HeckBent's Diary Entry #1:

   My very loving but stressed boyfriend, D.M.B, lately has been stressing out about reinforcing the magic barriers around the base that was protecting everyone since it failed for a short time earlier today, the 7th time this week. I felt awfully bad since it seems everyone depends on him for 75% of the issues involving our survival in this world. I have my own less important issues, due to an experiment that went wrong, I now have cat ears and a cat tail that has replaced my demon tail.

I've kept them hidden since then for months now, but I can't stop trying to nuzzling everything that moves or breathes, it just can't be helped, and the desire to nuzzle everything is getting stronger day by day. I guess it's some side effect of the cat characteristics I now have. I decided I'd just write out my day to day problems in this book instead of bugging D.M.B with my personal issues, since he has much bigger problems on his hands that he needs to deal with already, and I'd only weigh him down from him trying to tend to my needs, so I decided I'd return the favour by taking care of him. So then in turn I can hopefully get a cuddle, or something at least.

    I was currently walking down the long corridors that lead to the dorms in the bunker section of our base, just for in case a bombing attack on our base happens when we are sleeping. I decided to bring a bowl of soup, a slice of buttered bread, and a glass of water for lunch on a tray, I was planning on sitting in my dorm room and reading my secret stash of Manga and Anime Doujishini. D.M.B was in his dorm as usual when I passed his slightly ajar door, seeing him working at his desk tiredly with 3 different spells books floating around him.

The stress was taking a toll on him, bags were clearly visible under his bloodshot eyes, he looked very sleep deprived and it made me feel really bad for him. I decided to poke my head into his dorm room before stepping in quietly, he didn't even notice that I had entered the room, his focus only on the spell books around him.

    "D.M.B...are you okay?" I asked, awkwardly standing in the doorway with the Ray still in my hands. He turned his head, staring blankly at me. "I'm fine HeckBent, thank you." He turned his attention back to his books. "Maybe you should take a break, it'd help you a lot." I suggested, hoping he would so he could get some rest. "I can't waste anymore time, I don't want everyone to die if my barrier fails again during an attack. The gang is depending on me." He said with a monotone voice, still looking through all his spells books. "I know, but a break shouldn't hurt anyone. Besides, when was the last time you ate something?" I tilted my head, looking down at the soup that was still steaming, the delicious aroma wafting up and into the room. "Eh, that isn't really important, I'm not hungry--" D.M.B got cut off from his stomach growling loudly. "Well, your stomach says otherwise. Come on, I have some soup here that you can have, you gotta get some energy and food for your brain to think." I said firmly, placing the tray down in front of him on his desk.

   D.M.B made a long sigh. "I'm fine HeckBent, trust me, you go enjoy your soup, okay? Don't worry about me in here." D.M.B insisted, still looking through another book that he took off of his shelf that was lined with old and ancient looking spell books. "Come on, at least have a few bites.. Please...?" I begged him, now worried for his health. "...alright, but just a few, I can't be distracted for too long." He finally agreed after a few minutes of silence had passed. "Yay!~" I cheered a little, scooping up some of the soup and blowing on it carefully to cool it down, and I held it out for D.M.B, to which he eyed it like it had some hair in it. "I don't need to be fed like a baby, you know I can do it myself." He stated with a slightly annoyed look on his face, crossing his arms. "I know, but come on, you don't want to feed yourself so I'll feed you instead, now open up wide.~" I still held the spoon in my hand, eventually he gave in and let me feed him a couple spoonfuls of soup.

     He did take a sip of the water, nibbling at the buttered bread slice in between spoonfuls of soup. I was content when I saw that the soup had been completely consumed in no time. He looked a little more perked up and energetic, now having food in his stomach. I decided to stay with him, to keep him company, or maybe I was simply feeling lonely and wanted to be around someone I trusted. He was still reading his spell books, and I draped my arms over his shoulders from behind, nuzzling him a bit, since I was feeling exceptionally cuddly. He didn't react to me nuzzling him so I placed a small kiss on his cheek. No reaction. His attention was all on his spell books, I know I may seem a little obsessive or clingy, but I kinda was getting annoyed with him reading books all the time and not spending time with me, we put off 3 movie nights since we started dating due to him needing to fix this or that for an urgent repair. The group can never back off for just a minute and let me have him all to myself for even one day.

     I put my legs on either side of him to straddle his lap, making his face slowly become flustered, but kept his eyes on his book. I frowned, none of my attempts seemed to be working, I was now feeling really annoyed so I decided to snatch the book in front of him out of the air and throw it across the room, taking him by surprise as I got really close to his face. "PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!" I snapped as I had gripped his robe in my hands, now slightly agitated, then proceeding to nuzzle his chest and the crook of his neck. "Where is all this  coming from?" D.M.B asked, to which I lifted my head and faced him with a big pout on my face. "You're always being dragged away by some task or demand from the group, that you never get any rest and end up being too tired to spend quality time with me before another task pops up... And I get lonely..." I explained, the pout still on my face, hugging him while resting my chin on his shoulder.

D.M.B sighed, wrapping his arms around me. "I'm sorry, I guess I do get wrapped up in my tasks and my duties, and I never get sleep and I am usually too tired to really be around before I have to get back to work. But it's important that I handle the defences for the base." He frowned a little, yawning tiredly, using one hand to reach up and rub his eyes. "Well, at least get some sleep, it'll be good for you to rest." I said, pecking him on the lips. "Alright, but then I'll get back to getting the barrier more stabilized, okay?" He agreed, to which I got off and pulled at the sleeve of his robe, leading him over to his bed. After he laid down on his bed, I turned on my heel to let him sleep, but I felt a hand grab my wrist. I looked back at D.M.B, who was gazing into my eyes. He let go of my wrist and was now tiredly holding his arms open, which I knew what he wanted so I let him pull me down and into his embrace. "I need help getting to sleep..." He mumbled into my hair, nuzzling the top of head before kissing my forehead.

"I'm more than happy to help with that." I snuggled close, purring happily, hearing D.M.B chuckle a little from hearing me purr, but I could care less at this point as my eyelids had started feeling heavy. I fell into a blissful sleep laying next to my lover and my hopefully life partner.
