"May I'm off for school!"

"Ok have fun!"

"Don't forget I'm staying at Neds tonight!"

"I remember! Now you better get going or you'll be late for the train!"

"K bye May!"

I walked out the door and down our appartment stairs since everyone knows not to take the eleavator. Once out the door, I pulled out my earbuds and turned on some music. Right after clicking shuffle the intro to Mr. Blue Sky began streaming through my head.

Morning todays forecast calls for blue skys!

Pounding my fists in front of me, I played the air drums along with music. Bouncing along the sidewalk, I danced with the music in my head. The train station was only a few blocks from my house so as long as I kept a good pace and timed the checkmarks right, I would be there on time.

Dancing along the sidewalk, I passed my first checkmark. Right on time.

Stopping by a nearby shop, I looked in the window and saw cakes, muffins and donuts.

Walking through the doors, I waited in a short line in front of the counter. My music coming to a close I looked around the little shop. Its counters were a dark brown wood and it had light gray painted on the walls. It kinda made you focus on the dark wood. The counter made a kind of rotated L shape.

With the building being on a corner, 2 out of the 4 walls were made up of windows. The street wasn't too busy this time of the morning since most people were already at their place of work. Finally, there was only one more person in line before I was up, and I was feeling one of those muffins I had seen in the window.

Ordering a blueberry muffin to go, I walked out of the shop. Scrolling through my playlist, I picked out my next couple of songs.

I passed the old church and that was my second check mark. Looking up, I saw the train station right up ahead. Right on time.

Sitting down, I let the last of the chorus flow though my head.

Just as the doors were closing, a girl came running in. Her hair was splayed all over her face and she was breathing heavily. It was funny watching her as she desperately tried to get all of her hair back in its proper place. Its was funny watching her attempt to put all the little strands  that refused to stay in place. After a few more attempts, she gave up and took her place on the train. She looked too lost in her music to notice me, but that was ok. I just stayed in my place with a small smile on my face.
