This is directly after Prologue:

Adrien's POV:

I climb in my bathroom window. "De-transform."

A black swirl comes out of my ring.

"Well that was a waste of my time. Now where's my camembert?"

"Shut up Plagg. Don't you realize what's going on!"

"Yeah yeah. A best friend and a partner went missing. You need to calm down."

"Ladybug is not just a partner! She's my true love! A-And Mari is, is, a cr-crush. So stop acting like nothing is wrong or you will not be seeing camembert for a long time!"

A tear trails down my face. I clench my fist as Plagg grabs a hold of my back.

"Adrien, I'm sorry. Just don't deny me. Maybe you have a better chance at finding them if you are Cat Noir. Don't give up."

I sniffle. "Who are you and what did you do with Plagg?"

I give a small chuckle.

Plagg gives me a look and flies off to find his stinky cheese.

My phone rings and I answer immediately.

"Hello?"

"Is this Adrien?"

"Yes? Who is this?"

"I'm sorry. It's Marinette's mom ."

I sigh.

"Oh. Did the detectives find anything?"

"Yes that's why I called. They found a note. It says," she sniffles,"M-Mom and Dad, I-I. I can take it anymore!"

The sound of a depressed mother dropping her phone sounds in my ears. I hang up.

"Plagg lets go. We are going to the cafe."

"Fine," he says throwing a piece of cheese in his mouth.

I roll my eyes. I open my white short sleeve jacket  and he flies into the pocket. I pick up my bag and make my way down the stairs.

"Son. Where are you going?"

I cringe at the sound of his voice. "Not to a photo shoot that's for sure."

I slam the door on my way out.

I arrive at the building, filled with the cries of parents, wanting their daughter back safe and sound.

"Hey. I came to read the note that was found."

Mari's mom stand up and grabs the note,"H-Here you go."

"Thank you. Do you mind if I go into her room?"

"You do whatever you want. You might find a piece of this puzzle that the detectives missed."

Well if the detectives didn't miss anything, I did.

The last time I was here the walls where just a solid light pink. Now pictures of me are all over her room.

"Wow."

I sit in her hot pink swirly chair and my hand hits the space bar of her computer.

And all I see is me,myself,and I, with hearts all over the screen. 

"Come on man! Open the letter."

"Plagg! You scared me!"

"Sorry!"

I open the note that was folded in quarters.

Mom and Dad, I am fine. I will be back in the morning. Love you.

I turn the page over and only one word comes to mind.

Hawkmoth.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Cliff Hanger! I'm worse  than Volpina! (No no no. She is the greatest evil)
