"Jessica Huston." The nurse calls her back.
"Sarah, will you come back with me please?"
"Sure, Jess."

"Alright, what seems to be the problem, Jessica?"
"Well I just wanted to make sure my baby was okay. I just need to hear their heartbeat."
"Okay.  Have you had any signs of a miscarriage, that you're wanting to check?"
"No.. I just wasn't sick and... Well, I just need to hear them to ease my mind."
"Okay!  That's not a problem.  Just go ahead and lie back."

The nurse puts the doppler on her stomach to check for a heartbeat.
Jessica's heart races as she thinks,
Lord, please let my baby be okay.  I can't stand to lose this much so fast.  Please God!  I would die!

The nurse can't find a heartbeat, so she moves the doppler lower on her stomach.
Finally they hear a small but strong heartbeat.
"Oh thank God!" Jessica puts her hand on her chest and let's out a breath that she didn't realise she was holding in.
"I told you!" Sarah smiles.
"Yeah... Oh, I just love that little sound!" She tears up.
"Have you had an ultrasound yet?" The nurse asks.
"No, I haven't."
"If you have time we can do one right now."
"Oh yes! Please!"

Once the nurse started the scan Jessica and Sarah looked up at the screen and saw a bunch of wavy black lines.
"Whoa! What is all of this?! That's inside of you?!" Sarah's eyes widen.
Jessica laughs and says, "The baby's.. Uhm... Well I don't know where the baby is.."
The nurse chuckles and says, "This little grape sized thing.. *Points* That's your baby." She smiles.
"Aw! Hi buddy!" Jessica says.
"Awe, it's so cute! Jessica!" Sarah hits her arm.
"Thanks, Sar! Oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm pregnant again! This Is so weird!"
Jessica's smile quickly fades when all of reality comes back to her.

This poor baby... I can't do this alone!  How am I supposed to be a single mom?  How am I going to keep things as normal as possible for these kids?  Oh God, I just want my life back...

After her appointment Sarah took her back to get her car and Jessica went to pick the kids up. 
She hadn't spoken with Danny at all, but he called and texted her all day.
"Mommy, is daddy at home?" Sofia asks.
"I don't know Sof, he might still be at work."
"Aw man!"

When they got home Danny's car wasn't in the drive way, so she felt a little relived.

Jessica cooked dinner and they all sat around the table and ate.
"So uh.. I went to the doctor today."
"You did?!  Sofia smiles.
"Yeah... I got a picture of the baby.. You wanna see?"
"Yeah!"

Jessica shows them the picture of the ultrasound and both kids look confused.
"Um mom, what is that?"
Jessica laughs and says, "Sof, that's the baby!"
"Mommy that's not a baby!" Jackson laughs.
"Yes it is!  The baby is about the size of a grape right now."
"A grape?!" Sofia's eyes widen.
"Yeah! Isn't that weird?"
"Yeah! The baby's that small?!"
"Yep!" She giggles.
"When will it come out?" Jackson asks.
"Oh not for a long time! I'm only nine weeks pregnant and I have to get to forty weeks!"
"Oh... Mommy.. How did the baby get in your tummy?"
Jessica laughs and says, "Oh Jackson! That's a discussion we'll have a few years from now!"

"You two can play while I wash the dishes, but as soon as I'm done it's bath time for both of you, okay?"
"Okay."

As Jessica washes the dishes she hears the front door and Sofia and Jackson yelling, "Daddy!"

"What the hell is he doing here?"
Jessica dries her hands and walks to the living room.
"Mommy daddy's home!"
"What are you doing here, Danny?"
"Well do you expect me not to come and check on my family when I get absolutely no response to any messages at all?"
Jessica sighs and says, "Kids go to the play room."
"But I thought you wanted us to bathe."
"Well you can play for a little while. Just don't fight!"
"Okay!"

The kids go upstairs and Jessica says, "Danny.. you need to leave."
"Jessica please listen to me!"
"What?"
"... I'm sorry... I.. I screwed up."
"Why did you do it, Danny?"
"... I don't know... We were going through a rough time, and... I don't know."
"I tried to get us help, Danny! Ugh! I just can't stop picturing you with her and it's making me sick!" She grabs her head with her hand and closes her eyes.
"Danny if she gave you anything and you gave it to me or this baby, I swear to God.. I will fucking kill you!" She points to her stomach then makes a fists.
"She doesn't have anything!"
Jessica looks at him and nods her head, "God! How could you do this, Danny?
"Jess, I am so sorry!"
"Dammit Danny! What do you expect?! I can't forgive you! I can't.." She says that last part in a whisper."
"But Jessica.. I need you, baby."
Jessica nods her head and says, "It's over, Danny."
"... This can't be over..." Danny's voice shakes.
"... Then how come it is?"
Danny looks at her and slowly grabs her hands.
"No.. Jess, I love you! I love your eyes, your nose.. your lips.." As he says this he runs his thumb over each body part.
"And your heart.. your sweet sweet heart!" He wraps his arms around her and lays his head on her chest.
"Jessica... I love you so much and I can't live without you."
"Danny... I can't.. And you need to leave."
He looks up at her with tears in his eyes and she looks back into his.
"Jessica."
"Goodbye, Danny."
"Jessica.. what about us?"
"There is no us Danny... you blew it. We're not a family anymore... We can't be."
"But Jessica.. our kids.. this baby." He puts his hand on her stomach.
"I can't leave this. I can't leave you when you're pregnant."
"You should've thought of that before you fucked someone else."
"Jessica-"
"No Danny!" She yells then in a loud whisper says, "Get out!"

Danny looks at her then slowly leaves.
"I'll come for my things tomorrow.." He says before shutting the door.
Jessica just stares down at the ground and doesn't say a word.
Finally she covers her face and starts crying.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Sofia runs down excited to tell them something.
"Wh- Where did daddy go?" She looks around.
Jessica sniffles and wipes her eyes before she says, "Daddy had to go somewhere, baby."
"Where?"
"A place.. Don't worry about it. You go to your room and get ready for bed."
"But what about our shower?"
"You can take one in the morning. It's getting late and you need to get to bed." Jessica says sitting in the couch.
"Okay... Mom?"
"Yes baby?" She looks at her and rubs her back as Sofia sits on her lap.
"What's wrong? Why are you sad?"
"I'm not, baby.. I'm just tired."
"Oh.."
"Yeah.." She smiles with red watery eyes.
"Now go get ready for bed and I'll be up in a second."
"Okay." She kisses Jessica's cheek and wraps her arms around her neck.

Sofia got ready for bed while Jessica got Jackson ready.
Jessica carries him into Sofia's room and says, "I have a good idea! Why don't we all have a sleep over in the guest bedroom!" She says in an excited tone to make it sound more fun.
"Yeah!" They both yell.
"We're having a sleepover!" Sofia jumps.
"Yeah!" Jessica chuckles.

Jessica couldn't even go into their bedroom, and she didn't want to spend another night alone on the couch, so she slept cuddled up with her kids and fell asleep as peacefully as she could.

The next day she, unlike the morning before had morning sickness.
"Mommy are you okay?"
"I'm fine Sof. Just go get ready for school, okay?"
After she brushed her teeth and got ready, she did the same morning routine as the day before, then took Sofia to school and Jackson to the babysitter's.

Once she got to her trailer Sarah asked how she was.
"Well I've been better. I'm just s tired, morning sickness is really kicking my ass today, and I have scenes to do with Danny all day long! So I'm stressed.." She sighs and throws herself on her couch.
"I'm sorry sweetie... You need me to beat him up for you?" Sarah sits beside her and rubs her thigh.
Jessica chuckles and says, "Maybe later.."
"Well you just tell me when!" She holds her face in her hand.
Jessica gives her a small smile and Sarah says, "How's the baby doing today?"
"I'm assuming very good since I couldn't even keep my breakfast down!" She rubs her stomach.
"Aw! Well try and eat something, we don't need you getting sick on us."
"I'll try to eat again in a little while.. *Sighs* I have to get to hair and makeup."
"Yeah me too.. You okay?" She asks as Jessica just stares at the ground.
"As good as I can be." She looks up at her.
Sarah gives her a comforting hug and rubs her back.

Once Jessica is ready and Ryan comes in.
"Jessica! Hey.. are you okay?"
"Oh yeah, I'm fine Ryan! Listen.. I'm sorry about yesterday, I just-"
"Don't apologize Jessica! Just take care of yourself, okay?"
"Thanks.."
"No problem, sweetie." He holds her arms and kisses her cheek.
"You and Danny ready to make some magic?" He smiles.
".. Yeah."
"Why the long face?" He grabs her chin and strokes his thumb on her cheek.
"Hm? Oh, nothing!" She fakes a smile.
"Alright! Now let's go! I can't wait!"

"Hello Jessica." Danny says as she walks in.
"Hi Danny." She says as her eyes wander around where he's isn't.
Ryan starts talking to one of the writers and Danny walks over to Jessica.
"Jess-"
"Danny don't! Don't say anything. We're working! We are coworkers and nothing else, do you understand me?"
"Yeah... But will you have dinner with me tonight?"
"No, Danny."
"Please Jessica! We need to talk and we need to discuss the kids!"
"Alight.. Fine."
"Okay, I'll take you to Angelo's after work."
"I can drive myself, Danny."
"That's fine!"

Jessica was laying there covered in blood and it was the scene where Mossimo was cleaning the blood from Elsa's face.

"My Angel..
Don't worry."

Elsa pants softly and Mossimo softly mumbles something in German.

"No. Why do you look at me?
I am hideous.
Just a cripple.
I will never be beautiful again."

"But your legs will be beautiful."

Danny smiles down at Jessica as he cleans her bloody face.
His heart breaks and he hurts for what he has done to her.

She doesn't deserve this... She's given me many many amazing years... She's birthed two of my children... How could I do such horrible things to this beautiful woman that is carrying my child.
