CHAPTER 2

Raghav being the first born knew the responsibility towards his parents and the little sister he doted on.his entire world was his parents and sister.his eyes and senses were always alert to the surrounding.....the happy home they lived in..he was cheerful and was always ready to help anyone in need but ,at the same time will not hesitate to speak his mind should any situation of injustice occur.he was a good son ......he diligently helped his father and uncles in the farm,and spent time with his pet Renuka who always looked upon him
her mentor and pillar of strength..he had a solution for all her problems.Raghav finished loading the baskets of vegetables into the waiting lorry and returned back to the resting shed.............Satish Singhania washed his feet off mud and hung his straw hat and boots ,placed the hoe and spades back in its place on a rack,shut the shed door and walked towards his waiting son.........from a distance Renuka was waving towards them.........." lunch is served hurry up......" we are hungry......." Raghav waved back to his sister then placed a gentle hand on his father's shoulder and together they walked home slowly and upon reaching ,father and son washed their feet and went into the house, nostrils flared ,the aroma of good home cooked food filled the house,,they quickly showered and sat at the table .Gauri Singhania smiled and reached for the plates and served food..'she smilled " I made everyone's favourite vegetable briyani "she said scooping rice for her husband Satish and son Raghav

CHAPTER 3

Raghav sat watching his mum gauri serve him food...."ma ".....he called gently and lovingly...........he smiled ..as gauri looked at him her face lightened up for she knew what the gentle "ma was all about............"...Raghav son...you are an adult and you still want me to feed you..." she chuckled.........."yes ma i still want you to feed me at least the first mouthful...please ma' he pleaded and smilled and quickly leaned forward and kissed his mother gauri on her temple and put his arm on her shoulder..............Gauri Singhania laughed ,her son Raghav was still very much a little boy in his heart when it came to his mum......she happily fed him the first mouthful of vegetable briyani and sat beside her husband who seemed. delighted .experiencing the warmth of his close knit family.Renuka watched her big brother with awe.she prayed silently in her heart to god to have the same parents and brother in all the future generations in the after life. she too wanted to eat the first mouthful of food from her mum and Gauri obliged......................." just you wait Raghav your bride is going to take my place" Gauri said looking at Raghav...............Raghav laughed out loudly , his whole body shaking with mirth at his mother's words........."Oh no ma.......never and not so fast."....he replied.....................

Miles away at that precise moment in a foreign land a young woman coughed and in the process dropped the glass of juice she was holding......
" ha! ha ! ha !...... someone is thinking of you.another woman teased.........."Rubbish ," exclaimed the woman .picking up the glass and quickly rushed into the bathroom to dab a towel over her juice soaked silk dress,but the stain was too obvious and she quickly removed the silk dress and dumped it into the laundry basket and hurried out back to her room......pouting her full luscious lips......"charmaine where do you get all this kind of crazy ideas.......Karma... Fate.... Destined....." she hurled these words towards her friend sitting on her bed applying nail polish and admiring her painted nails

CHAPTER 4

" Kalpi, it's okay if you don't believe in all this kind of things .i am not offended but i just have a very strong feeling that you are going far away from all of us and find your true love....The young woman, Kalpana Jadhav .giggled at her friend"s words.she picked up a small cushion and smacked her friend still laughing....."true love ,oh my god ,what is that ?.....true love is rich boys. expensive cars.high society..loads of diamonds and dumb idiots trying to impress me...especially Rohan.......i simply cannot tolerate his "darling .I will be there for you anytime you need me.what the hell.." he is not my keeper.....................Charmaine...Kalpi's close friend sat up in bed,her face lightened up.she gave a sly smile'Kalpi why don't you just run away from home,"enjoy the world '...........................Kalpana Jadhav .sat at the edge of the bed and looked at her friend" what about my bodyguards Charmaine.how do i throw them off my trail ?........you know how they like to hound me......".God please open that door to my freedom for me please.."....kalpi begged god .....on her knees..........i cannot tolerate this prison life anymore"....i want you to help me hatch an escape plan.but you must swear on your life never ever to tell anyone about this...Kalpana Jadhav lowered her voice and quickly rushed to lock the room door.afraid that Sheetal would come and report about her plan.......Sheetal kapoor was her close friend and college mate who was a spy who reports every single thing to Mr Jadhav.'.....Renuka made a mental note of her plans..she was going to leave her London home and just go somewhere .She opened the window and cold air drifted in......."SUNSHINE ...... I WANT SUNSHINE....she shouted at the top of her voice ." Yes Kalpi.....that's it , let off steam..go for it"........Charmaine encouraged....the ladies hugged each other and danced around the room.then whacked each other with feather pillows.the whole room was filled with flying feathers......they were both having a good time .and failed to realise the knock on the door......it swung open and a man walked in ,he got caught in the feather pillow fight and coughed," ladies , ladies please behave yourselves.." he said .Kalpi and Charmaine giggled and sneaked out of the room.......Kalpi's world was about to change .It was her destiny

CHAPTER 5

kalpana Jadhav ran all the way to her room at the left wing of Saphire Palace at East London......her luxurious home sprawled on vast land.....she had grown up there .after her mum passed away of brain tumor when she had been only eight.she had had numerous nannies but they all left when they could not tolerate her erratic behaviour,only one nanny survived and lasted for more than fifteen years and was still around to care for kalpana.................."Charmaine, quick help me pack my bag, before Sheetal gets news of my plans"...The two girls packed the bag in a frenzy, and sneaked downstairs'' mami will be arriving shortly Charmaine.distract the guard when he opens the gate .i will escape."whispered Kalpi''..........Mami was the middle aged nanny..who had been with kalpi since she was eight years old....kalpi had grown to like her so much that she had started calling her mami..true enough Mrs Madhu arrived and kalpi hid behind a pillar close to the gate.The guard opened the gate for Mrs Madhu.and she got a shock of her life and screamed.":Snake! . oh my God !.snake!....The guard rushed forward,leaving his post .....Kalpi waited ,tension arising within her,her backpack felt heavy suddenly,she turned to look at her Father's palace..then moved as fast as lightning towards the gate and felt like a bird out of her cage..........Charmaine had thrown a plastic snake to distract the guard.....while earlier Kalpi had cut the wires connecting to the cctv room and one guard was still repairing it.......Kalpi waited for Charmaine to arrive

Kalpi waited for Charmaine to arrive,crouching behind a shrub at the main driveway leading to Saphire Palace.......It was cold out there,and Kalpi was wearing only a thin jacket it was not much protection against the cold wind.she shivered and took out her gloves and put in on..hidden behind the shrub she could see the garbage truck drive in to The Palace,followed by the grocer..everthing has be in order and the manager who was in charge of every detail.was a man without any expression..kalpi hated his cold face .he was not a friendly person instead was more like an army general....Kalpi waited, apprehensive."why are you taking so long to come" kalpi cursed under her breath..she could see cars moving fast on the road,the wait for Charmaine seemed long,kalpi strained her neck to see what was happening ,she could hear voices but could not make out what it was all about,she remained in her crouched position until her limbs were stiff,still no sign of Charmaine.,fear gripped Kalpi,what if Charmaine had got caught and had blurted out their escape plan to the chief security .....to calm her aggitated senses Kalpi whipped out a bar of Cadbury chocolate from her pocket and nibbled on it loving the taste of Chocolate melting in her mouth.....,the sudden rustling of leaves startled her,she ducked her head as low as possible afraid, carefully she peeped to see and she saw Charmaine's red sneakers,Kalpi gave a sigh of relief......."psssst , Kalpi ,where are you? Charmaine whispered searching around her
