9 pt. 2

The night ended with Hana finishing her job with no interruptions. Later on in the night Donghyuck was aware of the tracking device and deposed it immediately. Both went back to their headquarters without encountering each other again.

Hana finished explaining to her older brother Hajoon Jr. about her mission. Her parents were still on a business trip, until then her older brother took care of her mission assignments. But any other interactions, was nonexistent. It was strictly business between him and Hana.

"You're dismissed," Hajoon Jr. said and Hana immediately got up from her seat at the dining table, "Harin told me that you should go to her after. She wants to check on your leg," Hajoon Jr. said and Hana nodded acknowledging what her broher said.

"Nuna!" Hajoon the third, or Joon as he is more known as shouted, "Yoon and I are going to watch a movie, would you want to join us?" Hana looked at Joon to see he was holding a bowl of popcorn heading towards their theater room.

She smiled and nodded, "I'll catch up. I have to see Harin-eonnie," Joon nodded and proceeded to the theater room.

Hana walked towards her sister's study. As she walked along the hallway, she passed the family pictures hanging on the wall. It was all for show. None of them actually were that close. In reality, Hana did not know if her family was actually close to one another. All there interactions with one another seemed to be strictly business related. She is close to Joon and Yoon, but it was shallow.

Was there anyone Hana was actually close to? Maybe her cousins Seulgi and Daniel, but then she couldn't see them just to hangout either. They could only meet up for business related things as well. Hana was staring at a picture of her parents as she thought; Do they actually love each other?

Her parents were smiling at each other in the picture, it was a picture of them during their 30s, she wasn't born yet. Were they always criminal masterminds? She gazed away and went back to going to her sister's study.

She knocked on the door before walking in, "Hajoon-oppa, told me to come here," Hana said as she saw her sister Harin sitting behind her desk.

"Yeah, sit down. I'll be with you in a moment. I'm filing the twins latest medical records," Harin explained as she typed away on her computer.

As Hana's mind completely forgot about her encounter with Donghyuck, Donghyuck was being scolded for it.

"WE TOLD YOU NOT TO ENGAGE!" Taeyong yelled once more as he pounded his punching bag. It was his way of letting out steam, without harming Donghyuck. Which he really wanted to do. They (Taeyong, Jaehyun and Donghyuck) were gathered in training room.

Donghyuck stood still as he listened to his brother scold him. Out of the Lee siblings, Donghyuck was the one who got scolded the most. Which made sense, because he was the one who disobeyed Taeyong the most.

"At least I found out the Kangs and Tían are working together," Donghyuck said trying to defend himself.

Taeyong leaned his head on the punching bag and took off his gloves, "You really think you're the best, huh?" Taeyong threw his gloves on the floor.

"Tae," Jaehyun stepped in front of Taeyong.

"Jae, you better move or I'll punch you instead," Taeyong glared into Jaehyun's eyes.

Jaehyun sighed and stepped aside, "You," Taeyong grabbed Donghyuck by the collar of his shirt, "I don't know who taught you to be so cocky, because Dad sure wasn't cocky," Taeyong said fed up with Donghyuck's attitude once again.

Donghyuck kept a straight face, but he was afraid of Taeyong. He just had a bigger ego to admit his fear.

"Until you start listening to orders, I'm not letting you on another mission," Taeyong let go off Donghyuck and turned his back on his brother.

"You can't do that!" Donghyuck said and Taeyong left the room.

"Jaehyun-hyung, you need to talk to him," Donghyuck looked towards Jaehyun.

"I'm sorry, but you really messed up this time. I really don't get way you have to prove you're the best. He knows it already," Jaehyun shook his head and walked out as well.

Donghyuck started tearing up as he leaned on a wall and slid down. He combed through his hair furiously as he shouted in frustration, "AHH!" He stomped his foot on the floor.

Everything Donghyuck did was for his brother to be proud of him. He wanted to show Taeyong that he was capable of doing things by himself. He wanted Taeyong to know, that he could be there for him. But, it seems to always backfire. Ever since Taeyong took over the family business, he became distant. He wasn't the kind and gentle brother Donghyuck once knew.

Of course, Donghyuck understood his brother needed to be tough. But, he didn't want Taeyong to feel he had to carry all the burden on his shoulders. So Donghyuck went an extra mile, but in Taeyong eyes he was just adding more danger to himself.

Taeyong never wanted any of his brothers to be in deadly missions. But, he knew that he could rely on them. They were trained together, so he knows their skills. He gets mad at Donghyuck, because Donghyuck's actions may get him more results, it also adds danger. Taeyong could care less if any of his brothers, any of his members actually failed. As long they were alive and well at the end of every mission, was a success for him.

But in world where it's life or death, you don't have time to talk about feelings. Everyone ends up having to cope in different ways, instead of talking to each other.

"Hey," Mark walked in the training room with banana milk.

Donghyuck looked up and Mark tossed him the extra banana milk he had, "Thanks," Donghyuck said catching it as Mark sat down beside him.

"Got scolded again, huh?" Mark asked as he took a sip from his drink.

"Nothing new," Donghyuck said opening his, "always the hot-tempered Taeyong-hyung," Donghyuck took a sip.

"He'd scold you less if you just listening to orders," Mark commented and Donghyuck laughed.

"That's hypocritical coming from you," Donghyuck shook his head.

"You and I both know I don't get scolded the way you do," Mark said recalling the reasons he's been scolded. Nothing came close to Donghyuck's reasons.

"Maybe he just needs a girlfriend, to loosen up or something," Donghyuck commented, which made both of them imagine it. "Nah," Donghyuck and Mark said at the same time.

They both laughed and clanked their bottles together, "If you wo don't come to the meeting room in one minute –" Taeyong started to say in the intercom. The two instantly stood up and rushed out of the room, "Bring me one too," Taeyong said softly and the two of them laughed.

The Lee brothers' relationship is weird.

"Healed pretty well this time," Harin said as she examined Hana's leg, "it won't scar as much like the others," she took of her gloves as she walked over her bin to throw them away.

"It's probably because I didn't have to move much lately, gave it more time to heal," Hana said rolling her joggers back down. Before meeting up with her brother earlier for the mission update, she had changed to house clothes.

"That is true," Harin nodded as she leaned against her desk whilst Hana stayed put on the leather couch. "How was tonight's mission?" Harin asked and Hana took a moment to think.

Will she mention her encounter with Donghyuck? Does she care enough to mention him? She didn't mention him towards Hajoon Jr. earlier, why mention him now?

"All I can say is Tían's loyalty won't be an issue," Hana shrugged as she leaned in the couch getting more comfortable.

"Good job then," Harin said as she propped herself of her desk and walked around it, "I'm going to back to work, you should rest," Harin said already sat in front of her PC.

"I'm actually going to join the twins, they're watching a movie," Hana said as she stood up and headed out the room, "maybe you can join us for a bit," Hana suggested, trying to see if her sister would bite.

"That's sweet, but Appa would kill me if I didn't get these done," Harin replied with a frown.

Hana gave her a small smile and shook her head, "No worries. Business comes first," she said and walked out of the room.

Why did business come first?

Hana made her way to the theater room. "Eonnie, sit here!" Yoon said instantly when she saw her older sister come into the room.

"What are we watching?" Hana asked as she settled down between Yoon and Joon.

"Despicable me," Joon said whilst stuffing his face with popcorn, "popcorn?"

"I'm actually craving nachos," Hana shook her head.

"I'll page Jimin to get you nachos," Yoon said and Hana nodded.

As she stared at the screen, Hana's mind wondered for a moment and she felt like a normal young-adult.

Maybe if she had little moments like this more often, she'd be more than fine to do what she does for the family. Maybe if she actually had a family to come home to every mission, she'd be more happy about her job.

But Hana rarely allows herself to daydream about such things for so long. If she did, she'd go depressed over it. Because the truth is, her family isn't like other families. And she has to accept that, no matter how sad it is.

Hana and Donghyuck both have family issues. But Donghyuck had something Hana didn't. Even if he fights with his brothers often, there was still love. Unlike in Hana's family, she had to question what love is, and if it does exist in their family.

Maybe one day. No matter how dark things get, there was always that tiny bit of light in Hana's heart. A light of hope, that maybe someday, her family situation would change.

But what happens when that light goes out? Will Hana become a killing machine with no remorse whatsoever? Or is she already one?

Donghyuck would have to disagree though. In the back of his mind hidden very deeply, he didn't completely think Hana was a monster. It's because of that tiny light in Hana's heart, that's why he stopped Hana from jumping of the bridge. He saw it, and he knew exactly how she felt.

It will take sometime for Donghyuck to fully admit it to himself, but he knew that for some odd reason he felt connected to Hana. And he wanted to find out why.

He wanted to figure why he couldn't fully accept the idea that Hana deserved to die mercilessly. He knew how bad she was. And yet he let her live.

Which is the biggest mistake Donghyuck did.
