Third Person POV
"I believe you're in good hands now," Ohm said to Win before turning towards the door to leave.
"Thanks for bringing me safely back here," Win replied. "I'll see you in class tomorrow."
Ohm nodded politely to Bright as a way of by your leave before turning the doorknob and leaving the two roommates by themselves.
As soon as Win and Bright were by themselves, Bright made a step towards Win. Win automatically shut his eyes, not wanting to get into a discussion with Bright.
"I'm sorry, Win," Bright said softly, kneeling beside Win's bed.
Win opened his eyes. He had not expected this behavior from Bright.
"I should not have behaved as I did towards your boyfriend," Bright continued when Win stayed silent.
Win sighed heavily.
"He is not my boyfriend," Win finally spoke.
Bright wanted to ask a few questions but decided to hold back for now.
"Do you have any classes to attend today?" Bright asked instead.
"I have one class to attend at three this afternoon," Win said, "but I might have to forego it because of my sprained ankle."
"Would you like me to bring you to the infirmary for further treatment on it?" Bright offered.
"No, thanks," Win replied. "I'm good for now."
Bright's stomach started to complain. Bright remembered that he had not eaten any breakfast yet and since it was almost eleven o'clock now he thought he might as well get some brunch food.
"I'm going out for some food," Bright informed Win. "Would you like me to bring you some?"
"Why are you being nice to me?" Win asked suspiciously.
"Because I'm a nice person," Bright replied, hiding a smirk.
Win was not yet feeling hungry because he had a heavy breakfast at Ohm's place but because he figured that he would be stuck in his room for some time because of his sprained ankle, he decided to graciously accept Bright's offer.
"I'm sorry for doubting your intentions," Win said, "yes, I gladly and gratefully accept your offer to bring me some food."
"What kind of food did you have in mind?" Bright asked.
"I'm not a picky eater," Win replied. "I can have whatever you're having."
"I was thinking of stopping by that Thai restaurant at the mini plaza and getting some of their chicken in sweet potato soup," Bright said because he wanted a change from the seafood that he had been having for a few days now at the Seafood Shack where his acquaintance Chimlin the pretty restaurant owner, or daughter of the owner, always gave him warm and friendly service.
"Chicken in sweet potato soup sounds great to me," Win said, sitting up from his bed to pull out his wallet from his pocket.
"I wasn't asking you to pay for the food," Bright protested. "You can keep your money. I'm leaving now."

Toey was eating an early lunch at the Thai restaurant in the mini plaza when he saw Bright come into the restaurant and go straight to the clerk behind the counter. He was probably going to order some take out food, Toey thought.
Toey didn't know Bright's name but he knew that Bright was staying just two doors away from Toey's own room because he would often see Bright coming out of his room in only his swim trunks, with a towel slung carelessly across his shoulder. This encounter would usually happen at around half past five in the afternoon when Toey would just be coming back from his last class for the day.
Because Toey was a shy person he would only nod to Bright in greeting instead of saying hi or hello whenever their eyes happened to meet. Bright would also only nod back in greeting.
Toey wondered when he would ever get the courage to say anything to Bright when he got the chance to meet him again.
Toey's heart was beating unusually fast when, after Bright had given his take out order to the cashier he turned around and Bright's eyes landed on Toey.
Toey as usual nodded to acknowledge Bright's presence. Then Toey's heart started to beat even faster when he realized that Bright was walking towards his table.
"Hi," Bright said to Toey when he got near enough to his table.
"Hi," Toey tried to put on a look of nonchalance.
"You don't mind if I sit at your table while I wait for my take out order?" Bright asked.
So I was right, Toey thought, he wasn't going to eat inside the restaurant.
"Of course not," Toey replied. "Go ahead and take a seat."
"Thanks," Bright said, pulling out the chair right beside Toey's instead of the one across the table.
Bright's manly scent reached Toey's nose. The scent was mild and very pleasant. It sent Toey's heart racing again.
"I'm assuming that your room is on the same floor as mine since I often see you walking along the same corridor where my room is located," Bright said after settling himself comfortably on his chair.
"That's right," Toey said, after which he grabbed his glass of ice cold water because suddenly his throat felt dry.
"I'm Bright by the way," said Bright, extending his hand to Toey.
Toey accepted Bright's hand, saying, "And I'm Toey."
Bright was about to say something else when he heard his name being called out by the staff from behind the cashier counter.
"My take out food is ready," Bright said, standing from his chair. "Thanks for letting me wait for my food at your table. It was nice meeting you formally."
"Of course," Toey replied. "The pleasure is all mine."
And Toey totally meant it.
Toey watched Bright's back as he walked towards the cashier. He was about the same height as Toey's. He had a broad back and his tight jeans covered his muscular thighs and legs. Toey tried not to focus on Bright's posterior but he could not help noticing how with every step the movements would make them more defined against the fabric of his jeans.
Toey grabbed his tall glass of ice cold water once more because his throat felt drier than ever before.
Bright waved at Toey on his way out of the restaurant.
Toey's heart sank. He noticed that Bright was holding two brown bags of take out food. He was probably going to bring it to his roommate. Toey had also seen Bright's roommate. Bright's roommate was just as good looking as Bright. Toey wondered if Bright and his roommate were in a relationship.
Toey waved back at Bright after which he pushed back his plate of pork and peanut curry. He found that he could not take another spoonful of his food. He had suddenly lost his appetite.
He stood up and made his way to the cashier to pay for his food after which he rushed out the door to make his way to his afternoon class.
With head bowed, he rushed out the door and promptly ran against someone's broad solid chest.
"Mind where you're going, buddy," that someone said in a gruff but pleasant and friendly voice as he held on to Toey's sides to keep Toey from losing his balance.
