Part 2

The next day Felix sat in class anxiously waiting for the bell to chime so he could head to his advanced English class. He was desperate to see Changbin again. He didn't know why, but the older boy's image was stuck in his brain the entire day after they'd met. He was so intrigued by him, and couldn't help but wonder why he was always alone.

He was cut out of his daydream when the teacher announced the end of the lecture and not minutes later the bell chimed. He stood up quickly, surprising his friends around him.

"Are you okay?" Jeongin asked him.

"Yeah." Hyunjin chuckled lightly. "What's the rush?"

"Oh no, I'm fine." Felix smiled to assure them. "Just don't wanna be late." He quickly packed his things and swung his bag onto his shoulder. "I'll see you guys soon." He waved bye to them before exiting the room, leaving them all slightly surprised.

When he arrived at the classroom door he checked the back row right away, but to his disappointment, Changbin wasn't there. He leaned back to look down the hall, hoping to see him, but he didn't. He sighed and walked in the room, moving up to his desk near Chan.

"Oi, Hey Felix how are you?" Said older Aussie greeted.

"Good, I um- I'm gonna run to the restroom real quick kay?" He asked putting his bag on his chair.

"Yeah, okay." Chan replied semi-curiously watching as the boy ran back out of the room.

Felix went to the bathroom closest to the classroom and stopped in the doorway, hearing laughing. He looked around to see a group of three seniors speaking with each other around the sinks. All the stall doors were open as well and Changbin wasn't in sight. Where could he be..? He asked himself. He didn't know what he was trying to accomplish by finding him, but he felt the need to see him again.

"You lost shortie?" One of the seniors asked with a smug smile, looking him up and down.

"Uh... no." Felix replied moving over to the sinks to wash his hands, so he didn't look crazy for coming in and then leaving.

The senior who spoke to him moved to the sink next to him, leaning against it and watching him closely.

Felix tried to ignore him as he reached to grab some paper towels to dry his hands.

"You're the new kid." The older then asked, "You're in my senior English class right?"

"Yeah." Felix replied.

"You got a name?" He then asked using his tongue to move the toothpick between his teeth to the opposite side of his smirk.

"Felix. Lee Felix." He replied.

"Felix? Foreigner huh?" He chuckled condescendingly. "I'm Park Sangjun."

Felix didn't like the way the seniors looked at him, the air was thick with hostility. He decided to leave quickly. "Nice to meet you, I should get back to class-"

"Oi." Sangjun stopped him by the shoulder roughly. "I'm your senior right? You should show a bit of respect."

"Sorry." Felix replied bowing to them. "Goodbye Hyung."

He quickly walked towards the exit keeping his eye on them as he left, once in the hall he sprinted a bit towards the classroom, taking his seat.

"You alright?" Chan asked after a bit seeming to recognize his off mood. "You seem a bit shook up."

"What?" Felix asked before snapping his eyesight back to his new friend's direction. "Oh... yeah I'm okay."

Minho looked back as Sangjun walked in as well, taking his seat on the opposite side of the classroom. "Sangjun."

"What?" Felix asked.

"It's Sangjun isn't it? He said something to you?" Minho spoke again.

Chan looked over to Said male who was watching them, particularly Felix. "Sangjun?" Chan asked seeming to get a bit overprotective putting himself between Felix and the mentioned senior's gaze. "What did he do to you?"

"Nothing really, I just didn't get good vibes from him." Felix explained.

"Well Your intuition is right." Chan replied. "Felix piece of advice, stay away from him. He's nothing but bad news, and you really don't want him targeting you."

"Why? What does he do?" Felix asked.

"Depends really, on how much he dislikes you. He's you're typical bully but brutal; I've heard he's got connections. There've been people who have left school because of him, if they get too much on his bad side." Chan explained. "And his family's loaded so he doesn't ever really have to face consequences."

"He bullied Jisung last year, that fucking asshole." Minho added. "Luckily Jisung ignored him, and we were always around so he got bored eventually, but some of his victims aren't as lucky."

The bell indicating the start of class chimed, interrupting their conversation.

"Don't worry, just stay away from him and stick with us and the others and you'll be fine." Chan added in a hushed tone.

Felix nodded before Turing to face the teacher who was greeting them. "Mr. Changbin." She suddenly stated looking disappointed. "Late again, I hope this won't become a habit."

The name perked up Felix's ears and he looked back to see his new found interest entering the classroom from the back door.

"Sorry Miss, I got caught up." He replied without even looking at her and simply sitting in his usual seat.

The teacher just sighed and continued with the lecture, but for the next few moments all Felix's eyes and attention could focus on was the boy sitting alone in the back of the classroom. He wasn't listening to the teacher either, in fact he was looking out the window, watching the front courtyard impassively, as if he were detached from the world both inside and outside the school walls.  Felix grew mesmerized, almost completely enthralled in his image. It almost seemed as if the senior had a dark shroud surrounding him that was pushing everyone and everything away from him. And yet... Felix felt strangely drawn to him...

"Felix." Chan whispered, nudging him out of his trance.

Felix turned back toward him and the older pointed forward as if telling him to listen. He smiled semi-nervously and went back to trying to listen to the teacher, but he couldn't help but have Changbin still at the forefront of his mind.

"Alright for the remainder of the class I want all if you with partners to to continue to practice the varying English vocabulary on pages 21-24. Then, by the end of tomorrow's lesson have a short story, fully written in English, using the words and phrases. This as well as your practicing will help with the quizzes throughout the year, as well as the exams." The teacher explained. "This practice and story again is to be done with a partner, no groups. You may work by yourself if you feel capable however. You may get together and begin."

"Felix mate, sorry but so far me and Minho have been working on everything for this class together, and we already started working ahead on this chapter." Chan frowned.

"We can try to convince Miss Park to make an acceptation because you're new, but she tends to be a little stubborn when it comes to instructions." Minho joined the conversation.

"No, don't worry about it." Felix waved it off. "Really, I can find someone to work with no problem." He smiled to himself a bit having the perfect person in mind.

Chan still seemed to feel guilty but Felix patted his shoulder and assured him again that it was alright. He then look back and, as to his expectations, Changbin was opening his book and beginning to work alone. Felix didn't want to give him the chance however and quickly stood up, grabbing his things, and moving back in the classroom.

He slid into the desk next to Changbin and smiled. "Hyung." he addressed grabbing the older's attention. "Do you want to work together?"

Changbin seemed slightly surprised by his offer and looked around as if someone had dared him to do it, but when he found no evidence he moved his gaze back to Felix. "Um... I usually work alone."

"Hm... please, I don't have any friends to work with yet." Felix pouted slightly. "Besides I'm actually fluent in English, so I could really be of help."

Changbin looked at him for a moment, his eyes shifting slightly as if searching for something. He couldn't help but feel strange looking at the Aussie's kind face. He seemed so bright and vibrant, so much unlike himself. This only confused him more, this kid was just a normal student, like anybody else, so why did he sense something different and almost alleviating about him. "Mm sure, if you really want to." He looked away back down at his book, ignoring whatever had just come over him.

Felix's smile grew. "Really?? Yay, let's begin!" He moved his desk closer, so they could both see the pages of the book together.

-&-

Felix and Changbin were currently working on reviewing the vocabulary before coming up with the story. Felix was a little disappointed because though they were working together, Changbin wasn't talking to him much... or looking at him much... or acknowledging his existence much at all. Despite this, Felix was glad he already knew what he was doing because all he could seem to focus on was the person right next to him, and right now he seemed confused.

"Can I help you with something?" Felix asked seeing the opportunity.

Changbin glanced at him a moment before answering. "I don't know this word." He pointed at it on the page before sounding it out. "'a-dor-able', what does it mean?"

Felix bit back a smile leaning over to look at the page. "'Adorable' it comes from the word adore, which is to love and respect someone deeply, so adorable is how you would describe someone when you find them really cute."

"Cute?" Changbin asked looking up at him, slightly surprised by the fact he'd gotten closer without him really realizing.

"Mhm..." Felix nodded lightly looking over the other's features once again. He hadn't seem him so close before, and he began to realize just how attractive he found him now that they were facing each other. He hardly noticed the slight smile tug at the corner of his lip. "Really cute..."

Changbin looked back at him in confusion, but also felt as if he couldn't look away.

The bell then chimed however, indicating the end of class, an snapping both of the males' attention away from each other.

"Um..." Felix let out a quiet nervous chuckle, feeling his cheeks go a little warm. "We can continue with the story part tomorrow, if you need anymore help don't worry I can teach you." He collected up his things.

"Thanks." Changbin stated simply.

"I'll um... see you tomorrow then Hyung." Felix bowed slightly as he stood and smiled back at him one last time before hurrying up to join Chan and Minho to go to lunch.

"Are you okay?" Chan asked him.

"Huh?" Felix asked surprised by the slight concern.

"You seem nervous." Chan pointed out causing Minho to also look over at the younger.

"What? Oh no, I'm just hungry, come on let's go meet with the others." He smiled walking out of the room with them, glancing at Changbin on the way out.

'Adorable' He thought back to the phrase, smiling to himself. It wasn't a word he thought most people would use to describe Changbin's dark demeanor, and yet... he truly is very cute isn't he?

Hey guys, it's been a while hasn't it? Ha ha yeah... I have a bad habit of working on too many projects at once... Anyways! I hope you like the new chapter. It is still a bit slow right now, but it'll get more interesting, trust me. (At least I hope lol). Anyways tell me your opinions and maybe even predictions. Vote and comment, bye!
