Shade's POV:

I sat in the stands and looked at the rouges that the pack had just found. Raven did the normal introduction and asked the first one who he wanted to fight. I snorted when he pointed in my direction. I looked behind me to the wolves who he looked like he was pointing too.

"Shade, come down please!" Raven called out. I looked at her surprised. This was the first time someone wanted to challenge me. I shrugged and jumped down into the arena. Again, Raven called out the rules. Once the whistle was blown he lunged at me. Trying to land a fist on my head. I ducked down and kicked him in the side, this pushed me away and knocked the wind out of him. Not taking any chances I quickly delivered a kick to his head and he fell on the floor of the arena, out cold. I stood up and smirked, looking over at Raven. She nodded a little with a smile on her face.

People yelled at me, arguing that I should not have been allowed to fight, I was not even a part of the pack. Raven turned and growled at them. They whimpered and backed off, I jumped out of the metal arena and walked out into the forest air. I rolled my head around and shifted into my Lycan before darting off into the woods to hunt. People around here where pissing me off.

At least I was not the only one. Rosa got a lot of shit at the hospital and Carmyn and Aiden where trashed for being knocked down in rank. Not to mention that we where the Omegas, we didn't have a say in anything. I stopped when I smelled intruders. Growling I walked in the direction of the smell.

I found some wolves, and they smelled to be from Blake's pack. I lept at them and tackled the closest one, cutting his chest open and smashing ribs. The other wolves had shifted at this point and where trying to attack me. Reaching my muzzle out I grabbed the closest one by the neck and slammed him down on the ground. Three where left at this point.

I growled at them and took out one more before the others ran away. I looked up and smelled wolves running, quickly I ran back into the forest hoping no one would fine me. I needed to blow off some steam.

As I walked through the forest I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Camryn behind me. Relaxing she ran to join me.

"The wolves around here are killing me." Camryn whined. I nodded in agreement.

"I wonder why my mate even let me leave the pack. Not to mention his Betas and one of the head doctors." I stated.

"Raven-er sorry Alpha said that it was because no one could watch over you." Camryn sighed. I shrugged.

"Yeah, now she won't let me out of her sight. I snuck away today but I bet that she is hunting me down right now." I said pushing back on my heals. I heard gunshots in the distance. After we got news of the war Raven had become even more protective. It was like she constantly expected me to run off like I did in my pack. That thought always made me laugh a little.

We walked up to a clearing. Camryn and I had been able to sneak out some workout equipment into this part of the territory. I reached behind a bush and pulled out two workout bags. I threw the bark blue one to Camryn and opened up the black one. I got changed into a black sports bra and black spandex. Plugging in my headphones I put my phone in the top band of my spandex.

I walked out, wrapping my hands so they would not blister. Camryn and I worked out for 20 minutes till I smelled Raven. I signaled to Camryn to get into the trees and run to the nearby river. I rushed into the trees and grabbed out cloths. I quickly joined with Camryn and we took off. Once we made it to the river we jumped down and washed off the smell of sweat and the forest.

Jumping out, I tossed Camryn her change of clothes and we got changed moments before Raven walked out of the trees, other wolves following behind her. She growled and me and grabbed my arm and yanked me back to our house. I rolled my eyes when she glared at me over her shoulder.

"What? I needed to blow off some steam. Some of these wolves are pissing me off." I muttered. This time she rolled her eyes.

"Stop being such a baby." She growled at me. I closed my mouth but I could feel a growl building in my throat.

Yeah, but you're babying me! I thought to myself. I mind-linked Camryn for a moment.

How are you? I asked

Fine, if that means getting a lecture from Derek. She sighed.

I'm getting dragged back to the house. I told her flatly.

Oh, thats not fun. She winced.

You're telling me. I get to listen to this and that about how I could get hurt. I muttered.

I have to go, I'll talk to you later... hopefully. She ended the mind-link and I laughed, even though I felt like I was facing certain doom. I sat on the couch and listened to Raven talk to me. I just nodded and pretended like I was listening. Once she was finished she left the room, mumbling about how there needed to be more patrols on one part of the boarder. Camryn, Aiden, Rosa, and I where still not technically part of the pack yet. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV staring blankly at the screen. I turned when I heard the door open. A sad and angry Rosa stood in the doorway.

"What happened today?" I asked.

"Nothing,mother than some stubborn wolves don't trust me. Not to mention when they started yelling at me Hailey got in the middle of everything. She ended up getting hit." She sighed sitting next to me.

"These Lycans are getting on everyone's nerves. Well every Lycan other than Raven." I said, Luke walked through the door and sat in a chair off to my left.

"Do you know where the Alpha went?" Luke asked me. I shook my head.

"Last I heard she was muttering something about increasing patrols or something." I told him, he nodded his head and stood back up and walked out the door. Pushing myself up off the couch I stretched and walked towards the stairs.

"I'm going to crash for a little, tell me if there is anything I can do later." I said walking up the stairs.

"Sleep well, I will." Rosa called to me. I opened the door to my room and curled into bed, looking at the ceiling. I heard a knock on my balcony and saw my mom and May standing there. My face lit up and I threw open the doors to the balcony and crashed into my mom, giving her a hug.

"Glad to see you aren't dead. Last I heard no one had seen you in two months." She told me. I nodded my head shyly.

"Yeah, well we didn't want anyone getting involved in what we where doing." I said. She nodded her head and I went to go give May a hug.

"So, what's your rank here? I bet you are a beta, or a third in command-" my mother started, I put a hand up to silence her.

"I'm the Omega." I stated flatly. They both looked surprised, I nodded my head sadly.

"Technically I'm not even apart of the pack yet. Next full moon will hopefully mean that I become part of the pack." I told them, this shocked them even more.

"But there was a full moon not to long ago." May said. I nodded my head agreeing with her.

"There was but that was also the night we found out about how the Silver Bloods Pack has declared war on this pack." I sighed.

"Lycans can be very rude to those who are not apart of their pack, but are hanging around their pack, they will not hesitate to hurt." My mother warned.

"Little late on that one, already figured it out." I mumbled. They nodded their head before saying goodbye and handing me a small bag. I waved goodby as they jumped off the balcony. Walking inside I set the bag on my bed and sat across from it. Suddenly it moved, I raised an eyebrow and opened the bag the rest of the way. My eyes widened in amazement.
