and kisses his cheek.

She sit back on the bed and starts feeding him.

"Mmm, yeah! Is it good, buddy?" She says as he eats like he was starving.

Joshua starts crying so Danny picks him up.

"Hey bud, you're okay! You're fine." He smiles and lightly bounces him.

The baby screams louder and Danny says, "I know, I'm not mommy! I'm sorry."

Jessica laughs and holds her arm out.

Danny hands him over and Jessica starts feeding him.

Danny lays beside Jessica on his side.

"Do you realize that we haven't had sex in three months."

"Yeah."

"Why is that?"

"Uh maybe because we have three kids under the age of one that are constantly on me?" She laughs.

"I just miss you."

"I miss you too.." She smiles softly.

"So we both miss each other?"

"Very good!" Jessica jokes and laughs at him.

Around eleven Arabella woke up.

"I'm gonna go get her and bring her in with us!" Jessica jumps out of the bed.

Danny mumbles in his sleep in response.

"Hey baby, what's wrong? Why are you so sad?"

Jessica picks her up and Arabella immediately stops crying.

"Awe! You just wanted mommy!" She smiles and hugs her tighter.

Jessica laid her in between her and Danny.

Arabella faced Jessica and moved her little hands on her chest like she was tickling her.

"What are you doing, silly?" Jessica whisperers and giggles.

During the night Danny blindly searched for Jessica to hold her close to him.

He opened his eyes and in a groggy voice said, "Hey! How did she get over here?!" Referring to Arabella laying between them.

"She was crying so I went to go get her!" Jessica laughs.

"Oh!"

Danny looks at the clock then back at Jessica and says, "It's after midnight. We have a one year old!"

"I know! I've been up thinking about how much she's gone through in her one year on this earth."

"I know, poor thing... She's so strong, Jess."

"I know." Jessica smiles.

"I'm so proud of her."

"Me too.. And I'm proud of you too, Jess."

Jessica smiles and Danny says, "The day you gave birth to her made me realize just how strong you are. At the time they had told us that her chance of survival was less than ten percent.. but you wanted to deliver her naturally.. You didn't want an epidural because you wanted to feel that pain, and you wanted to feel her move around your belly for as long as you could because you didn't know if you'd ever feel her again."

Jessica was now crying and Danny continued.

"You didn't scream or ever complain.. You are a strong and amazing woman. I'm so glad our girls have you to look up to." He says reaching over for her hand and kissing it.

Jessica smiles softly.

"Awe Danny, that's so sweet!"

"I love you, baby girl."

"I love you too."

When Danny and Jessica went back to sleep, it was quickly interrupted by the twins screaming.

Danny rolled out of bed and went to pick them up.

"Hey you two, quiet down.  You're gonna wake your sissy!" Danny says.

Jessica gets ready to feed the boys and Danny hands them over to her.

"Joe baby, mama just fed you and you're eating like you're starving!"

"Joe eats a lot!"

"I know, he's my big boy!  Aren't you mama's big boy?

"Joshy isn't hungry, will you give him his binky and rock him a bit, babe?"

"Sure. Come here, little man!" Danny takes him from Jessica.

They got a little too loud and and woke Arabella up.

"Uh oh!  We woke the birthday girl!" Danny says.

Arabella sits up and rubs her eyes.

"Awe she does not look happy!"

"Nope!  Bella, were mommy and daddy wing to loud, Princess?"

Arabella looks at Danny with her lips pursed.

"You've pissed her off, Daniel."

"Heh!  Right?  Why are you giving me that look, Bella Boo?"

Arabella burst into tears and Danny pouts.

"I think she needs a diaper.  Give me back Joe and you change her."

"You have Joe, I have josh.. Right?"

"Yeah!  Just give him to me and go change her!"

"There we go!  Daddy made it all better, didn't he?" Danny picks her up and kisses her cheek.

"Now let's go back to bed." Danny lays her down and Arabella clings onto Jessica.

"Maaa!"

"What baby?" Jessica smiles.

"Mmaaaa!" She looks at her with sad eyes.

"What are you whining about, birthday girl?" Jessica says in a cute voice.

Danny takes the twins from her and Jessica lays down with Arabella.

The next morning.

Jessica woke up and Arabella was sleeping peacefully beside her.

She kisses her cheek and Arabella wakes up.

"Happy Birthday, pretty girl!  You're one year old today, how awesome is that?!"

Danny was downstairs with the twins, and Jessica heard running in the hall.

"Mommy!  Mommy!  Arabella's one year old today!"

"I know Sof!  Isn't that crazy?!"

"Yeah!  Happy Birthday to the bestest little sister ever!  I love you so much!"

"Awe!" Jessica touches her chest as Sofia hugs Arabella and puts her on her lap.

"Jax honey, time for breakfast!" Jessica turns his light on.

"Nooo!!" He whines.

"Don't be lazy today Jax, it's Bella's birthday!" Sofia tells him.

"Happy Birthday!" He smiles.

"Thank you!" Jessica says in a baby voice as she bounces the baby.

The go downstairs and Danny was making breakfast.

"Bella Boo!  Come to daddy, pretty girl!  Happy Birthday to my strong precious baby!  I can't believe you're one today!!"

Arabella giggles and lays her head on him.

Later that day they had a party for her at the house.

Friends, family and all of Arabella's NICU nurses were there.

"Say Happy Birthday, sissy!" Jessica tells the boys as she holds them both.

Joseph moves his legs and arms uncontrollably and Joshua just sits there with an unamused expression on his face.

Sarah was holding Arabella and she kept trying to reach over to the boys.

"Awe you love your brothers, don't you?!" Sarah says moving her closer to them.

"Nope!  Just trying to poke their eyes out." Jessica says as Arabella cracks up laughing.

"Hey be nice!" Sarah laughs and pulls her away from them.

"Hey everyone!  I just wanted to say thank you all for coming and celebrating Arabella's first year with us.  It's been a crazy ride, but our girl is strong and we are so proud of her." Jessica smiles.

"Yes, what Jessica said!" Danny smiles and everyone laughs.

"But really, thank you!  We love that little girl and we're beyond happy that she's here with us." He smiles at her in Dorothy's arms.

"And I do have something to add to that!  Everyone give my beautiful wife a big round of applause.  She has been through so much!"

Everyone claps and Jessica blushes.

"She just had three baby's in one year time, she's a human gum all machine, she's a milk machine, she's everything!  Thank you for being an amazing wife and even better mommy to our babies."

"Awe!" Jessica smiles.

"I have a surprise for Jessica.. This is something I've been working on since the day Bella Boo was born.  Sarah helped with the first couple clips, and I've been secretly filming you all, all year long." Danny laughs.

"What are you talking about?" Jessica giggles.

"Just look at the screen." He smiles and points to the big screen as Sarah presses play.

The song "I get to love you" started to play.

The first video was Jessica in labor with Arabella.   Danny was holding Jessica's hips as she leaned over the hospital bed.

There were a couple more like that.
Danny holding Jessica as they swayed together, and their hands on her tiny bump as she laid in bed.

The next video started with Danny looking very nervous.  Like he could just break down at any moment.  It was when the time came for Jessica to deliver Arabella.

The camera was on her face as she pushed, then it cut to Danny comforting Jessica as she sobbed.

There was a video of their first touch, and the first time Jessica held her.

Pictures of Jessica with her hand in the incubator, reading books to her, and videos of her talking to her were also there.

All of this was played without words.  The song that was at the beginning of the video is still playing.

All of the cute little outfits and bows bigger than she was, all of the nurse staff, and finally when her brother and sister got to see her for the first time.

By this time Jessica was bawling.  Danny wrapped his arms around her for comfort.

Danny showed her going home, her first bath at home, her first Halloween.  He showed her hugging Jessica's belly, then showed her with her baby brother's, and her big brother and sister.  He documented everything.

Danny showed how she went from this beautiful, but tiny and helpless little thing; to a strong, healthy and beautiful little one year old.

The video ended with Arabella just that morning.

Jessica was so surprised at this wonder gift he has given her.

Jessica didn't say a word, she just wrapped her arms around him and cried.

"Thank you... Thank you so much."

"Thank YOU!  You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Jessica Lange.  Thank you for what you do for our babies.. You're a wonderful mother."

Jessica smiles and kisses his lips.

Arabella crawls over and Jessica picks her up.

"Bella Boo!

Happy Birthday, beautiful girl.  I'm so happy that I get to love you." She say before smiling and kissing her cheek.
