Chapter 59: Reunion of a Similar Kind
When the expected knock sounded from the other side of the front door, Jimin ran to answer it, "I got it!" He called throughout the rest of the house. The others stood or sat where they were, while Jungkook hurried to get Namjoon from the back of the dorm where he was sitting with Felina. Yoongi sat still, waiting on the couch and Jin leaned against the counter where he'd been talking with Hoseok and Taehyung, a pot of broth simmering on the stove.
Two males and one female walked into the main portion of the dorm, following Jimin. All three dressed in modern clothing, but looking out of place in the room. It was not the fact that they were tall, or looked inhuman, they simply seemed different with the taller of the two males seeming aloof yet still somehow wild, a degree of feral energy suffusing his body and seeping from his skin. All band members in the room stood from their previous positions, holding fast with questions and suspense evident in their body language.
Namjoon came out from the hallway, Jungkook following on his heels, and spied the three strangers. He held out his hand, offering a greeting with a serious expression on his face, "Hello. My name is Namjoon. I am Felina's boyfriend." He explained in English.
The shorter of the two males took Namjoon's hand with a small bow. He offered Namjoon their human names, rather than their native names, to further the welcome, "I am Daniel." He explained in Korean, then continued, gesturing to his companions, "This is Jaron and Melusine, our healers."
Namjoon shifted his eyes between the three and asked as he responded to Daniel in Korean, "Are you Felina's son?" He gazed at Daniel for a few seconds before his eyes deviated from the other male to the taller of the two. Jaron was at least three inches taller than himself, being the tallest in the room, and as Namjoon's eyes settled on him, he realized his mistake.
Offering his hand to Jaron in greeting, Namjoon found the attempt rejected as the other man did not take it. Instead, Jaron gave a crisp bow, and a feral smile, recognizing Namjoon's realization. It was almost as if he was presenting a threat, rather than offering a greeting. In heavily accented English he enunciated, responding to Namjoon's thoughts rather than his words, "She is my mother. Your assumption is correct. I will see her now."
Unsettled, Namjoon bowed in return to Jaron and spoke, "Uh. She's in the back." He informed the other male and turned to guide the three down the hall. As they disappeared into the back of the house, Taehyung and Jimin stared at each other for what seemed like long moments, until Jimin shook himself at the precipice of a faint shiver, and looked away from Taehyung towards the dark portal of the hallway. Seokjin, equally affected, finally closed his mouth, having stared at Melusine the entire time the introductions were being made. Jungkook, concerned for his hyung, followed after the group, as if to offer some sort of support or protection to his leader, with Yoongi making a close third. Hoseok did not move from his spot, almost as if he were the proverbial deer in the headlights. He, too, shook himself as if shaking off something particularly frightening, wondering what they had gotten themselves into.
The woman, Melusine, as Hoseok thought of her, was beautiful. As exotic as Felina, yet not as tall. Maybe close to Taehyung's height with golden blond hair that fell to her waist and curled around her face in loose tendrils. It was gathered up in a braid and swung in time to her walk. He recalled watching her as she walked away from the remainder of those who did not follow, her hips swaying, as her hair appeared to dance against her back. He shivered remembering her piercing light green eyes and shining skin, then looked over at Seokjin, who appeared even more shell shocked then he did. Seokjin had grown quiet, staring into the pot of broth as he stirred it.
Jimin whispered into the silence that had fallen over the room, "That guy Daniel seemed nice..." He said and paused, then continued with his voice barely above the whisper he had begun to speak in, "but that Jaron guy was scary." Taehyung agreed with his friend with a frown and a nod. He glanced at Jimin sideways, then saying nothing hurried after the group that had disappeared into Hoseok's room.

Biting his lip softly, Jimin stuck his tongue out and slowly licked his lips, thinking of the three people, as he watched Taehyung disappear from the room. The woman had been gorgeous, with thick, deep rose colored lips, high cheekbones and elegantly arched eyebrows. Her face was heart-shaped, with her hair framing her face delicately. She was very nice to look at. The two men with her had also been impressive. The man, Daniel had platinum blond hair and eyes the color of faded sunflowers, with specks of gold shining from their depths. He'd never seen anything like it. Though he had seen Felina's eyes, in their natural state, the fire shining in them despite her convalescence, he was accustomed to the silver sheen of them, and he'd already gotten used to their appearance. The almost soft, glowing yellow of Daniel's eyes had been mesmerizing, though. Daniel's presence was congenial and relaxing, which was a direct counterpoint to Jaron's presence, which had unsettled all of them. Jaron reminded Jimin of a panther, stalking its prey, ready to pounce at any moment. 'And this guy was a healer?' Jimin thought privately. He stood in place as he stared at the darkened opening to the hallway, then without thinking, found his feet moving from where he stood to follow the others.

Seokjin stared into the pot of broth, his expression blank. He felt a hand on his shoulder as Hoseok moved closer to him, "Ya. Are you okay?" The younger man asked.
Looking up, he gazed at Hoseok for a moment before setting the ladle he'd been using to the side on the counter, "I'm okay." He responded and moved to the cupboard to grab a bowl for the broth. He stood looking at the bowl for a few long seconds before placing it on the counter thoughtfully, "That was Felina's son, though? I didn't know she had a son."
Hoseok agreed, voicing his thoughts, "Ya. Joonie knew though. There's a lot he didn't tell us."
"I guess so." Seokjin retorted as he went to pick up the bowl to add the broth to it, then shook his head and set the bowl down again, "I didn't think she was old enough to have a son our age." Seokjin stated, almost as if talking to himself, as he picked the bowl up, then the ladle. Suddenly, thinking better of it, he set the dish down once more and asked Hoseok, "Hey, could you see if it's okay to dish this broth up for Felina? The doctor said to prepare it, but now her family is here and I'm not sure if she's ready for it."
"Sure." Hoseok stated, ignoring Seokin's previous statements for his new request, "I'll be right back." He informed the other man, as he turned to leave the room, hurrying for Seokjin's sake.
Seokjin stirred the pot of broth as he quickly became lost in his musing. He couldn't stop thinking about Melusine. She was quickly sinking deep into his psyche as if her very presence called to him. If anyone could read his thoughts, and he suspected she could if she wanted to, they would know that he was already far gone into craving and infatuation, still shocked into circular thoughts that would not leave him be. He cleared his throat as if to clear his mind and busied himself, turning to wash dishes left in the sink. He would try not to think of the woman, Melusine, he decided, as without realizing it he slipped again into thoughts of her.

Hoseok stepped into his room, but stood just inside the doorway. The room was a decent size, but crowded with the bodies in it. Taehyung stood at the edge of the door, studying the room through the open portal. Jungkook stood to the side, near Namjoon and Yoongi stood even closer, as if using his body to protect the other man. Both men were tense as they stood beside Namjoon. Jimin stood leaning against the far wall, with his arms crossed over his chest. Having decided to brave the frightening trio, he did not look like he would budge. Jimin's position offered him a clear image of Jaron, who angled towards his mother, his hand on both her cheeks and his forehead leaning against hers. His hair was long as it fell over hers, dark auburn curls that blended with her lighter auburn locks.
Felina's son stood up from his position, then sat on the bed as he pulled away, while he seemed to confer with her silently. She spoke in whispers, as if responding to his words, while he spoke with his expression, his eyes punctuating whatever words he was conveying silently. Felina's whispers, when heard, seemed to be responses to questions none of his brothers could hear, and her language was like nothing Hoseok had heard before.
Stepping up beside Namjoon, whose expression was pained, Hoseok put his hand on the other man's shoulder, comfortingly, "Jinie wants to know if he should serve the broth now, but maybe not. It doesn't look like Felina is ready for it, yet." He stated in a low murmur as he watched Felina with her son.
Shaking his head, Namjoon agreed, "Not yet. He can keep it warmed, I think."
The female, Melusine, sidled up to them, drifting in from the shadows and spoke in Korean, her voice mellifluous and heavily accented, "Bring me to your Jinnie. I will examine his broth." She stated as she looked directly into Hoseok's eyes, her own light green flashing softly. Swallowing back his nervousness at her sudden appearance, he nodded and gestured for her to follow him.
It wasn't that he hadn't noticed her in the room. How could he not? Her presence, along with the men, was too obvious. He remembered that Daniel had been prominent in the room, placing himself not far from the door but separate from the others, while Melusine had been on the opposite side of the bed, sitting at its edge, as she watched Jaron confer with their patient. Hoseok had noticed all of them, but had paid more attention to his friends, picking up on their various states of nervous protectiveness. Namjoon was their brother and they would defend him, if they could, but Felina was their sister, in a way, and they wanted to be certain she was okay. His focus had not been on the two strangers stationed nearby, or the man at her bedside, but now that the woman followed him from the room, his focus was entirely on her. He could not help it. She seemed to half float behind him, soundlessly walking in much the same way Felina often did and it made him nervous, yet calmed him at the same time.
