Eevee's P.O.V.

Violet started walking to the forested edge of the route and eventually walked into the forest. I went in after her. We walked until we found a clearing full of rocks. Violet sent out her Pokemon and started to have them use moves on the rocks.

(Many hours later)

Violet's Pokemon had just finished their training and were resting. I had dozed off for a bit because I couldn't train with my injured ribs. I woke up a bit ago and watched how Violet interacted with her Pokemon. They seemed to have a really strong friendship with each other.

Seeing their bond reminded me about my old trainer. He never congratulated his Pokemon or was nice to them. I wonder what it is like to have a trainer who actually appreciates you. A trainer who supports you in battle, and doesn't just yell and hurt you all the time.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice that Violet had walked over to me. She jarred me out of my thoughts when she called out my name.

"Eevee?"

I jerked up my head. "Oh hi."

"Come on, it's time for lunch."

I saw that she had set up four bowls of Pokemon food mixed with berries. She sent out her other Pokemon. They materialized in a flash of red light from each of their pokéballs.

"Guys, it's time for lunch!" Said Violet.

The other Pokemon quickly went over to the bowls and started eating. I slowly followed them and sat down next to Cindaquill.

"So how did your training go?" I asked.

"Really good! I think we all got much stronger!" She said excitedly.

"Great!" I said and started to eat.

The food tasted amazing; it was sweet but spicy at the same time. The favors blended perfectly.

Violet sat in front of us and unzipped her backpack. She pulled out a sandwich and started eating it. Then she stopped eating for a second. "Ok guys, so I'm thinking we will train for a few more days and then fight the gym leader. After that we can get rid of the tree blocking the road to Goldenrod."

"Ok, that sounds good." Said Butterfree.

We continued to eat and in a few minutes we all finished. Violet stood up and took our empty bowls. She put them in her bag. Then she let out a big yawn and stretched out.

"Well I'm going to take a nap. if you guys want to, you can play or take a nap too. But don't wander too far, okay?" Said Violet.

She got up off the ground and grabbed her bag. She walked over to a tree, sat down, and used her backpack as a pillow as leaned up against the tree to fall asleep. The other pokemon looked very tired and they also laid down on the grass near Violet. However, I wasn't a bit tired, so I decided to take a walk.

Before I left I walked over to Cindaquill and nudged her gently.

"Nnngggg. Who-who is it?" She said groggily.

"It's me. I just wanted to let you know I'm going on a walk for a bit."

"Mmmkkk." She said, then fell back asleep.

I walked into the woods. I saw soft light shine through the canopy, and felt the soft grass prickle under my paws. A soft breeze blew through the woods carrying the smell of the wild berries. I walked through the forest for a couple minutes. Then I heard rustling leaves and a snapping stick.

I got in a defensive position and growled. I slowly walked over to the bush where I heard the noises. I cautiously pushed aside some of the branches, and behind the branches I saw a terrified Tododile. It was curled in a ball and shaking. Its blue skin was covered in bruises. It looked at me and I could see the fear in his red eyes.

"Eevee? I-is that you?"
