Hello viewers, and welcome to the book I'm using to pitch an idea for a show!

You've probably read the description, but I'd like to make a more fleshed out summary just in case you wanted to have your attention dragged even further into this hellhole of a plot.

For generations, the Brittlebone family have been nuisances to everyone who breathes around them.  They'll strike up deals with you and break them in front of your eyes, and 99% of the time, they'll get away with it unharmed.

Portal Brittlebone is just as deceitful as the rest of his family, and Lannie Skylighter is quick to hop on board when she marries him and takes the Brittlebone name.  But their children, brother and sister Pot and June, as well as their adopted child Todd, are set on breaking the chain of trickery their family has put up for them.  No matter how many people come in their way out of revenge for something their parents have done, they'd stop at nothing to keep each other safe, as well as make amends with the people who've been hurt.

Pot is the oldest of the trio.  He's the classic shy boy and nervous mess who'd stutter like a female Y/N when given any confrontation, especially with his high school crush, Gale.  His fears and anxiety aside, though, he's the most mature of the bunch.  Their parents are never around, so he has to do most of the chores and take on most of the responsibilities, including keeping his siblings from dying every other weekend.  To help with this task, he has plenty of combat knowledge and is really good with heavy weapons like hammers despite looking like every skinny white boy ever. 

June is the middle child.  Much like her older brother, she's extremely shy and rarely talks to anyone outside of her family.  But unlike her brother, she has next to no combat experience and only avoids dying because of one thing: Jane.  To put it short (for now), Jane is a demon sent to possess June, but instead of using her body for purely evil purposes, Jane uses her opportunity to help protect the siblings as well as commit some murders along the way.  You know, for funsies.  June and Jane are pretty chill with each other most of the time, so usually things are cool.

Todd is the youngest sibling.  After losing his family in a car accident when he was 8, he was placed in foster care, but was quickly picked up and adopted by the Brittlebones.  It hardly takes any time at all to realize they're adopted, as they are the exact opposite of their siblings.  They were in the car crash that killed their family, and while they survived, he had gotten off with some brain trauma, including most of his amygdala being destroyed.  This causes his response to fear to basically be gone.  The one thing that can scare him is suffocating, wether it be through drowning in water or nearly smothering to death in a fire.  Still, for the most part, they hardly see any danger in anything, including holding highly poisonous snakes, being threatened, watching people die in front of them, you get the idea.  This little sense of danger often gets him into trouble, but he's very skilled at creating distractions and remaining calm even when death is looking them in the face.  They're also very quick to learn new things, which comes in handy far too often then it needs to be.

More characters and plots will definitely be introduced later!  For now, here's your scraping of the surface lore for today.  See you next time!
