Kalpi hurried out only to be cornered by Charmaine......"  Kalpi ..Kalpi..I saw you kissing Raghav...Oh my  God...."  Charmaine exclaimed......."Ssshhhh..... Charmaine.......Shut up,,don't blow your trumpet  now..."   scolded Kalpi.......and she smacked Charmaine on her mouth........The entire family were gathered  at the dining  room...........a few people walked in  with a silvery haired man    whom Kalpi recognised at once  as   Mr  Singhania........Raghav  was the chip of the old block...........Mr Sinnghania    gestured  to all the guest to  take their seats   at the  table......
" Come  child  sit here beside  me".......he  smiled at Kalpi ......Mrs Gauri  seemed a little  surprised   .....her  husband  had never  invited anyone to sit  beside him....but  kalpana   seemed  to  be an exception........ Charmaine  was scowling at Kalpi openly.......and  that did not go unnoticed by Mr Singhania........."ah    you much be   Charmaine....the  girl who went raving mad  for  your  friend , i  heard  you gave hell to Soham  to drive you here.....after Kalpi was hit  and was injured"......Charmaine  smilled sheepishly........and  concentrated......on her food.............Mr Singhania  turned towards...Kalpi......." Let me  see your    Injured  arm  child..........Kalpi  lifted  her  arm  to show....her  wound....her fingers   holding a piece of chapatti   .........Aww  mum.......Raghav said   looking at the file he was holding and  quickly   bit the  piece of Chapatti  in Kalpi's  fingers and ate  it......Laughter was heard and he looked up......."see Ragahv  ..i told  you  there will be a girl who will take  my place and you denied it  and  today  indirectly you ate from her hand..." Gauri Singhania teased......kalpi  turned  pink........she  was too scared to look up........."' Your  wound  is  healing properly  child..........." said Mr Singhania.........and ..they all ate heartily....a good   home made breakfast.........the  ladies  who had  come    had all their eyes on kalpi........." she will have many children' one lady said looking at kalpi's hips.........kalpi  was tickled with  embarrassement  hearing these    words....... when she looked up     Raghav was no where to be seen...'.thank god".........Kalpi uttered  under her breath  and  helped to clear the dishes...she recalled   Madhu    giving her   domestic lessons........now it came in handy............,The  farm workers  were busy toiling in the field  ...Kalpi and  charmaine we inquisitive     as   how the  vegetables were loaded  in  lorries  for  shipment  so they    quickly   don boots and  hats  and ran  to the fields....it was indeed hard  work for the farmers  to  sort out   each type of crop..........to check for  pests   ,,irrigation  pumps  to water the vegetables.........within minutes  the  girls were sweating  and Charmaine felt dizzy   ...and  would  have  just dropped like a doll  to the mud.......Soham's  arms reached for her and he steadied  her  and  accompanied her to a near by shed............"..You girls  are  such  stubborn imps...you could get sun stroke...."  he scolded   them  both.........Charamaine   was given  water to drink.......while kalpi  hopped  behind   the little   goat  she had  taken a liking to......carefree and  laughing     she ran where ever  the  goat  ran ,  back and forth.......picking tiny flowers  along the way..the  wind on her face.....she sat on a  rock   and  started to  carve her name on it....then   carved   Raghav's  name    .....and  Charmaine and Soham's   name.........she  had a gut  feeling   Soham and Charmaine will be together......so  lost in her thoughts she lost track of time......she tried to look for the trail she had  walked on  but   it was   dark,,the  sunny clouds were gone.............Kalpi held the little goat in her arms  tightly    and  she  jumped in horror....when a snake slithered  pass........kalpi quickly    put her legs up  ...on the  high  rock.............and  closed her eyes..........praying for someone to rescue  her........but   no  sound  came.except  for  the  now  howling wind.........probably another  storm coming up.......she   went higher up on the rocks........still  holding little  goat...her  arms  was begining to  become stiff  but she was too afraid to let go of little  goat  her only ..........   consolation  ....... While back at the farm house  kalpi was missed,,and   they panicked..........searching  the house and  shed  and  the  fields  but  kalpi was nowhere to be seen..............the  workers rushed out with  torch  and lantern lights.........calling out  her  name     Ragahv    and  soham  ran out.................while Mr Singhania     comforted his  wife Gauri........" calm down gauri.......Kalpana will be  fine  trust me"..................while  in the wilderness  kalpi began to shake with fear..............what if  no one found her.....what if she got mauled by and animal..........her little brain was tortured thinking of  every possible   horrible  thing  happening  to her. she wanted to dance  the Khatak  dance  with  her anklets on........"God  Please  don't  let me die  she  cried.......she  wanted to  hug Madhu and  call her  mum.............darkness enveloped her.....she  just sat    ..shaking   ...her   body   felt   painfull    ... the little goat snuggled closer to kalpi..........probably afraid  too      .......her eyes began to close   and she slowly  began to drift into slumber  but shook herself awake.........she  could hear  the hooting of an owl..........Kalpi  was scared of  owls.............kalpi heard twigs  break........still holding  little goat.......she   sat absouletly   still......it could be anything.........an animal looking for  prey.............................Back in  Singapore  Sheetal Kapoor  was closing in........she   had  Madhu followed   and  the shocking revelation.......Kalpi was in INDIA....................................to be  continued
