(March 16th, 2006) Britney's POV

It's been a month since my birthday. I've been singing more since then and I've been talking to grandma. She was telling me about a man who had saved her life during the first world war when she was my age. Apparently he had red eyes and called himself a vampire. I've been wondering if my new family are vampires. I never see them eat, they have pale and cold skin like the man grandma tells me about. Except their eyes aren't red, but gold. I decide to ask Daddy about it today.

"Daddy, what are you doing?" I ask curious when I see him marking some paper work in his study.

"Just marking some exams, speaking of. Shouldn't you be studying with your mother right about now?" he asks me curious.

"She says it's lunch time and is making me nachos" I tell him. As I sit in his lap. "Daddy, can I ask you a question?" I ask him.

"You just did, but you may ask another" he tells me as he wraps his arms around me.

"Why do you and the others never eat?" I ask him curious.

"We do it" he lies.

"Lying is bad daddy" I tell him looking into his golden eyes. He sighs as he puts his pen down. "Are you vampires, daddy?" I ask him.

"How do you know that word?" he asks me curious.

"Grandma had a fried who saved her in the first world war, he called himself a vampire" I tell him matter of factly.

"Did this vampire have a name?" he asks me.

"Garrett" I tell him and he looks surprised. "Do you know him daddy?" I ask him.

"I know Garrett" he relents.

"Why are your eyes gold?" I ask him.

"Because we feed on the blood of animals" he states.

"Like Stefan in The Awakening by L. J. Smith?" I ask him and he chuckles.

"Yes" he says. "Who has been reading you L. J. Smith?" he asks me.

"My old mummy had all the books and would read them to me" I tell him. He nods his head. "Will you tell me your story?" I ask him.

"It is not a pleasant one" he tells me. "When you're older, I promise you will hear all our stories" he assures me. I nod my head in acceptance. Just then mummy appears at the door.

"You're food is ready" she tells me.

"Ok" I say hopping off of daddy's lap. "I want you all to know, I still love you all. Even though you're vampires" I tell them. Hoping my siblings can hear me too.

"We love you too" daddy tells me with Mummy. I smile happily and follow mummy to the kitchen. I enjoy my lunch, then go back to studying with mummy. We moved onto maths.

(March 18th, 2006)

Alice disappeared a couple days ago and then Rosalie called Edward. Then everyone was worried about something. But wouldn't tell me what. I wake up today to see boxes everywhere. I frown and head to the kitchen to see daddy on the phone. "Mummy, what's going on?" I ask her confused as Emmett takes boxes outside to a waiting truck with Jasper.

"We're moving sweetie" she tells me.

"Moving?" I ask with a frown.

"Yes, moving to back to Forks" she states.

"You're gonna love it" Emmett states as he appears beside me. "We'll go hiking all the time, you can watch us play baseball" he adds.

"I don't think that's a good idea Emmett, remember what happened with Bella" Rosalie grumbles.

"I thought you'd be happy about moving back to Forks" I say confused.

"I am, just have other things on my mind" she tells me.

"Where's Alice?" I ask.

"With Edward, they will meet us there" Daddy states after hanging up the phone. "All squared up with Billy, and your plane leaves tomorrow" he tells mummy.

"Excellent, are you sure you and the boys can handle the drive up?" she asks.

"We will be fine and take good care of Britney. Besides you need to set up her room" he states.

"We're going on a road trip?" I ask him curious.

"Yep, we leave tonight" he states.

"You'll no doubt be asleep for most of it" Jasper adds as he appears.

"But won't it take nearly a week to get there?" I ask them confused and Emmet chuckles.

"For a human maybe, as they need sleep. But we will only have to stop for gas occasionally. We have enough petrol in tanks to get us to South Dakota" he explains. "I'd say we'd be there in two - three days. More then enough time for the girls to have your room ready. And maybe Alice will beat us there with Edward" he states.

"Though we will make a few pit stops for you to eat also" daddy assures me.

"Though I will have some food and water packed for you" mummy adds. "Speaking of, breakfast" she says placing some pancakes in front of me. I cheer, I never get pancakes. I eat them happily. I watch TV, while the others all packed our things. I am excited to see Forks and start a new life there with my family. Also I can't wait to meet Edward at last, maybe he will play piano while I sing. I'm also excited for my new bedroom.
