What Would I Know? (I'm Just A Man)
They say the good things in life come free
And that there's nobody else like me
No one with the same lines on my hand
But what would I know, I'm just a man
They say you don't know what you have until it goes
And that friends are only closer foes
They say there's no such thing as wonderland
But what would I know? I'm just a man
They say 'oh quit the bullshit, hearts don't really break
If yours does, it only means it's really fake
And after all the miles that I ran
They say what would I know? I'm just a man
They that there's no place like home
But what if your loved ones are gone?
They say 'whatever, this is still your motherland
After all, what would you know? you're just a man'
They say lightening don't strike the same place twice
And I've been feeling like horseshit, hard to fool these flies
They tell me to shut up, and I'm trying all I can
But still what would I know? I'm just a man
They say I should start with the man in the mirror
Turn out that monster and make him a hero
And when I tell them I stay up late waiting for Peter Pan
They laugh at me 'what would you know? you're just a man
Well they say that change begins with me
And the more I look, the less I see
And I've tried so hard to understand
But what would I know? I'm still a man
