9:Aye aye Major

Gibberish by Max
Picture of Willow, Nora, and Alice

"Is everything ready to go," Keenan asked Lee discreetly. Luna and India were pulling up to Keenan's house now, the meeting spot but the topic of alcohol had not been discussed yet. Keenan knew for sure that if India knew of any illegal substances being present on the trip than she would leave immediately.

"I packed it all up in the back of my truck," he said. His arm was around the shoulders of his own girl, Willow, a shy girl from a town over who worked at the same place as Lee. "Also I meant to tell you that Jesse and his girl will meet us later at the camp sight."

Keenan growled in the back of his throat. "I can't believe he actually got a girl. How much do you want to bet it's the ugliest girl in town so he knows I won't try?"

"I guess we'll just have to see," Lee murmured.

Keenan walked down the steps of his porch to open the door for India. When he did he noticed the sad smile on her lips instantly.

"Are you okay," he asked worriedly.

She hopped out of Luna's car and told Keenan," I'm fine. Just nervous I guess."

Keenan knew she was lying but he figured it would be better if he didn't push it. "Well come meet the guys and girls. They're excited to see you."

"Where's Aiden," Luna asked once she hopped out of the driver's side of her car.

"I think he's inside with Ivan in the kitchen."

Luna seemed uninterested but it was clear to Keenan that she was trying very hard not to go hunt after him. Together they walked up the steps to the front porch where Lee, Willow, Ajax, his girl as well as Ivan's girl were all waiting.

"India, Luna, this is Lee, Willow, Ajax, Nora, and Alice," Keenan said, trying hard to get all the girls' names right.

"I think we have Math together," Nora said to India with a welcoming smile. Nora was on the volley ball team which made Ajax want her, her long legs and all. Alice was the lucky junior who caught Ivan's eye but rumor had it that she had already been around her entire grade. She would be the girl who would make the whole game really start once she latched her eyes on another guy.

"Oh yeah, you sit in the back of the class," India said shyly. Keenan knew she wasn't good at talking to people so to offer some comfort he threw his arm around her and pulled her to his side.

"I bought extra smore ingredients for us, but shh, don't tell anyone," he whispered into her ear.

India gave him a smile then, a real smile and Keenan finally felt excited for the trip.

"So what are the cars going to look like," Ajax asked curiously.

"Well Willow and I are going to drive in my truck, no room for anyone else," Lee stated.

"Ah, no room huh," Ajax said with a smirk. Willow's eyes went kind of big before they hardened into stone. Her hair was a light purple that was braided down her back and the tattoo on her right wrist was very visible, as well as the one on her collarbone.

India stared at her amazed for a bit, admiring her exotic hair but wondering why anyone would want purple hair. India thought she looked like giant cotton candy.

"India and I are going to ride together. Anyone else is welcome to come with us. I have enough room in my car," Keenan told everyone.

"Can Luna and Aiden drive with us," India whispered to Keenan.

Keenan nodded his head in agreement the same time Aiden and Ivan came through the doors, their arms loaded with bags of food.

"Luna," Aiden said cheerfully, pulling her into a hug. She giggled and hugged him back tightly.

"We were just trying to figure out cars plans," Luna told him.

"I go where food goes," Ivan spoke up, making everyone laugh.

"You guys should come with India and I. It will be easier that way I think," Keenan proposed.

"I guess that leaves us four with all the food," Ajax said happily to Nora, Ivan, and Alice.

Keenan rolled his eyes while India giggled. "Let's hit the road guys, we don't have time to waste."

"Aye, aye major," Ivan bellowed, following after Keenan. Everyone laughed but didn't care to correct the poor Russian man.

...

India tried to not look at her phone the entire drive up to the camping sight but it was hard. She listened to the boy from the library speak to another girl the other day on the phone. She couldn't understand everything that was being said but she had a bad feeling about it all.

She couldn't believe a good looking boy like himself started talking to her, there had to be something up. That's why she believed the girl was more than just a friend so she hung up. She thought it would be better to end whatever it was before she got too attached.

She looked down at her phone before they got too far into the forest. She sent a text to her father and almost texted the boy, before she changed her mind and tucked her phone away for the last time.

...

"If I'm going on this stupid trip with you than I get to pick the radio station," Aurora demanded, reaching for the radio knob once again.

Jesse slapped her hand away for the fifth time. "This is my car, you don't get to pick shit."

"I'm going to kill you before this trip is over," she grumbled, leaning back in her seat. She felt her phone buzz in her pocket and she pulled it out, happy to see Max's name on it.

"Hey baby," she said as she answered the phone.

"Hey cutie," he replied, making Aurora blush. "I wanted to hear your voice one last time before you lost signal."

Jesse gagged at their gross romantics that he could hear from his spot. Aurora hit him sharply on the shoulder making him wince. She continued to talk to her boyfriend while Jesse began to moan out loud.

"Oh god Aurora, yeah just like that, don't stop," he screamed like a porn star.

"Who is that," Max asked from the other end.

"Just the most annoying crude person on this planet," she grumbled. "I want you to do me a favor babe, bust me out of prison because I'm pretty sure I'm going to kill him."

Max laughed, happy to hear that Aurora did actually hate him. He knew that Aurora was a tough girl who scared off boys, all except himself.

Aurora and Max continued to talk while Jesse tried hard not to listen. He turned his music up louder but Aurora would only make sure to raise her voice.

Jesse knew the time was coming that all phone service would turn off so he quickly picked up his phone from the compartment beside him. While glancing at the road every second he texted out a text to the library girl.

'I won't have service for the next week but when I get back meet me at the library. I want to see you again'

He even added a smiley face against his better judgment.

She hadn't called him back or texted him back and when Jesse called her the day before she didn't answer. He didn't want to give up hope though.

"What the hell do you think you're doing," Aurora squealed at him.

He looked at her questionably before looking down at his phone to press send.

"What do you mean?"

"You're texting and driving," she screamed. "Do you know how dangerous that is?" She still had her phone pressed up to her ear so Jesse knew that her boyfriend could hear all of this.

"I'm done see?" He held up his phone before setting it back down. "Don't freak the hell out."

"You could have killed us," she cried.

He rolled his eyes and gripped the steering wheel tighter. He didn't know how he was going to survive the next week with her. "I didn't."

"But you could have! You do realize that we're driving on a cliff right now right?"

Jesse looked to his right, past Aurora to see the road drop off to a three hundred foot fall. The distance was obviously dangerous and could lead to instant death.

"They should really put up some guard rails," he said obliviously.

"Or you should keep your eyes on the damn road," she screamed.

"Relax woman," he muttered as the radio started to fade in and out.

"Max," she said into the phone. "Max," she called again. "Are you there?" She groaned loudly. "I don't have any service now." She threw her phone back into her bag.

"Here plug in my phone," Jesse said, handing her his phone. "Play some music."

Aurora did as she was told with a scowl but when the music played her jaw dropped a little.

"This is really good," she breathed out, listening intently to the sound of the singer's voice. "Who is this?"

Jesse adjusted in his seat uncomfortably. "It's me," he mumbled.

"No fucking way," she gaped. "That's impossible."

Jesse turned to glare at her. "What is that supposed to mean?"

"It's supposed to mean that I didn't believe you had any real talent," she clarified with no remorse.

"Oh thanks," he said sarcastically.

"Shh, don't talk. I want to hear this."

For the rest of the car ride Aurora would 'shh' Jesse every time he tried to speak so she could hear him sing instead.
